5 starsWe called Woodlands Water Restoration after having a leak from the upstairs bathroom. Our plumbing company highly recommended them. I had immediate response from them and someone came out with in a couple hours. The evaluation was at no cost, they took care of everything for me with my insurance company. Everything was cleaned up and repaired with in a week! We definitely highly recommend them. Happy customers.Review fromMary M

I am not rating them because they do not deserve a star. I was referred to this place by another repair guy, which hustled me. They came out gave me a verbal quote, saying without filing it with my insurance. Next thing you know they highjacked the price after repairs to another quote, but that quote was just to clean, not rebuild. They didn't tell me that until AFTER they got their money. In which they quoted me a higher price to rebuild. They came out tore up my garage, left trash everywhere and even unplugged my freeze that ruin my meat. They just said, o my bad. They brought fans out let them all over my house for 7 days, then came got them. I had not heard from them in 1 month. They kept giving the run around, had several people to call me from different numbers, saying different things. I thought this was a scam. I shut everything down. Again they get a F and I told them I would report them. They also sent out 2 you fresh out of HS guys and they scraped my car with their machine, but again my bad.Woodlands Water Restoration LLC

Thank you for your feedback, Mrs. ******. We will definitely see if we can put your comments to help improve our systems, and wanted to address some of your concerns for clarity.
It is unfortunate that you had a negative impression of us before we even arrived since you mentioned you felt “hustled” by your own “repair guy” that referred us. Please note that when we arrived at your home, you had already filed an insurance claim; so everything you are mentioning about a “verbal quote, highjacking the price, higher price to rebuild” etc is a moot point since the only amount you were responsible for paying was your insurance deductible for your entire project - water mitigation and rebuild. Your insurance company determined the amount that was paid for water mitigation and rebuild, and we completed your project on what the insurance paid and not the other way around as you mentioned.
I have reiterated to our project managers to make sure that our customers are fully aware that if they file an insurance claim that customers are only responsible for paying the deductible and not a penny more or less.
I agree with you that we did demolition work to the garage because that is the proper way to address the water damage in the garage; as a result of the demolition, there was the damaged building material (which you are referring to as trash) that was picked up after the demolition was completed. We may have temporarily unplugged the freezer to do some of the demolition, but our photos show that it was quickly plugged in afterward. Our records also showed that the equipment was properly placed throughout your home and was picked up in a normal timeframe according to our dry logs and the IICRC standards.
I also confirm that you did receive several calls from our company from different telephone numbers since you refused to pay for the water mitigation after receiving your insurance money, plus you avoided answering our calls from our main number.
David our rebuild project coordinator called several times to schedule a time to visit and each time you postponed the appointment to start the rebuild because you said “it was not a good time” which ultimately was the reason the rebuild was delayed for a month.
Please note you still have not paid for the rebuild. This is still an outstanding debt that you owe. After repeated attempts to collect we have not been successful. Since we are members of the BBB we are requesting we both try mitigation or arbitration to solve the reason for the delay of payment, since we are at a loss as to why you have not paid, and need you to resolve this.
As far as your claim that our technicians said “o my bad” and we sent out “2 fresh out of HS guys” - We spoke to the technicians and they absolutely said they did not say such a phrase, however, used this opportunity to train our personnel on how to speaks to customers. Also, please note although our staff looks youthful, they are not high schoolers. We are not able to do anything about their youthful appearance. We don’t discriminate against people’s youthful looks and appreciate our energetic workers.
Thank you again for your feedback and looking forward to resolving the outstanding debt issue through the BBB.

Woodlands Water Restoration was quick to tear out a bathroom, bedroom, and closet due to a water leak in the attic. The team doing the work left an awful mess. They dragged dirt, insulation, woodwork, tile and wet drywall from upstairs through a hallway, down the stairs and through another hallway and out of my home. My home was left very dirty when they left. No one returned to clean up the muddy carpet, pieces of wood, tile, drywall, or insulation mess left throughout my home. The next step was to have a team come in for repair. I was informed this process would take 3-4 days at most. It had been almost EIGHT WEEKS, and the work was nowhere near completed. They left a dirty toilet in my bathtub, dented my bathtub, broke my light fixtures, put a hole in my bathroom wall, attempted to tile my bathroom THREE times, did not cover the clothes or television, framed artwork or furniture when they sanded or cut woodwork. As a result, these items will need professional cleaning/repair. This company caused many additional damages that were not covered by insurance, because Woodlands Water Restoration caused the added damages. None of these damages were fixed. After eight weeks of getting nowhere, I fired this company. The people I spoke with were not willing to supervise their workers as I asked several times for accountability for getting things correct. I gave them plenty of time for a 3-4 day job. I was very rudely told I had no right to be getting upset, yet he refused to be responsible and get the job done. I give my experience ZERO stars. This is a very shortened version of my awful experience.Woodlands Water Restoration LLC

Hi Nancy,
thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I understand how frustrating water mitigation and rebuilding can be and I apologize that you felt you had a bad experience. I am confused by your comments about the "mess" during the water mitigation. Ryan Domzalski was your project manager for water mitigation. He mentioned that you stated all the work was done in a timely manner and appreciated all of our hard work. The confusion comes from why you never mentioned this to him and why you decide to move forward with us with the rebuild if you were unhappy at that point. As far as the rebuild part, I agree that there was a broken light fixture that we tried to replace but never could get approval from you on a suitable replacement. Although we wish that there is a 100% chance that something won't get broken, our job is to replace them to the best of our ability if they do. Although some concerns could be argued and some parts of the projects completed quicker, we believed that we had come to a mutually amicable settlement and thus again confused about the negative review if agreed on a mutual separation. Please reach out to me personally - Robert if you would like to go through mediation with the BBB to resolve any unresolved issues since from the last discussion we had we had settled this to your satisfaction.

We first met a Woodlands water Restoration person the day after we found out waht had caused a leak in our utility room. Ryan came out at our request after a recommendation from the plumber that identified the cause of the leak. There was a lot more water under the flooring than we at first thought. Ryan came out and listed the items that would be necessary to insure that the room would be free and clear of mold and that all items would be removed and replaced.
Woodlands Water Restoration handled all aspects of removal of flooring, etc.., removal of all moisture, and then remediating the room back to original shape. All work was done very well and efficiently in the time period that was given to us before the project began.Woodlands Water Restoration LLC

Thank you James for sharing your experience. It is so interesting the way water can travel and how much damage it can cause if left untreated. I applaud your effort in addressing this issue and letting us help be part of the solution. As you mentioned, we help get homeowners like yourself back to pre-loss conditions after water damage or mold damage. This includes the free evaluation, water/mold remediation, guidance with the insurance claim, and rebuilding homes after removing effect water damage material. Thank you again for your time and effort in writing your review.
