      Date if application of auto loan 5/31/2025 I was asked to put in personal info, social security #and work history etc. Then I was asked yo verify my credit with an existing credit card and my card was immediately charged $1000 through a scam company *** verify. I am now concerned about my social security compromise and credit status

      Thanks for the complaint and information you provided with in. When you applied you ultimatly landed on our Thank You page with stated Your Application Has Been Received. Below this was an advertisement with the words "Advertisement" across the page. We did contact the advertiser for you and discovered that you were not charged for any services they provide. Through them, they advised us that they contacted you and let you know this at our request.  We hope this settles this issue for you.

      On May 24th I submitted info to MyAutoLoan.com whose advertising leads to believe that they will give you prequalified offers from a few lenders to review and THEN submit a full application to those lenders if you choose. Within 5 minutes of submitting my info to MyAutoLoan, I had a hard inquiry pop up from Regional Acceptance. I had not received an offer or any communication from them, nor have I still on any loan offer. I contacted both companies about this because I did not consent to a hard inquiry as I did not review any offer from Regional nor submit any follow up info for a full application. Regional told me to contact MyAutoLoan about it as they dont know where the info came from for them to pull my credit. ********** responded this - We do not do business with Regional Acceptance and never have. We have no contacts at Regional Acceptance. We did not forward your application to Regional Acceptance and we never provided Regional Acceptance with an authorization to pull your credit report. We recommend you get with Regional Acceptance for the hard credit report inquiry.MyAutoLoan was the only website I had sent info to and the inquiry came in within 5 minutes of doing so. Not sure whats going on here but I want the inquiry removed and both companies have been unhelpful and its seeming shady.

      Thanks for reaching out to the BBB on this issue you are having. Attached are 2 images 1) showing the approved pre-qualification you received from the lender we sent your application to and 2) your account history with ********************** showing we sent your application to. The only source to receive your application was OpenRoadLending and they offer you the pre-qualification approval. 

      As for ************************ ("RAC"), we do not do business with RAC and never have. We did not send your application information to RAC. There is nothing we can do to help you with this issue you have with RAC accept give you advice. 

      Advice: RAC is required to provide you with a source from where they received 1) your application data and 2) the authorization they used to obtain a hard credit inquiry. This is not something we can help you with. The credit reporting company reporting the hard inquiry,...you can on their web site dispute the hard inquiry, that credit reporting agency will send a required notice to *** in which they have 30 days to 1) remove the inquiry and or to provide the above information, source and authorization.

      My credit report shows a hard inquiry with Horizon Digital Finane on 12/23/2024. I have never done business with this company and did not apply for a loan or credit with this company. I called them to let them know that I think that this is Identity theft. They refused to talk with me. I want them to close any account that the person who stole my identity may have opened or cancel any application in progress.

      Thank for reaching out to us through the BBB. We received your email regarding fraud on Dec 28. We responded on Dec 28th as well, see attached email reply to you. When you notified us of the potential fraud we immediately flagged the account as fraud. This action archived the data and removed it from production. No actions have been taken to take out a loan. Regarding the credit pull, we never pull a hard inquiry. Only a soft inquiry, this did not effect your credit score in any way. We hope this resolves this matter for you.

      I need your assistance with this incorrect account showing up on my credit report. This issue has severely impacted my reputation, and Im asking for your help. We did a first and last name search, no customer exist in our data base with this name and address given. We did a phone number, email address and SSN search, no customer exist in our data base with this data.       Found this company online to see if I qualified for an auto loan. They advertise that they do a soft inquiry, but instead, they stole my information to give to other lenders who started processing loan applications on "my behalf". This lend to hard inquiries to my credit reports as well as spam calls and emails. I had to freeze my credit reports to stop any more inquires and had to spend time on the phone trying to get these inquiries removed from these lenders. Their website also takes you to another page after submitting all your information. The page states that they need to review your credit report and asks for your credit card information. In the fine print, it says that they charge $29.95/month. For what, I do not know. This company is a scam is only around to sell consumer information.

      First regarding the credit report soft vs hard inquiry.
      We clearly state on our Home page with visible content and in the Disclosure link on the Home page, as well as, when you applied, a consent and authorization check boxes to obtain your credit report; that there could be a soft and or hard inquiry from us and or our lending partners. We also clearly disclose that we are a lending marketplace utilizing participating lenders. Disclosure content as follows:

      Authorization is given to HDF, the Lenders, and Credit Sources to obtain my credit report in connection with this pre-qualification loan/finance offer request form, any credit application or transaction resulting from the form, and for reviewing any resulting account, taking collection action, or any other permissible purpose under the Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act. HDF acquires a "soft" credit inquiry, Lenders and Credit Sources may acquire "soft" or "hard" credit inquiry(s);

      Consumers must check a box to authorize this when applying or the application cannot be submitted. We have seen very few consumer issues regarding this, it always stems from a consumer not talking the time to read and understand what they are authorizing. We encourage all consumers to read and understand what they are authorizing.

