**************** is absolutely horrendous. I inherited a life insurance plan from a relative which I had no use for, so I called the customer service phone number on 01/31/23. Explained the situation, verified my identity, and the rep. said it wouldn't be a problem, she'd take care of it right away and that I would be receiving an email confirmation. I never received an email per our conversation, and called to follow up on 02/08/23, to find out that none of what the previous rep had said was true, the plan was NOT cancelled, and that they had no record of that conversation ( recorded phone lines btw) and that it was not possible to do such a thing over the phone, and that I had to write out a cancellation statement with all my personal info and policy number, and email that to them. When asked to speak to a managing body within the department (I believe the rep said her name was *****) refused to get on the phone to speak to me, and relayed a message through a non management employee. SUPER unprofessional, they don't stand behind what they say on recorded lines, and getting a response from customer service is atrocious. NEVER IN MY LIFE would I recommend this company to ANYONE, just solely off the way they handle a simple cancellation of policy. I am a life insurance agent in ******, and a consumer for a policy for my daughter. My mom purchased the policy years ago and I maintained the policy after her passing. So I decided to surrender my daughters policy for a better one.First I emailed the **************** back in Aug 2022. Got a response 2 days later stating, since you are not the owner of the policy, we cannot give you any info. (I am the payor) So I got a form to change ownership to me. I called a couple weeks later to see if they received form, and they did, and allowed me to get some information. So they sent me a surrender letter form to sign and return so I could cash out my policy. Mailed form on 10/1. I followed up Oct 20 to E-Service by email to see when I will get a check. Received response Oct 22. They told me they never received the surrender form. So they sent me another one by email. I signed the new one, and made a copy of the original surrender letter. Returned them both by email, and certified ** mail. Now they said they received forms, and will process so I can get a check. Emailed them again, Oct 24 asking when will I get a check. Rec'd response Oct 26 stating, paperwork in process. Emailed again Nov 2, Rec'd Response Nov 4th "your check was mailed today". So here two weeks has passed. So I called on Nov 16th. and stated that I didn't receive my check. The cust. serv. person stated it was mailed on Nov 14th. I was livid. So I told her, you know, I have been dealing with you people for the last 4 months, and you have the worst customer service experience. I don't know whose coaching you what to say to customers, But I caught you guys in a STRAIGHT UP LIE. How do I know you guys are telling me the truth now. As insurance agent/agency, you should be a person(s) who is fiduciary and someone we can trust. You cant just say what you want and think people will go away. It's UNLAWFUL, and feels like a SCAM! We made our payment of *****, but ****** was taken out of our account. They required ** to send proof of payment, which we did from both our bank and the bill pay service. They acknowledged that they received this payment but said we had to send the bank statement (that had not dropped yet, anyone who has a bank account knows that is a monthly statement) or they were holding the funds for *************************************** this day of electronic payments. They received their payment overnight they should be able to refund it that way.Globe Life and Accident Insurance Company

My friend tried getting their insurance. He had no medical exam as they said. But when it went to underwriting, he was denied. There was no explanation as to why. When he signed on with another company, he found out he was high risk. According to their ads, they accept anyone, regardless of the person's risk. He may be paying a higher rate, but at least he knows he's covered and doesn't have a waiting period. After seeing these reviews, it's a good thing he got denied.Globe Life and Accident Insurance Company

They always saying you didn't pay and you have receipts that you did something is not right with this company they took my payment out twice and told me to contact somewhere to get a refund and send my checking account as proof what I'm quite sure you have it right there because you just said I was paid up till November and it's September duh they canceled my other policies saying I was 3 Months behind but I paid in July and you said it was up til April it's something not right at this place someone double dipping Forreal!Globe Life and Accident Insurance Company

I am so tired of receiving mail and phone calls from Globe life. I receive at least 3 pieces of mail from them every week, sometimes 2 a day for relatives, children, partners, grandchildren. I have called, asked to be on their no contact list and nothing works. It is harassment at this point. I had used them for insurance for 21 years, then cancelled policy and they will not left me alone. The mail is a waste of paper, that I don't know what to do now. I was told by a complaint board on the web about globe life and their mail practices to rip everything they send me and send it back in their postage paid envelope and for some people that worked. So they are paying the postage for their junk mail-which is what is. Doing everything they say to do to get off their list of phone calls and mail and still have it coming is a bad business practice. If they do not stop I will start returning their mail with everything ripped up and stating take me off your list, which to me is just petty but if that is what it takes I will do it. I would prefer they just do it themselves. I was told(by their CS dept. it takes 90 days for this to take effect but it has not stopped it. ***** *******Globe Life and Accident Insurance Company

Not only has mail not stopped, but way back when I applied for 20,000 of life insurance for myself online. I was sent a 5,000 policy instead at almost 3x's the given quote. I called immediately said this was not acceptable and I would not be taking the policy or sending money. Obviously that phone call was ignored as they keep sending bills, I did not give any payment information when I applied, nor sent any money. But yet Globe life keeps sending payments due and today sent a letter saying the policy is in some extending thing with an account number. I tried calling again but was on hold. I never paid on this or accepted the policy, nor do I want a policy with globe life. Your customer service agent don't seem to undertand no. Had someone called and said hey, we can't give you 20,000 how about 5,000 at this amount-I would have said no thanks and hung up. INstead they do what they want to do and expect me to pay. I have thrown everything out and will not call again as it's a waste of my time. So quit sending things regarding a policy I never asked for. YOU SENT A POLICY YOU THINK I DESERVED-I CALL SAY NO THANKS AND I DONT WANT ANYTHING ELSE FROM YOUBUT YOU KEEP SENDING STUFF. I AM ABOUT TO BLOW A GASKET. YOUR HORRIBLE REPORTS ON BBB SAY ENOUGH ABOUT YOUR COMPANY. QUIT SENDING ME STUFF-I DID WHAT YOU TOLD ME TO DO TO GET OFF THE MAILING LIST AS I AM TIRED OF MAILBOX FILLED WITH GLOBE LIFE MAIL. I have been trying all day to pay my granddaughters policies and I have yet to get someone who can help me with this, because when I tried to pay on line I couldn't even do that..saying I'm disappointed is being kind. i have tried to receive information on a policy numerous times, by phone and by by e-mail. each time i get a representative they disconnect before business is done and they never call back. never answer the e-mails. i have tried since 2 yrs ago.I ask them to call back if we get disconnected but they never do. i need this info for government request- social services. very frustrating!!!!Globe Life and Accident Insurance Company
