Called me for ten years wanting me to contribute more money for my policy. Couldnt understand why, I wasnt getting any extra life insurance. Finally called to cancel, the employee was supposed to email a cancellation form, never got it. They stopped the bank withdraw but kept billing me, called to cancel again about a month later because I was still getting billed. Employee said theyre going to send out forms. Forms finally arrive, send them in. Its been about 3 weeks, receive another bill. So now they are garnishing the cash value to make the payments after Ive sent the forms in. Im sure if I have to speak to them again theyre going to tell me they never received them. Im curious to see once the cash value runs out they finally receive the cancellation forms.Customer Answer

Company has called and called and called for ten years. Finally decided to cancel because of the constant harassment. Got around to calling the company, kept me on hold for 40m at least and the employee said they would email proper form to cancel. Never received. They quit the bank withdraw, but keep sending me a bill. Called again around a month later, employee says theyll mail the proper form. Forms finally arrive, send them in, its been three weeks. Still sending bills. Now garnishing the cash value to pay for it after Ive called twice. Based on these complaints this is the game they play to bleed you of all the pennys they can. Not sure how they have an A+ rating. This company is terrible.

We would like to thank *** ***** for allowing us to respond. Our records show that *** and Mrs. ***** called our office on February 11, 2025 and February 12, 2025 to request the cancellation of their policies and were transferred to the correct department to handle their request. The policy numbers provided by the customers were removed from automatic bank draft to prevent their account from being drafted while in the cancellation process and a cancellation form was sent to the email address on file to be completed,signed and returned to our office.
Please note that the policy numbers provided were for the life coverage, since the accident only policy number was not requested to be cancelled it remained drafting as normal. On April 9, 2025 Mrs. ***** called our office and requested the cancellation of the accident policy.
The signed forms were not received and the automatic premium loan provision of the life policies was activated to prevent the policies from lapsing. This created a loan against the available cash value of each policy. We have since received the signed cancellation forms from *** and Mrs. ***** and in order to resolve this matter we have reversed the automatic premium loans that occurred after their initial request on February 11, 2025 and cancelled the life policies for their full cash surrender value. In addition, the accident policy has also been cancelled as of February 11, 2025 and premiums drafted after that date have been refunded to the customers.

Sept. 17, 2024, I mailed a cancellation form to American Income Life Insurance Company to cancel three insurance policies. Premiums were still being deducted from my checking account as of my ************* statement.Dec 20, spoke to a lady in customer service. She stated that she could see the cancellation form on the account dated September 17, 2024, and received on September 26, 2024. She said she could not understand why the policies had not been cancelled being that a cancellation notice was on file since September. She said she would send me new cancellation forms. Jan. 7, 2025, spoke to a customer service **** to find out why premiums were again deducted from my checking account in December for the policies that were supposed to be cancelled. She argued with me that a deduction was not made in December. I provided them with a copy of my ********* statement to prove that they had.Jan. 8, filed a stop payment order with my bank so that no further deductions could be made for the policies that were supposed to be cancelled. This cost me $35. I started receiving correspondence saying the cash value of the policies, that were supposed to be cancelled, was being taken to pay for the policies to keep them active.March 5, I spoke to ******. I She said I would be reimbursed for all the premiums that had been deducted as of September 2024 as well as the cash value of the policies as of September. This is just a portion of the contact I have had with American Income Life. The last contact I had with them was March 31. At that time, I was told that a check would be released the week of March 31. As of today, April 19, I have not received or heard anything from American Life Ins.Business Response

We would like to thank ******** ***** for reaching out to our office regarding this matter. On policy ********, the automatic premium loans were reversed and the cash value of the policy was $227.40. We had previously refunded the cash value of $158.46. Therefore, a check in the amount of $68.94 reflecting the difference will be issued. Policy ******** has been cancelled and surrendered and the automatic premium loans have been reversed. The surrender amount of the policy is $268.47 and a check will be issued to the owner of the policy. Please allow 7-10 business days for the checks to be issued.

