I received a notice for unpaid balance. I paid the balance, yet continue to receive 'final notices' about this. I am directed to a papayapay website. I can't tell if this if fraud or not and I'm not receiving any help from North Valley Emergency Physicians.Initial Complaint

I was referred to the American Fork Hospital ER after I had a surgical procedure in February 2024. I am double covered for insurance and we had (have) met our deductible for the year and we are completely covered at this hospital so we did not receive any bill from IHC - only a breakdown of what our insurance covered which resulted in no balance. Then about a month ago I received a text message about a bill from North Valley Emergency Physicians that was the final notice. There was no contact information connected to this alert other than the number it came from and it wasn't a number you could call. I called the hospital and they gave me a number to call and I reached out 3 different times and sat on hold for close to 4 hours total with no one ever answering. I called the hospital again and they gave me another number and I had the exact same issue - tons of hold time with no one ever answering. I finally received a physical bill at my home and there was a phone number and email address on. Again, I called 2 times, sat on hold for an hour each time, and never talked to anyone. I also sent multiple emails and have never received a reply. I'm not going to pay a bill to a company I cannot get in contact with.Initial Complaint

My husband was seen in the ER and was unable to breathe he had to wait in a room for an hour and a half. He called after and was told he didn't have a bill. We never received a bill from the contracted north valley emergency physicians. It must have been sent to an old address. We updated our address through usps as well as ihc. We did not know about the bill and were never contacted by north valley physicians or mountainland collection agency until we received a summons. We offered payment plan for $25 per month and were told that wouldn't stop court proceedings. This is unfair and needs to be addressedInitial Complaint

Received a text from this company saying “final notice” on a medical bill from a few months ago. I have never received anything in the mail. I had to look up their phone number and when I called it said they are closed due to an outage. I made a partial payment through the text link and a few weeks later they texted me again to tell me I still owed the original amount. They have no record of my first payment, luckily I took a screenshot of the payment confirmation.Initial Complaint

Went as a patient to the new Saratoga Springs IHC Emergency Center for care. A month later I received a text message on a work phone saying I had a bill 30 days past due for $1,272 from North Valley Emergency Physicians from my visit to the Intermountain Saratoga Springs Campus. There was no contact information, no billing detail or statement. I received a second text message again saying to pay the bill. A link was included which, after verifying my email, gave my name and date I was in the ER, but should no insurance payment had been received, and gave no billing contact for questions. When I contacted IHC they said they didn’t have a bill for a physician, initially said it was probably fraudulent, but when I said it recognized my date of birth and have the date of the visit, they said I had to contact that group directly, and gave me a phone number to a random family clinic in Saratoga Springs.Initial Complaint

American Fork Emergency room doctors are surprise billing me for a visit in 2022 and 2024.
11/2/2022 I went to the ER after a car collision to verify I was ok. Blue cross blue shield was my primary and tricare was my secondary insurance and they were having issues with billing. I received a call on 4/18/2024 saying I was sent to collections. I called the AF emergency room to verify if that was true. They said it was not. I then set up a payment plan because neither insurance company would assist in paying the bill.
3/18/2024 I went to the ER because I was having trouble breathing and I am pregnant. I payed the co-pay while I was at the ER.
On 4/18/2024 at 11:50 am, I received a phone call from North Valley Emergency Physicians saying that I had been sent to collections. I called the American Fork Emergency billing department and they said that I had not been sent to collections saying I owed over $1000.
I was sent a text message from north valley saying I was sent to collections for $1300 and have until 5/19/2024.
I was not notified that there would be a separate billing company and that has not been the regular practice I’ve experienced at the AF ER.
I do not believe this is legal and need help.Initial Complaint

I've received several texts (like another complaint on this business) to pay $876 for a recent visit that my son had to American Fork Hospital on 3/9/2024. North Valley Emergency Physicians has no web site or phone number that works for them so that I could call their billing dept and really find out. The text came from ###-###-####. I did not pay them. When I call this phone number listed on your web site, they say they are closed due to an unforseen outage because of the Change Healthcare breach and to check back next week. I'm pretty sure these texts are from the hackers, so I wanted to make people aware. I have not received any printed statement or bill from them. I also wanted to let you/North Valley Emergency Physicians know that their business does not look legit because they have no web site listing their doctors and what hospitals they serve or anything. This also makes this business look like a scam company front.Initial Complaint

My complaint is with North Valley Physicians billing. If you look them up online they actually have an average of one star in their ratings with over 30 reviews, all related to the billing department (never seen that before!). I just added another one. I went to the new IHC ER in Saratoga Springs. They told me they accept Medicare. I have both Medicare and AARP Supplemental, which despite having a very high premium, by law must cover the remainder of what Medicare doesn’t pay, so I have not had to pay a medical bill for over a decade. However, suddenly I got a bill from them for $1272. They never billed Medicare or AARP. When I called the number I was told it was the “other” North Valley Physicians. Apparently both companies fall under the same umbrella company. (Old one is Brault Practice Solutions, new one is Aethena Patient Svcs., but both still call themselves North Valley Physicians) She gave me the number for them. I waited for one and a half hours and they never came on the phone. The bill they texted me has NO WAY TO CONTACT THEM and I can’t even find a email address anywhere. They just have a question “How much are you going to pay?” Again, I can not locate any email for them and they don’t answer their phone. I realize IHC is a very reputable institution, however this company they’ve contracted out to do their billing has BIG problems! They billed me without first going thru Medicare and AARP and, again, I have no way to contact their billing department. (Sorry for the repetitiveness!) From what I read in the reviews they are pretty quick to send folks to collections without giving appropriate warnings or ways to contact them and Collections is the last place I want to have to deal with. PLEASE help me!Initial Complaint

I was seen at the American Fork ER Hospital on 10-03-2023. I received a bill for $876 that was partly paid by my insurance. I have been trying to get this bill resolved due to several issues including wrong coding (it doesn't match the hospital bill coding) and a lack of explanation of diagnostic procedures (I have not received a super bill).
I am still being told I owe this money and the charges don't even match the amount the code should be following. CPT Code is ***** for out network on average is $876 however I was very much considered in-network which should be on average $465.
I need my bill to be adjusted to the right amount and if it is charged out of network, then it is a violation of the No Surprises Act and I will file a complaint there as well if needed.
