10/7 Falsely identified themselves as QuickBooks/Intuit employees on the onset of contact and several times thereafter (including after I was informed they were in fact *not. Found out by calling **'s main number, email to QB, research, your website and QB scam report). I operated under the deceptively falsly information when I granted remote access to our 3 computers that contained confidential & private data. Remote access would never have been granted had it been accurately represented that they did not work for QB or Intuit. They can't prove there even was a corrupt file requiring immediate repair and it wasn't a ploy to force me to spend money right away, taking advantage of a deadline I had forcing me to pay over $3,000. While having remote access, they asked us to leave them working. I have no idea if any malware, other files, or they took any private information without my knowledge. Consumers should be able rely on the experts for help. It is clearly deception and fraud to hold yourself out to be employees of the reputable company that made the program you need assistance with. A certain level of trust is established when the consumer knows they are speaking directly to the tech team for the actual company (i.e., QB/******). To hold yourself out to be working for them is deceptive trade practice in which they knowingly made false representations as to their affiliation in order to convince me to gain remote access and convince me I needed to spend over $3,000 to repair it and do the actual work I needed. Note I was forced to send an email 10/08/24. The alleged "technician" with remote access he entered their email address, subject and body of the email. He would not let me alter it. Then we find work was still not done.I asked them for proof 4 times that I can confirm the claim they are employed by QuickBooks, I emailed as well. I got calls. I got nothing. Last call they asked if I would drop my complaint. I said send proof you work for **. NOTHING