I talked to them 2 years ago after reviewing my account that I do not want to be called. They kept on calling me every week and I feel harassed. I want them to stop calling me and only contact me via mail or email ONLY if there's emergency. First of all, this company borders on the edge of harassment when trying to set up a review of your policy. Im talking 4-5 phone calls daily, one right after the other. We got tired of it so my husband called to cancel our life insurance policies. The lady emailed him the forms, which we immediately filled out and faxed back the next day. The next month came around and we were again charged our premium. I called and was told they had received the forms but since I didnt call in myself, my policy wasnt cancelled. The lady blamed it on my husband for not telling me to call myself despite the lady my husband spoke to told him to just fill out paperwork and send back for both, no mention of a phone call needed. Irregardless my husband had called to cancel and they still charged him for another month of premiums. I was told they would refund his premium but not mine since I didnt ********* month rolls around we are still waiting to get our cash surrender value sent to us. I called again and was told they saw we had cancelled but werent sure why it hadnt been processed. I was told she would email her boss and we would get our money within 3 business days but to call back on Friday that week to ensure it had been taken care of. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and called the next week when we still hadnt received our money and refund. I was told they saw where I called but it was still processing. This process has taken over 2.5 months since starting and we still havent received our money. We were going to keep our accidental and cancer policies with the company but because of these business practices I have sent in cancellation for those as well.Business Response

Check #****** was issued on April 27th,2025, in the amount of $452.49 reflecting the available cash value of the policy. The check has not cleared our account to date.

I am rejecting this response because:
We have not received a check for any of the amounts listed in the response. Also we were told we would be refunded for the April premium that was withdrawn from our account in March, as there was record of ******* calling and verbally cancelling the policy in February. We had faxed in all requested paperwork in February as well but were told the company never received it but they would refund our March withdrawal.Business Response

In honoring the February 17th, 2025, request for cancellation, the surrender cash value of the policy changed. After reversing out the March payment and re-surrendering the policy, our office over paid the insured by $12.90 in cash value. Therefore this amount was deducted from the refunded March premium and $78.50 will be deposited via ACH deposit to the bank account on file in the next 2-3 business days. In early March I cashed out one of my polices with this company so I could pay for a French Drain in my yar because it floods. I was told after they received my papers and voided check I would get my money in 15 ******* is now the end of April and all I get is excuses. It's in the mail, it's at your bank, it takes three to five days. When I ask to talk with someone in charge they can't find anyone .I am at my wits end. I had to borrow the money to pay the workers. My father opened a policy through this business on me a little under 20 years ago Id say. My dad canceled this policy on me when I opened up my own when I was about 21. He passed away a year and a half ago and we finally got the papers to close his bank account in the last week. *** has been taking money out for the last year and a half despite saying all accounts are closed and no one has been able to have find out what policy theyve been taking money out for. Hopefully the bank can help figure out how to get this money back thats supposed to be reimbursement for his funeral and burial costs.Business Response

Make my payments to this company monthly. ****** to pay 3 sets of my bills marked on my check. all accounts they claim I missed ******** for two months. Tried to contact them by phone they keep telling me they will send email and put in notes. No progress still even called them over and over. After reviewing our records, it appears that payments were being misapplied to the policy. ******************************* adjusted the payments to reflect all policies are paid to May 2025. ******************************* reached out to the insured and spoke to Mr. ******** wife, *****, and explained the error and that it had been amended to reflect payment to May 2025. *** *** also informed Ms. ****** to write each policy number on a piece of paper when submitting the monthly payments so that our office applies each payment correctly each month. She was also informed that the **************** ***resentative would send an email with the policies listed and the amounts due on each.

About 1 month ago we received a call from AMERICAN INCOME LIFE we told them we wasnt interested, well on April 22 2025 we got a call from ***** **********, he said he was calling on behalf of the ************************ said he has a benifit plan for us i told him not to call back and he said he was going to call back even after i ask him not to call. Well today on April ******* i talk to the ******************************* and they told me the no longer had a contract with them and they shouldn't be calling. Well today the same gentleman called back and he was very persistent i told him o talked to the ************ and he immediately said ill transfer you to a manger well a 3:40 pm a ******* ******* identity his as a manger and i explained what happened and AMERICAN Income Life no longer has a contract with them, and we felt like we was being harassed and the calls need to stop, he said he would look into it i told him the calls needed to stop and i was going to report it to the BBB his reply was yoi will be just waisting your time, Very pushy people wont hardly let a person say anything,Business Response
