In the past year I have purchased hundreds of dollars worth of Beef, Chicken, and Fish from HEB at rapidly increasing prices. My complaint is not the prices, rather a concern of the quality of the meat.In multiple instances my whole family has received food poisoning from HEB meat products.I have complained to multiple managers, and even brought back meat that had gone bad prior to getting it home from the store. The most recent incident was on December 3rd, I bought an "Ahi Tuna Steak" from their fish area. Literally as I unwrapped it to cook at home it stunk my whole kitchen up with a foul odor, this is not the first time.This has happened nearly every time I have purchased meat at HEB.I have begun going strictly to a butcher for all meat products, however, for convivence, occasionally we still attempt to buy meat at HEB with no success. As for "desired resolution, I have missed countless days of work due to food poisoning, have had to pull my daughter from school due to food poisoning, lost hundreds of dollars spent, and though it has had a financial impact and health impact on my family, I would be happy with just some accountability.When speaking *****, manager of the meat department of the Sawdust location, he admitted they have had an issue and it may be an issue with their supplier or it may be going bad at the ware house. So if HEB is aware they have an issue, stop selling food that's gone bad to your customers!Initial Complaint

On December 3rd I went to HEB located at ************* ** (kuykendalh rd *****) to get some ballons inflated with helium for my sons birthday. I had a bouquet of 4 medium ballons and one large pickachoo (Pokmon) ballon. The employee blowing up the ballons popped in one of the ballons, so I told her that I would buy the rest of them without that one. Upon walking out of the store a other balloon popped up. I return to ask her what was happening, since this balloons were just blowed up I thought they would be able to help me. They were very rude, including the manager and told me that if I wanted a replacement I would had to pay for it. I cant believe this is the customer service ******************** provides for their clients. They charge an outrageous price for blowing up balloons and no support when needed. I was charged $12 for the 3 medium balloons ($4 each) and incredibly they charged me $15.00 for the pickachoo one (just for the helium nor including the ballon). I bought a can of HCF mixed fruit cocktail. As I was eating this fruit, I chocked on a large stem of sorts. I contacted the store, emailed the complaint department of heb and have yet to even receive an apology. It should be marked on the cans about Large stringy stems being included in the can with the fruit as a checking hazard.Initial Complaint

On September 3,2022 I went to the bank and tried to withdraw money from my account to pay a bill and I did not have enough money in my account. I logged into the account to see that someone had charged my account $312.27 to this company. As i have tried to reach out to them on several occasions they are not will to help correct the issue. I am on a fixed income and every ***** I receive into my home counts. I have also filed this with the bank as well.Initial Complaint

I went to HEB and spent over 600 dollars I tried to take items back the following day and I was told I had to wait for the check to clear so I waited and returned to the store and told them the check cleared I was told I had to wait for other checks from different shopping trips to clear that had nothing to do with the transaction and that I was inquiring about. I have spent a lot of money at the store in ********** ***** and never refunded anything. I had multiple different reasons I could not return my items I ask to speak to the manager that is responsible for not letting me return the items and she is never available can you please help me understand why this is happening.Initial Complaint

I had used HEB curbside service on ***** & returned 2 items at the store on West ********************************* they gave me a hard time to get my money back claiming I didn't have a receipt but had the receipt clearly on my phone which I showed them! Finally they said it would get refunded back on my card in 3-5 buidness days. Time had passed & still nothing! I spoke with ****** on ***** & she said it finally got APPROVED but that's funny because they've had the items back at the store since the 6th! Finally we are here ***** & still nothing! I spoke to ****** again from the **************************** said she didn't know what happened but I could clearly tell she was laughing in her tone of voice, which then made me more suspicious because she claimed she remembered me! So therefore that tells me this was done on purpose me not receiving my refund! Now I'm wondering who can I call because I feel like HEB stole from me! We placed an online order on 19 July 2022 and picked up the order on the 20th of July. We noticed we did not receive the entire order and called on 21 July 2022. We have called every week since and still have not received the refund for the items we did not receive. We have been promised each time we call that the refund will be issued. We calculated the refund needs to be $62.00 and get a different amount every time we discuss this matter with customer service. ******** services amount is always close to the $62.00.Initial Complaint

This is complain is in regard to a product I purchased at the H-E-B located at ******************************************************. The product in question is a money order purchased at the previously referenced store. On September 20, 2022 knowing that I did not need to use the money order I decided to go to the H-E-B store located at ************** , this because I live nearby and I dont have a car to go to the H-E-B store where I purchased the money order. When I approached the **************** desk I explained to the lady clerk that I needed to cash the money order, she asked if I had the Money Order Receipt or the actual receipt of the purchase I told her I did not because I did not think It was necessary to present the items she requested to cash a money order bearing the H-E-B logo on it just the money order with my name on the space assigned to the line denoting pay to the order of I even showed her my drivers license even though it was not a requirement nor she asked for it. She said that the money order bearing the H-E-B logo can only be cashed at the store where it was purchased . I explained to her that that requirement was not disclosed to me either verbally, in writing at the time of purchase or through a posted sign at the store further she said it was a new policy the instituted regardless I advised me that was not my concern as the information was not disclosed to me at the time of the purchase something which would have allowed me to either buy or not the product H-E-B was selling on behalf of third parties just like any other product they sell which allows customers to return as a choice for the customer just like any other product further I told her H-E-B is the corporation that owns and operate all stores as they are not franchises or independently owned stores further I asked to produce a copy where that specific rule or policy regarding money orders cashing was written she could not produced one Her manager was also involvedInitial Complaint

August 17, 2022 ******************************* ********************* HEB Corporation ********************************************************* Dear *******************************:I purchased frozen Asparagus Stem and Tips from your store on ****. On August 1, 2022, while eating dinner, a wire from the consumable product punctured my gum and fortunately I dug it out of my mouth before swallowing. I took pictures of the product (enclosed) and the wire. I called your customer service line the very next day and was told they were opening a claim about the product. I was then contact by the operations manager *************************** to bring the remaining bag in with the wire that was in the bag. I did that on Thursday, August 4, 2022, at 5:30pm. I informed him I wanted the wire back. He told me that I would be contacted by the claims **** and that they were sending the wire in for examination. I was happy to hear that. I was called on Saturday, August 6, 2022, by ***************************** stating that he was the representative that was handling my claim. He proceeded to explain that it wasnt HEB product that it was a manufacturing company that would be contacting me. THAT sir is unacceptable. I paid for the product at HEB, it has HEB on the bag (made in ****) I want HEB to stand behind its product and make this right. I was fortunate to not have swallowed the wire, thank GOD or this would be a different conversation. There has been no response or comments or accountability on HEBs part. Make it right. Its very disappointing that a company does not stand behind its product and makes consumable products dangerous. Where is the quality control? I would like a comment back regarding this issue, plus I would like the wire back from the product I purchased at HEB.response back UNACCEPTABLE--HEB LABEL ON ITEM Our review showed that our Insured is only the distributor of the product. I placed an order on Order 8/31/2022 and received damaged items, items that were charged at a higher price after I had paid and checked out. I called HEB **************** and spoke with a lady who said her name was ******* and she stated that I was due a $21.15 refund which I have never received. I have contacted HEB customer service online by filling out their form and no one responds.Customer Answer
