      ********************* was amazing friendly and very helpful. He came and set up internet for ** and explained everything to us. He even showed us how to set up Wi-Fi calling on our phone. I highly recommend him. He is an amazing person My sister in law is going to try to get Nextlink and she was here when ****** set ours up and she called and requested him to come set hers up

      They were great for 7 years up until someone at the company scammed us and said they needed to put in a new router. Asked what it would cost and they said nothing. Got the bill this week and it charged us an extra 15 monthly! Called customer service and talked to ***** who was as absolutely no help. CANCELLED. Will not recommend to any family, friends or neighbors.

      Terrible. One guy mentioned they ask for 5 star reviews. I can confirm that. I left a bad review on ****** about two months ago. They asked me to change it to a 5 star in exchange for a free upgrade in speed. I did, but I can no longer stand by that review (I took it down). This company is awful. Been without internet for over 24 hours now and they still don't know when it'll be back up (not weather related). They even shut off the local office number so we can't call in to ask for updates. Get any other internet you can... Phone, satellite, etc. You will regret going with Nextlink.

From what I understand from talking with your previous provider that we acquired, you were unhappy with them as well. Your services are currently still operated by the existing provider you had as nothing has changed with the physical network or equipment as of yet. Your local support number for them has been forwarded to Nextlink's Acquisitions Support team made up of people familiar with your account and services, so help is still available. Your service was down as part of a weather-related outage. Although we would love to restore services immediately when that happens, the safety of our team members is paramount above all else, and we will not put them in danger unnecessarily.Regarding your ****** review, it is common for businesses of every type to ask customers to leave reviews if they are happy with the services or products provided. It is also common for a provider to do everything they can to make it right when a review is negative and ask the consumer to modify it if they are satisfied. This was the case for you. It is unfortunate that you felt the need to go back and remove the review for a situation that had already been made right for you, but that is absolutely your prerogative.       I am in a rural area. My brother who is about 1/2 mile from me has Nextlink highest speed for a few monthw now and is doing fine. A technichian came to my home for instulation of the services but told me I have no signal due to being out of line of service to the tower. The buisness department called me today and told me I would have to pay $150 dollars to have another technichian come to my home to assess what type of tower I would need. The cost of the tower will be $2500 to $6000 at my expense. It will be my own tower and I can do what I want with it. It wasn't discussed but I assume the cost of any maintenence would also be at my expense. The $150 will go to the monthly bills that I would have to continue to pay for the service on top of the cost of the tower. If I want to know if and when a signal ever is in my area I will have to call every 6 to 12 months and ask. I hope other have better luck in getting rural internet service

We are a line-of-sight service so we must have a clear line of sight to a nearby tower. Each location is different, so what may work for your neighbor's house won't necessarily work for your location. Even though a tower might be nearby or within sight, topography, trees, and man-made obstructions may prevent a clear path from your location to where the equipment is installed on the tower. Personal towers are a great option for locations where this is the case, especially as they can be used for multiple utility providers that rely on clear line-of-sight. Should you change your mind about having one constructed, we are happy to help!

      First off ignore the ****** reviews as the reason for them having so many 5 star reviews is because the tech that installed the equipment is begging for the customer to leave a 5 star review before he leaves the install. I know as I was one of many that have been asked to and initially did the same thing. That is why almost all of the reviews have a techs name listed in the review. It's simply part of the game Nextlink plays with their techs to keep the reviews 5 star. I have called customer service 5 or 6 times in the last 7 or 8 days. Why, the 25m connection that I'm paying close to 100 bucks a month for is again showing a ping of *******ms and downloads speeds are 1m-3m at best. Customer Service has the typical scripted responses and can't do anything more that acknowledge that I don't have service while telling me that I'm not the only one on the tower that my dish is pointed to that is having issues. Escalation from customer service to the "senior techs" is pointless as it does nothing. At 3am I have service, at 8am I have service but when everyone in the neighborhood starts getting home from about 3pm in the afternoon until 2-3am my service slowly diminishes to nothing. This is a daily occurrence and has been for months. Simply put, they have oversold the service to the point that the towers are saturated so bad all they will tell me is that I'm getting the best signal possible and on the best and ********** available. So when I have a less than a 1m download(.57m to be exact at last check) and a 5.4m upload(upload speed is suppose to be 5m) its not a tower issue, its a bandwidth issue. Nextlink denies this and tries to tell me that again its a tower issue. Yet, there only seems to be a tower issue when the tower is overloaded because too many people are on the tower and heavily using the tower during what would be peak/prime time. Luckily I'm not signed up under a contract so can leave and not have to deal with the outrageous early termination fees

