      They give you two weeks to pay your bill and if you are late for a day - all h*** breaks loose...Once you are late with a payment even for a day, they will put a $10 late fee on you and send you a letter in the middle of the billing cycle and if you dont pay their $10 late charge immediately, they will put another $10 late charge, and then send you an intent to disconnect letter for which they will charge another $10. This is ridiculous and on a boarder with harassment. I will disconnect from them as soon as my contract is over!

      Stream is the worst energy company Ive ever dealt with. I will never ever use them again. I call in to make a payment. The customer representative took the wrong amount. . It was noted on the log that she made an mistake. They said that the payment would be refunded and correct amount would be posted. I called every day and spoke with different rep. I got lies every day like no one knew what was going on. So eventually I talked to a supervisor who said I should be receiving my refund in 3-5 days. Ok. Called back on 5th day and couldnt tell me anything. Called on 6th day it will be today. Called on 7th day. Supervisor said they cant do refund and I need to contact my institution. I could have done that from day one. But they said they will fix it. Now my rent is due and its not covered. They offer me 24 dollars credit. But my late rent cost me ******. Then they made me feel like it was my fault that their agent screwed up. I was lied to every day. Please do not use stream.

      Horrible customer service. Unable to be directed to a supervisor via email or phone. Messed up my service location then blamed it on me although I have never even heard of the city they entered. After weeks of arguing they “waived” fees for reconnection to correct address but still charged me. Looking back on it I should’ve went with the more expensive, popular gas provider as it would’ve costed less than this headache.

      Complete scam. Our is more than double what the normal charge. When cancelling, they tell you it may take two billing cycles. CANCEL YOUR SERVICE WITH THEM IMMEDIATELY.

      A Quality Specialist attempted to contact the customer via phone, but was only able to leave a voicemail. The Specialist then sent an email requesting a call back. The customer responded and at this time they have indicated that they do not want any further contact from XOOM Energy. In addition to higher usage, the customer failed to respond to the renewal notices which caused the account to default to the variable, month-to-month plan. The month-to-month plan can be cancelled at any time without penalty.

      Highly do not recommend. I completely forgot to pay my bill for 81 dollars last month and they shut my gas off without a call. I didn't even realize I had forgot. Clearly I had the money and was able to pay last and this month. I was told they couldn't come back until the next day causing me and my kids to not be able to cook, shower or have heat when it's in the 30s. I was undecided on switching since it was great the past 5 years but this helped my decision. Perfect timing since my contract is up.

      Dealing with Stream - in the very beginning - was a dream! After several years and reduced bills, our rep left the company with no notice and our contract was up. We had cancelled Stream mainly because we had solar panels installed. Our monthly bill with the panels working was about $8.00 per month! After a few months we receive a crazy, insane RIDICULOUS bill for $586.49 of which Stream claims $420.81 is owed to them. The previous monthly bill was higher than usual probably because of reduced sunlight but was only $79.58! Now we are facing this outrageous bill and call Stream to find out why. My wife spent over an hour on the phone dealing with multiple incompetent idiots (not speaking clear English) that repeat themselves over and over again saying that they have no cancellation order for our account. Our ********************** with Stream was supposed to be cancelled months ago and they have no record of it. Trying to reason with them, speaking with a "supervisor" and having difficulty understanding her due to her accent, she repeatedly kept saying that the only cancellation they have on record is from today - speaking with the first idiot. We tried to again reason with them using our billing history as an example. Obviously Stream made an error, won't admit it, refusing to go back and adjust our bill and now we are ready to launch with an attorney, the BBB and maybe the *** lodging formal complaints. Stream seems to be staffed with the most incompetent, non-********* and I will publicly share our story with all that are interested. Very shady company and useless to call and try to resolve anything. I reluctantly give a one star rating - the company is not worthy of any stars and maybe even negative ratings! Buyers Beware!!!

      I feel like they are a scam. When i first signed up in 2020 my bills would be around 2-300$ now I'm getting bills for 600-900$ as of last year its ridiculous and nothing in my household has changed it should be less because nobody is home during the day. It makes no sense I want to switch but being new here I know of no other companies. Very disappointed and very very unhappy with the service. Didn't even want to give them one star

      I have had stream for at least 15 years. I have looked around every time my contract is up, but have not found any better pricing. Even the people in ***'s club and ******* have tried, they always want you to get your bill on your phone where they can prove they have the lowest price, but the closest they ever got was the same price I pay now. I have never had a bit of trouble with stream and will keep using until I do. I hope it is another 15 years!

      Horrible customer **********************. They will do bill "adjustments" and say it is a centerpoint issue, or they dont have access to the meter etc. They expect you to pay the full balance without a valid explanation and offer payment plans. DO NOT use stream energy.

      Stream energy from March of 2022 through August 2022 has been estimating usage billing on over 2/3 of its customer base. According to the ********************** ************************* and Texas Law Stream can ONLY estimate 3 bills and can only reassess usage from NO MORE THAN 150 days. The continually attempt to defraud their customer base based on these losses they incurred from Texas-********** Power who was responsible for reading the meters. Texas-********** Power did "Knowingly" install 3G meters in an area that 3G was scheduled for disconnection, then instead of hiring meter readers estimated usage for over 4 months in directly violation of Texas Regulatory Law and then billed Stream for that usage who then are attempting to recoup the cost at the expense of their users. It is not the end users responsibility to make up for poor business practices or decisions. The reason they have such a low user experience rate is a direct result of their customer ********************** and unwillingness to take responsibility for their mistakes.
