03/14/22 deposit of $14,400 was made to *********************** (owner of yellow star mobile kitchens) for a purchase of a 8ftx16ft food trailer. In contract it gave an estimated completion date of 4 mths. I contacted owner monthly after the 4 mths passed for updates. he had different excuses to why it was not ready. Stated, my workers have covid, i have covid, there is a delay in the material due to covid, this month i am receiving 6 trailer beds and one of them is for you, had your truck ready in February ************************************************************************************ February ************************************************************ February he said we would have our food trailer within 1-2 months. On April 21 it was ready. When we got there we noticed they were still welding and working on the food trailer. So it was not ready. The truck had many problems. some of the problems, excess paint, door handle did not have a way to open from inside out, white silicon throughout all trailer which was fresh not dried, screws exposed throughout food trailer in back of tires too, roof corners were not properly sealed, floor had exposed whole. There was paint in places that should not have paint like the sinks and other areas. 40 lb propane tank was missing. contract said stainless steal walls but only the ones behind grill and flat top were. We agreed a new trailer would be built for us and be ready in 6 months from 4/21/23 but days later he said everything was fixed. We went to see his fixes but realized his fixes were not fixes but cover **** We realized it was all poor and rushed workmanship. He was rude, inpatient and every time we express a concern he would say," well have you owned a food trailer before"? to the point where he said if we did not take and pay him another $14400 he would go bankrupt. We no long want another truck from him. His treatment to us was so bad and degrading we no longer wanted to even speak with him.
