    I should have read the reviews before going with this company. Horrible start to finish. They had the system on my house months before the plan was approved with Xcel. I paid both companies for 3 months until Generation could finally get their stuff together. It did not include a battery backup or consumption meter - which was the main reason I wanted solar. Now to get it after the fact it is twice the cost.

    I know we spoke at length regarding this issue, ******. I am so sorry the batteries cost so much. I know when you original sat down with ************* you discussed a lot of things and its hard to remember everything that was presented. I wish basic solar systems included battery back up systems but that nearly doubles the price due to the cost of batteries. Please let me know if anything changes or might want one in the future. We really do value your business.

    My experience with this company has been the worst experience I've had with a company ever. They don't return phone calls they haven't done what we agreed upon. I'm being charged for the solar as well as my power bill. My system isn't hooked up properly, I know this because I sold solar for a couple of years for a couple of different solar companies. It took like 11 months after the system was installed to have the system turned on, I was told within 90 days it would be installed and turned on it took almost a year, and it's still not hooked up properly. Please do not use this company as it is NOT a good company to go through.

    DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS! I singed my contact in September of 2022 and was told I would have it installed no later then November. It was in the "planning stages" until April 18 2023. During this time I received no real updates other then a automated message that was full of incorrect information about my job. The team that did the install was from MI (where i live) and did a nice job. However the horrible communication has continued. I got a text on the 25th that my install was for the 19th how is that for horrible communication.I have had to reach out to my power provider and ask how I can get this going because I'm paying for something I can't even use. There suggestion was to call and email every day. The feeling I got for the conversation was this is normal for this business. Stay clear your be happy to save the grief and aggravation from this business.

    STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY We signed a contract 10 months ago it's still not active. Took 7 months to get the panels installed (they blamed the delay on city backlog for the permit not being issued when in fact THEY NEVER SUBMITTED ANYTHING) and 3 months of waiting for it to be turned on (still waiting). Even when I contacted the **** nothing changed and once the panels were Installed (3 months ago) no one would call us back. 3 failed inspections by the city, all their fault. We got an email telling us to turn it on ourselves (which didn't work). If we had questions or concerns, to bad! They told us it's better this way so we can trouble shoot problems. Now we're going on 4 weeks and NOTHING! Our loan started Feb 1st so we're paying Xcel AND for solar panels that don't work $266 a month. We spent $40,000 and have had nothing but constant headaches, hours of phone calls, emails and text messages.

    If no stars was an option or negative stars, this is where it would go. Began process Mar 2022 - sales *************** was AMAZING. May we had no comm with Generation to tell us there were delays. Virtually NO customer service it was always the same "person" with leave a message thanks for calling. NEVER got a call back. End of Jun before panels show up, was told should only take 4 hr to install 10 hr later they quit for the day, come back the next day and 5 hr more they are done.Month goes by, no comm from Generation that the city will be out to inspect, Inspect happens no comm from Generation that it didn't pass. **** says that failed inspect, FINALLY get Generation on the line, someone out the next week to correct the problem. 2 weeks later guy comes out to flip everything over. They had installed the electrical portion (inverter and power box) upside down. City inspects the following week. Oct 2022 pmts start coming out. Generation tells me about reimbursement of pmts, stopping auto pay until panels are working, NOTHING. Then another ** weeks to have the IT guy come get the inverter talking to the panels only to find out he can only get half of them talking. Wait another ** weeks for "better" IT guy come out. FINALLY have install and working Solar mid Dec 2022. Solar Edge app working great panels pushing out power. Mid Feb 2023 (yes you are seeing that correctly) nothing showing on app for power generated. Call Generation Solar they now have a customer service group - get that person on the line who tells me how to reboot system so panels are talking to inverter.........does not work. Call back a week later (I was out of town for family issues), they tell me they will get someone out to look at it, to stay by my phone, nothing again. Spent all of last week leaving a message a day because now they are either blocking my calls or no longer have a customer service system in place as the message states Generation Solar not avail.DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

    TERRIBLE COMPANY!! DON'T GET SOLAR FROM THIS COMPANY!! If I could give out zero stars I would! Signed loan docs in September, installers came out the end of November and were TERRIBLE! Was told that my system would be up and running by January. Well that didn't happen. NOT in January, NOT in February and NOT in March ( which is the month I'm currently in). Meanwhile, I tried calling over and over and over to find out what the problem was and all I ever got was a voice mail on their "customer service" line which messages never got returned!! EVER! EMAILS EIETHER!! I finally got fed up and contacted the person who sold me the system and he back door them and found out that I had "slipped through the cracks", how the **** does that happen if you are a reputable company? So, I was told back February that they would reimburse me for the months I paid for my loan while the system was still down, but here it is MARCH and I'm still no closer to having an operational system and they have not reimbursed me for paying my loan. Oh and having an electric bill on top of it each of these months. No end in sight with this, paying both loan and electric. DON'T GO SOLAR WITH THIS COMPANY!

    The worst customer service I have ever encountered. We signed a contract in September of 22, still don't have a functional system, and expected to make our first loan payment next month. Everytime I want an update on the project, I have to try to track someone down.

    HORRIBLE! We began our process with Generation Solar the summer of '22 and had our solar installed back in September of 22. They promised us that if the solar was not connected before billing began, they would offer us all kinds of incentives (gift cards, etc.), but made it seem as though the solar would for sure by on by the end of the year. Sure enough, billing started and there has been zero communication. We have not been able to reach anybody or get a clear answer as to what is going on with the solar that is just sitting on top of our roof. They came out last month and found all kinds of issues with it, left before fixing anything and we haven't heard from them since. Meanwhile, we now have an electric bill and a solar bill. This was a huge mistake and nothing but problems from the beginning, and we are getting ready to hire an attorney regarding this matter. BEWARE OF GENERATION SOLAR and look elsewhere for your solar needs!

    It was a nightmare from just after the signing of the solar loan. They put the panels on the roof but didn't have any permits to do it. We started paying for a system that was not only not working but not permitted through the county or the electric company that this system runs through. **** story short it took over a year and lots of threats to take them to court before this system was done. We wish we had never done this especially since our electric bills have not gone down hardly at all. We honestly don't think that this system, that we were told would cover 104% of our electric needs, is even actually working. We are having someone come out to check it to see if it is. So not only are we still paying big electric bills we're also paying for a solar loan. No money saved here. If I could give a zero star I would.**************

    We have had nothing but delays. Contract signed in April 2022. The first scheduled installation the panels didnt come and we did not know they were to be delivered to our home. Waited, then called Generation Solar and were then informed the panels were not available. The 2nd install date (mid July) 21 of 24 panels were installed. The last 3 panels were installed on 8/4/2022. Generation Solar reported the job completed to the finance company on 8/2/2022 which generated monthly deductions from our bank account. The job did not pass inspection and to this date, 12/30/2022, we still are not on the grid.There is no communication; we always have to call or text them.No professionalism on their behalf; just excuses.