      Second, your stated we and our lending or credit source partners spam call and email. We and our lending partners never spam and make excessive calls. Any calls were to contact you regarding the status of your application.

      Third, you are mentioning the Thank You for applying page, all consumers see this when submitting an application At the very top this page reads, Your application has been received. Below that is an advertisement labeled Advertisement. 

      From reviewing your account, we see that we have unsubscribed you from our service. In your case we only identified one Lender and that Lender utilizes a soft inquiry. Generally, if you have hard inquiries on your credit report you would have to contact the sources directly to have the inquiry disputed. The dispute resolution process is available for the credit reporting agencies.

      I am rejecting this response because: 

      Your response is a complete lie. As much stress as you have caused me, I am glad to have not done business with you. Instead of trying to resolve the issue, you blame and belittle the consumer instead and take no responsibility for your actions. My credit reports had hard pulls from more than one company and they bombarded me with spam calls and texts. The proof is on my credit reports and my call and text logs. This all happened after trying to use your services.

      As for the "advertisement", where on that page did it indicate that it was an advertisement? And even if it was an "advertisement", there was no indication what product or services were being offered. Why would you even allow this kind of "advertisement" on your website?

      I went on MyAutoLoan.com to see about a private party auto loan. Upon filling out the application, a new page showed, saying "To complete your application, go to transunion to get your credit score" implying that the application would not be completed without creating an account on Transunions website. Thats borderline scam material, and the people that created myautoloan.com are scumbags for that. I was charged a $32 fee in order to complete the auto loan application, which was completely unnecessary for the app, yet was unavoidable on the website. I hope whoever runs this site gets fired and has to start all over again. Pathetic excuse for business.

This page sub title said "Your application has been received". Then next section on the page was an advertisement with the words Advertisement written across the page. We will review this page to see if we can make the even more clear.  Here are instruction to cancel your subscription to the service mentioned, we can not do this for you. If you wish to cancel your subscription with a credit monitoring service that you signed up for on myAutoloan.com through one of our partners, here are the instructions for each offer.  These advertisements are optional features and not required as part of your loan offer request.  You will need to determine which offer you subscribed to.       I feel that this website is a classic bait and switch. I provided them with make, model, trim, and mileage on a vehicle. They also pull your credit. They then provide offers from their lenders. But their lenders arent lenders. They are just another loan auction house. And even though I provided them with the same information, my credit (FICO score of 803, so not like the issue is credit or income) they still couldnt match the offer that I accepted on this website. And when I emailed this website to complain? They said the offer isnt really an offer. Its just what the lender (again not a lender!! Just another auction house) is advertising currently. Everything on this website is a lie and misleading.

Launching in the spring of 2003, we are now 21 years in business. myAutoloan.com, through our lending partners, currently provide loans to consumers in 48 states. Currently we see roughly 25 thousand customer every month, thats 300 thousand per year. Maintaining a BBB A+ rating would be impossible if we were a bait and switch. Typically, we receive 6 BBB complaints per year.

      All of our participating lenders are Licensed Lenders and offer loans products in various states. When you applied with us, myAutoloan.com sources these lenders based on your specific credit profile. A credit score is one part of this credit profile, we use a soft pull. These lenders respond back to us with a prequalified loan offers. In your case there were 5 loan offers provided all with very competitive rates and terms for you to refinance your current vehicle. As we clearly state on our site, prequalified offers are subject to change based on the lenders viewing any additional information. Due to privacy laws and regulations, we are not made aware of their reasoning or rational for their lending decisions.

      I filled out a loan application online. At the end of the application, I was forwarded to a page that asked me to enter the credit card info that should be charged monthly, should i decide to move forward and purchase a car. I was then charged a $32 fee that appears to be from Transunion.This is a deceitful practice and i would like them to stop.

      Weve reached out to the customer and believe resolved the issue. At the end of our application form process we display an advertisement for credit monitoring services. The customer clicked through this advertisement and subscribed to the service for a fee. We worked with the customer and the service to cancel the subscription and then we sent the customer a full refund of the $32.00 as an online **** card.  We always review our processes and are in the process to be sure that issues like this do not occur.

      I have a credit sesame account and I saw you guys here on their site offering auto loans or refinancing loans for cars.I have a problem completing the online portion of the application it stalls out at the end of the process does not save it, as for next payment date, I just put the date that I knew that was supposed to be there and keeps on saying having issues with it and I cannot save it and does it repeatedly number of times still get the same issue.What is the problem with your online portion of the application for my auto loan?I have been trying to call you guys about this issue either your phone is down or I get a busy signal what's the problem?

      I had read and was under the assumption that ********** would not perform a hard inquiry on my credit score in order to recieve some pre-qualified rates just like Captial One Auto does. Well its somewhat true ********** wont check your credit, but all the lenders they sell your info to will. Multiple credit check inquiries within minutes of submitting a pre-approval form on **********. They DO NOT make this clear on their website. I am now commencing the process of disputing these hard inquiries. I am also bombarded with calls, emails, and text messages from all the lenders they passed my information to. I am notifying as many individuals as I come across to STAY AWAY.
