In August, The Processing Depot used a cold call technique called slamming to **** a nonprofit for which I volunteer into purchasing machines we did not need and signing a contract that deprives us of any rights, other than the right to use the equipment we are renting. This company gave us the impression that they were our current processing company, told that we were paying high rates, and told us that we were paying a $250 penalty for using outdated equipment, none of which were true. They badgered us with phone calls and rushed us into signing a leasing contract that was not the least bit favorable to the non for profit for which I work. Moreover, The Processing Depot sent us a leasing contract through *****. Azura rides the coattails of The Processing Depot by offering a contract that is patently unfair. The contract is packaged with a rate schedule and states that it cannot be canceled, payment is fully guaranteed, and no service of any kind is expected. Its all lessee beware, and Azura is not at fault in any manner. Additionally, Azuras rental rates are well beyond the cost of the equipment. Depending on what you get, a new clover station will cost you anywhere from $1,500-$2,000. When we fulfill our Azura contract, we will have paid $200 for 48 months, or $9,600 for the equipment. The Processing Depot sent us this contract. This is what my nonprofit gets for trying to save money. My 'business' is actually a nonprofit that I volunteer for. We run a small lounge in order to donate to our community. From our modest profits, we support a wide array of causes to include student scholarships, the indigent, and many veterans causes. Business practices by companies such as The Processing Depot and Azura only serve to take away from these deserving and needy groups. With business partners such as these, one does not need enemies.

This business misrepresents itself as a third-party organization hired to monitor the credit card processing industry and working in the best interest of the business it contacts. In actuality, they are just another credit-card processing company trying to poach business from another company. The owners of this company should be ashamed that they have their employees act in such a manner. A restructure their business practice is needed.Honesty is always the best policy.
