What happened to my LP records?Why did you NÓT pack àñd move my office, computér, mónitor, keyboard, prínter, my file cabinet, my desk ànd chair?

During the move Mr. Legers' son was present and was assisting us with identifying what items needed to be moved based on the limited space Mr. Lger would be moving into an assisted living residence. We packed and moved what Mr. Leger and his son instructed us to. Concerning the items Mr. leger expressed were not not moved or packed were at the direction of his son. Some of the items were transported by the son and the items we moved. Any items that were not moved the son had stated he would move due to the limited space and that not everything was being moved. Mr. Leger and his son had several conversations about what was going and what wasn't going. Our guys packed and moved those items that he directed us to. Mr. Leger, we hope that this isolated incident won't discourage you from using our services in the future. My daughter's bed frame was damaged beyond repair. I specifically asked for it to be taken apart and loaded into a pod; they missed screws or tried loading it without taking it all apart and the wood panels are destroyed where screws stayed attached and panels broken off (purchased 2022, practicallyin new condition). My treadmill (******** purchased 2023 also practically in new condition) and wooden TV cabinet ( a couple of years old, minor worn condition) were cosmetically damaged. I understand some damage can happen to heavier large items, but I chose a company I thought would have honest workers. The workers tried hiding the damages by putting a piece of paper on the bed panels. I waited for the claim process prior to writing about my experience to see how the company would handle this mishap. I received a check for $140 due to the weight of the bed and treadmill. This is a $2200 bed frame from ******* **** that can't be touched up or repaired. The total "weight" is irrelevant as the panels should have been properly taken apart by removing all of the screws. The weight of an individual panel is not that much, I can move them by myself without a dolly. I needed help taking the bed apart and loaded due to having a baby and a toddler with me.
Besides the damaged bed frame and cosmetically damaged treadmill and tv cabinet, I would still not recommend. They did not load the pods properly. They left a lot of open space at the top as if they weren't sure how to stack properly meaning I had to rent an extra pod since I had 2 pods loaded half way instead of to the top. Also, my large tv and art boxes were loaded in on their sides. I don't understand this when the boxes were clearly marked with arrows and tv pictures on them. I didn't need the extra stress of wondering if they got damaged until we were able to unpack them. Thank you for your business and for your feedback. Firefighting's Finest strives for perfection on every job and we take very seriously when we fall short of that goal. The Army veteran that was the supervisor on your job has been extensively trained and has worked for our company for several years. I would not describe him as clueless. He also sent me photos of the job as he loaded your POD. The placement of the items do not match up with the photos you sent in. When we load a customers POD or rental truck, we have no control over what happens to the items once the doors are closed and we leave the job site. We make that very clear in multiple locations on the Labor Only contract that every customer signs indicating their understanding and agreement. What happens to the contents after we leave is beyond our control. We have had some customers move items around, transport them carelessly, unload improperly, etc. We are very sorry that you have experienced some damage which was not noted during the loading process, and we compensated you as a courtesy based on the weights you provided. I had a fantastic experience with Firefighting's Finest for my recent move. The team was fast-working and took great care of my furnishings. The whole job was completed quickly and safely.
