    We placed an order for an explosion proof flashlight on 11/3/24 for $795 with shipping of $36 for a total of $831.95, which Larson took as payment that day. After seven months, with NO communication from Larson regarding status of the shipment, an email was sent canceling the order and requesting a refund be issued. We noted this purchase was made with a company credit card and subject to audit and suddenly we get a response via email from Larson that the order was cancelled but not a word about a refund! A quick review of the negative responses Larson provides about customers complaints on this website should be a huge red flag to anyone considering doing business with this company. They are the worst. Too bad you cannot give a zero star because that is what they deserve.

    Like most review here there are issues with refunds and or replacements. I was led on for weeks in regards to an exchange, being told they were working on it and I would have a solution soon before finally being told to basically kick rocks. Find another vendor. If Larson Electronics was my last option, I would redesign the system just so I did not have to give them business.

    I bought from them several times before. They respond very quickly when im purchasing something but when i have an issue or need a refund they ignore me completely.I sent a shipping label and they wont refund the shipping i paid I purchase a control transformer and canceled 2 hours later to purchase a different model and did receive a refund of a different amount missing $150. Makes no sense there was nothing done with my order within 2 hour and I need a full refund

    This unit meets all specifications provided and includes additional features beyond your original request. If the unit can handle single-phase to three-phase conversion, it certainly supports single-phase to single-phase as well; it simply requires appropriate programming. You received exactly what you ordered, plus upgraded capabilities. The issue appears to be that you've found a less expensive alternative elsewhere. Per our clearly stated policy, which you acknowledged at the time of purchase, we typically do not accept returns on these products. However, we can offer a 50% restocking fee option if the unit is returned in perfect, resalable condition.

    Absolute worst company to ever deal with. We made the mistake of trying to order a random **** to only have the purchase drag out nearly a week until we finally canceled it. Once we confirmed the cancellation, we received an email that it was finally shipping the next day! Hours upon hours to get a simple response to our issue. Large Nationwide Electrical Distributor that will NEVER buy anything again from Larson!!

    Originally, the customer wanted to ship this *** red when placing the order on the afternoon of 5/6.  We informed them that this needed to go pallet.  While technically the weight of the unit falls within the *** limits, the density of the unit causes it to be damaged no matter how it is packed in the *** system.  The customer wanted to ship on their freight account.  However, there was one freight account in the email and another one on the *** This was hashed out on on 5/9.  The order kept getting put on hold each time there was confusion.   The unit went through QC and was packed on the 9th.  From the notes, it looks like then there was a change to the *** of the unit, which means pulling a different unit all together.  Then, the customer cancelled the order.  It did not ship.

    i ordered a 48-125VDC converter from these guys back in January 2025. the product never shipped and Larson eventually cancelled the order late April. when i ordered the component it was listed "IN STOCK". I purchased the component for the listed price of ~400$. I later realized the same component was listed on their website for ~3k$. I'm sure these guys realized they made a mistake and just didn't want to lose money, which i completely understand. with that being said, i would have hoped for a transparent conversation between them and myself which I'm quite confident we could have come to a beneficial solution for all parties. I would not recommend doing business with these guys. if you're looking for a converter just go to Acopian.

    This business has a complete lack of morals. Ordered an outlet and it didnt work when I received it. They refused to refund me. I reluctantly ordered a plug I needed and things got worse. They charged me that day, took 2.5 weeks to ship, sent the wrong part, then failed to take any responsibility.. Now they wont answer the phone. Seems like theyre refusing another return. Ill be filing a civil claim. Please dont do business with this company if you can find an alternative. Ive never experienced anything like it. Its truly unbelievable.

    These folks are in the *** extraction business and clearly use their product, thus the highly emotional, paranoid, unhinged behavior.  We fielded over 20 calls from this character on Friday, where they called everyone they talked to every filthy name they could think of while screaming and cursing.   On ******, they order a 250V 2p xp plug and that is what we sent, as shown in the picture this customer sent us.   He literally took a picture showing the label, showing that is 250v and 20 amp and explosion proof, verifying we sent what they ordered.  If they want to buy something else, they need to define what is needed.  No one, including us, takes back explosion proof products.  If the customer makes any changes to the product and that product ends up with another customer, creating an explosion, that is a significant liability and problem.
    On ******, which shipped about a year ago, we asked repeatedly for pictures or videos of "insides falling apart" and received nothing.  These products were tested prior to shipping and worked normally.  They are built for harsh environments and do not "fall apart".  We assume the customer did not understand that they connections only pass the power when the plug is rotated into a locking position in the xp mating outlet.  So, they attempted some "adjustments" to make it work. Can't say for sure because we received no pictures or videos, but this has happened before in this industry.  In the oil/gas space, electricians are trained on installing specialized equipment.  That does not seem to be the case in the *** extraction industry.

    The electrician I was working with suggested a product from Larson. The product cost almost $2,000 and I reluctantly purchased the transformer. This product did not work as described and Larson would not take it back or return my money. I would highly advise against doing business with them.

    ****. The item does work exactly as described. See the video link attached. We have over ****** positive reviews, and we do over ****** transactions each year. The customer told us, "My electrician recommended I buy a transformer. We installed it, and it turned out it was another issue. Can I return this?" And we said no because we don't take back transformers. To install them, you must punch holes in the housing, alter the wiring, etc. The policy, the quote, etc., is posted on the site. He did not like this answer, so he went to the BBB to tell lies.

    The ***-6 worked great... The 200 lb magnet is perfect for this light. I had it mounted on the shield the entire time and not once did I feel that rough road conditions would jar it loose. After using the HML-6 on the road, I will definitely push for our company to order at least one if not two for each of our trucks.

    The ***-6, it is still working outstanding.... We just got back from another long mission and have no problems to report. I have been using the HML-6 effectively during daylight hours as well as night. I have the center of the beam concentrated on the 3rd line in the road behind our gun truck this particular spot on open highway keeps vehicles at a distance of approximate 1 mile. Thanks again...

    Described what i needed, they recommended a boost transformer. It doesn't work, they tell me I ordered the wrong thing, and want me to buy another one. Their service *****. They don't respond or refund. I'm stuck with a item that doesn't solve the problem I have. Expecting the buyer to know the particulars of what transformer is required is ridiculous.

    The customer chose the part number himself ***************************************. After receiving the unit, he reached out to provide information about his shore power. We requested voltage readings and additional details. Based on his information, it appears he has 3-phase power but purchased a single-phase unit. We then provided a quote for a custom-built 3-phase unit that would suit his needs and include the necessary connectors for that ******* we noted, we do not accept returns on transformers for various reasons. Primarily, they often come back damaged and cannot be resold as new. It seems we spent time gathering information and creating a tailored solution for him, yet he did not purchase the recommended unit. If he had shared this information before making his purchase, the process would have gone much more smoothly. Customers frequently make their own selections, and we don't typically review each order to question their choices. When customers provide application data, we prepare a quote based on that information. If they opt for a product on their own, we ship exactly what they selected.We design, build, and ship more than 400 transformer-related solutions each week. With over ****** transactions annually and nearly ****** positive reviews online, custom transformers are a regular part of our business.