I'm sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the service and that you've decided to go elsewhere. Before you go, I wanted to clear up a few things included in your review. First off, it is a common practice among all businesses to ask for reviews from consumers if the service or goods provided are positive. We do not force our customers to leave reviews. The amount of 5-star reviews you see is because our customers felt that the service provided was exceptional enough to merit the time to leave us one. Likewise, some customers, like yourself, may leave a bad review if they have a bad experience. We address each and every one of those to try to turn the situation around. Our business was grown to the level it is largely via word-of-mouth and reviews are very much a part of that success.In regards to your latency and the intermittent issues you reported, that is the result of heavy ** interference in the area. In areas where wireless providers are heavy, the ** environment becomes very noisy. Providers start to interfere with other providers, which is what we see in your neck of the *****. When people get home and start firing up devices, this causes additional ** pollution. So no, it is not a bandwidth issue that caused your problems, but rather interference with your connection. Sometimes we are able to fix it, and sometimes not. It can be a tricky situation and takes time to properly pinpoint the exact cause. Once again, I'm sorry your experience with us wasn't a good one. I've sent your feedback to our management team for review and consideration. We wish you the best with your new provider.       My internet does not work half the time. I call and get the same thing every time. Bill credit of $27.00 but still doesnt fix the internet or the fact I pay $135.00 a month for service that doesnt work.

      Weve had nothing but trouble with NextLink since it was installed 6 weeks ago. You can see the tower within 2 miles of our farm and we were assured service would be great. The sales people were very persuasive and assured us that the special offer would work great for us. Not so. Once the technicians came out I was told we needed to spend quite a bit more to accomplish what we needed. Its been downhill from there. We loose service multiple times per day. I have to do a reset every morning. I have talked to at least 12 technicians on the phone. I am very unhappy with this company but cannot get the same plan I had with our previous provider. We are stuck with horrible, useless service and the company keeps telling me they are working on it.

Looking over your account, it looks like the issues you were experiencing have been with the point-to-point system in your barn. Point-to-point connections can be tricky as they share bandwidth with the primary connection and there are a lot of places within the connection for issues to arise. Interference, either to the radios themselves or within the secondary wireless network, is common. As yours is installed within a barn, this could be an issue with coverage size or materials that are not conducive to a good wireless atmosphere. If you continue to have problems, please do let us know so that we can have our engineers take a look at your setup. Thanks for taking the time to rate us!

I am showing that we recently acquired your account through the purchase of your previous provider. However, we have not integrated anything into the Nextlink network as of yet, so your network, equipment, and plan are exactly the same as they were with your previous provider. I am not seeing any tickets opened on this account to date. Our acquisitions specialists would be happy to troubleshoot your issues with you. I am showing that you are subscribed to the 6x2 plan, which will be good for basic email and web browsing but will not support much beyond that. If you are interested in things like streaming and gaming, we recommend subscribing to a higher-speed plan. If you give our team a call, we can get you scheduled for a service call to upgrade your equipment and repoint you to a different tower that will enable these higher-speed plans.Thank you for taking the time to rate us!

      I have had so many issues with this business service. They keep telling me I need to up my price qnd get more service $210.00 for internet that does not function properly. The executive management never calls back. It's become theft now I am not getting what I pay for.
