      October 2022 Water Damage Incident
      In October, we discovered water damage in our master bathroom near the shower. After inspecting the damage, the plumber I called recommended Woodlands Water Restoration (WWR) and contacted them on my behalf. The damage mitigation project coordinator assessed the situation, and his team promptly demolished the bottom of the shower and dried everything out. Their work was excellent.
      Restoration Issues
      The problems began with the restoration team. They quoted us for the entire bathroom restoration, citing difficulty in matching tiles and paint. Due to the holidays and a freeze, the work didn't start until January and was completed in February.
      Shower Renovation
      We decided to renovate only the shower and found matching tiles. After finishing the shower, they only reduced the bid by $337.38 (the original bid included redoing the water closet for $336.78). They left dust everywhere, debris in my yard, and removed the granite bench and glass shower enclosure without asking.
      Communication Problems
      Communication with the restoration project coordinator and office manager was challenging. Most of the extra tiles we purchased either weren't returned or disappeared. They charged us 10% for Overhead and 10% for Profit which they calculated including sales tax. Additionally, the coordinator didn't inform us of a 5% credit card convenience fee until the time of payment.
      Conclusion
      In summary, the restoration bid included the entire 12'x6' bathroom, a 6'x2.5' water closet, and two vanities with granite countertops. However, they only restored the 8'x8'x6' shower and reduced the price by the amount quoted for the water closet.
      This was the worst experience I've ever had, and I'm not young. I felt disrespected and abused throughout the entire restoration process which is sad because the mitigation process was absolutely the opposite.

      Woodlands Water Restoration had very quickly responded to our call, and on the weekend too! A project manager came the same day and performed an assessment, followed by a crew to remove the required drywall and set up equipment. Everything was neat and organized, with zero mess left behind. I was very impressed, this is the best I could ask for coming out of our toilet overflow debacle.

      They promptly responded to an upstairs water leak. I worked with Addam, project manager. HE was very professional and answered questions well. He was very reassuring that everything would be taken care of. The inspector who came to my house, David , will similarly very well-qualified. I highly recommend this company based on their service and professionalism.

      I want thank Melody and her team for the wonderful job they did with restoring our bedroom closet. I called them after using them in the past. They were very quick to respond.
