      I've resisted writing this for over 2 years, but my experience w/ SSFCU has become unbearable. I've had a HELOC with them, and chose to refinance this summer. Never mind that the process took nearly 3 months, simply due to poor internal communication and processes. Then, after closing the refi, I find out that the old account was not paid off due to it not being fully paid off....mind you, a payoff that the internal SSFCU team provided itself to refi the loan. They're wanting to charge me interest fees for an account that they screwed up the payoff for, then failed to notify me of it not being closed. TERRIBLE communication. UNRESPONSIVE customer **********************. I've called multiple agents, and hear one outcome, then the next call I hear another....and it goes on. Still unresolved...and even more frustrated.

      Awful experience! I have been trying to make a payment for 2 months now. Their online banking service will not take my payment and their customer ********************** it terrible and also had not been able to apply my payment. After days and more than a total of 6 hours on the phone waisted on just being transferred from agent to agent, they told me to send in a check. Then they reported me to the credit bureau for being late on my payment. Stay away from this bank. They will ruin your credit with their inability to run their business and take payments. They have no one to contact that will actually care to take responsibility and help.

      SSFCU supports online scammers more than its customers! Im a 20+ yr member and Ive put up with their lousy customer support, glitchy apps, lack of shared branches and ATMs, their ridiculously difficult to claim credit card rewards, etc,. for the last time! I was scammed by an online purchase, I provided detailed screenshots of the website along with screenshots of online customer complaints that only appeared after the website was taken down. No support from SSFCU?? I will now begin the painful process of changing all my automatic deposits to checking/savings and notifying all my creditors to change my auto bill payments to a new bank.

      SSFCU is not concerned with following federal regulations. According to the Federal Reserve, it more than 50% of a note or bill is present it is legal tender. Their policy is 75%. They wouldn't accept my money.

      Do not bank with them. They'll take your money, blame you for it, and then kick you out while still blaming you for their own faults.

      This credit union is the worst. I have been banking with this bank for over 15 years. I have had issues continuously going into the negative but have NEVER allowed the balance to go past 30 days. They are punishing me by holding my payrol check that I deposit every month for the past 8.5 years! I feel I am being targeted at this point. I have done nothing wrong and have been loyal to them for many years. I have followed all of their rules and membership restrictions. I've never been rude or have acted entitled. I work hard for my money but have struggled beyond measure for the last few years. The branch manager on ************, *********, pretty much smirks and laughs in my face with how upset I am and frustrated. Your bank is supposed to help their CUSTOMERS. They have poor customer ********************** have never offered to help me get out of debt or the situation I am in. I have a 750 credit score with amazing credit history. Yet, all they see is I am red flagged in their system due to overdraft reasons and deserve to be treated less than and put to the back burner. I get paid on the last business day of the month. I have recurring bills that come out the 1st of the month. Which in part is a huge reason why I can't catch up. I highly do not recommend this bank for any of your banking needs. I recommend ENT Crefit Union or SunWest Credit Union. They treat their customers with respect and dignity! And have amazing programs that can help their customers rather than keep them down.

      My son and I went in to the bank. He just received his ** ID today. We have the paper form, we get to the bank and are all ready to open and account for him and we were denied. I myself have been a customer for over 10 years and have several accounts with them to include vehicle and loans not just banking accounts. Well they turned us away because according to the blonde hair lady at the ******* location his paper ID isnt sufficient. She said we needed a passport as well. Now I have opened several accounts with my children before and they used paper iDs because they are legal. The *** recognizes them so I dont understand why the bank wont. She proceeded to ask for a passport or some other form of photo government issued ID, we explained he just got his ID not even 20 minutes prior to arriving at the bank. I even used my ** DL to do a joint account and she refused that as well. I asked if a social security card or school ID would suffice for my son she denied both. Im completely perplexed at this point because like I stated I have opened several accounts with my other children. I feel like she discriminated against us because she was looking at us up and down as well like we didnt belong then come to find out she didnt even want to help us. I even stated I had several accounts there and she continued to deny my request. I find this behavior rude and condescending. So now we have to wait until the actual card comes in which is a complete replica of what my son currently has. I find this interesting and rude behavior. Im extremely upset and humiliated by her. She should know better. Thank you

      Worst Bank I have ever had. Just wanted to close my accounts. Kept saying I had a finance charge after right paid off all my accounts.

      *** had several accounts for about twenty five years at SSFCU. SSFCU has always accommodated me with car loans, personal loans, credit card/debit card fraud issues. The were extremely helpful, friendly, and professional. I would recommend SSFCU to anyone who desires to do business with a company that has employees who are so accommodating with excellent customer skills. Especially ******************************* she's a credit to SSFCU you need more employees like her promote her immediately, Thank you ******* for a job will done.
