I called to cancel my health coverage with Sovereign because I went on my employer's health insurance. They informed me that I still had to pay for the following month coverage because I missed the cut off time....24 hours prior!!!!!! They said I signed a contract stating that, I asked them for a copy of the contract and they said I e-signed it on my phone!!! So they can't send me a paper copy? Extremely rude and very shady. I will be disputing the charge on my credit card. Horrible company, all they could say well you have coverage till the end of November!!! I don't want or need coverage!! I cancelled six days before the end of October and that should be sufficient!

Hello, ********************: We have reviewed your complaint. Please note that the independent agent did refund the payment charged on 10/26/2022. A refund receipt has been emailed to the email address on your account. SNI's cancellation policy is outlined in the e-signature and on our website sniprotect.com, which is: "Cancellations must be received at least 5 business days prior to the next premium draft date to avoid premiums being withdrawn for the following month. There are no retroactive cancellations or refunds." This is to insure that ample time is available for the cancellation to be completed. If you need additional assistance or information on the refund, please email ************************** Thank you, SNI Compliance

When I purchased my insurance with Sovereign Nations, I specifically told the agent that I have an existing conditon, UC, and that I need colonoscopy every other two years. I need an insurance that covers this procedure. I am scheduled for one on Oct.31,2022. I got a call from my doctors office, telling me that my insurance is not covering colonoscopy. I called SNI, asked for a manager, spoke with *******, and she gave me a number to call. I asked *******, if I can change my plan with a better one. She said, with your income, this is what you get. She said to call ************* and they can give me a discount for the procedure. Called ************* and they said that they do not cover colonoscopy. It is soooooo frustrating that a company like this is still in business. With my experience with them, I can call them a legal scammers. How can they sleep at night, is a big wonder to me.

Hello, ****************: We apologize for the interaction you had with the independent agent. Many of our health plans do cover preventive services such as a colonoscopy after a waiting period. Additionally, if the service scheduled is diagnostic due to a pre-existing condition, there is an exclusion period. Either way, we would like to look into this further for you; however, we were unable to located your information the name and email listed. Please email ************************* so us to investigate this further. Thank you, SNI Compliance

I am really upset how your manager, *******, handled my call that day. What you are saying now in this email, was not mentioned to me that day. I was just told to call *************, and never offered a way to help me. I was just told that because of my income , this is what I get. I already cancelled my policy, so I have no reason anymore to provide you with the email I used and my full name.

****************, We understand, and would like to assist you at your discretion. Being persistent, your account was located. The plan in which you enrolled does offer preventive services as a benefit; however, it appears the services you inquired about was considered to be "pre-existing" from what was entered into the customer service notes. This should not have been deemed "pre-existing" or "diagnostic" at a customer service level. Instead, it should have been directed to the claims adjudicator for verification of benefits surrounding your specific situation. We will ensure the independent agent is re-trained on the *** Access Plan, its policy benefits, and communication expectations with *** members. Lastly, we have requested a full refund for the premium payments made on the *** health plan. Sincerely... thank you bringing this to our attention.

My family upgraded to this new health insurance company 2 months ago and have been so happy with the coverage and the care, not to mention, my family is saving 40% from what we were paying for much better coverage. I was so excited to see that our plan covers chiropractic as I have never had a health insurance company cover chiro. With our daughters constantly getting sick starting back to school, the 24/7 Telehealth plan has been priceless for us as we have used it 3 times already this school year. It is refreshing to find a company that puts our care ahead of their profits.

DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THIS COMPANY. Most of you that went out of your way to check the reviews for this company have either already been persuaded by "an independent broker" or are looking into whether this is a good company. Go with Aetna, Blue Cross, or any well-established insurance company, but not SNI. I was promised great insurance from the third party agency (which the guy i spoke with was friendly and made my coverage & premium sound great)-to then receive log-in credentials to a health insurance portal that looks poorly made...then i checked the reviews and they were all horrible and alarming(people complaining about bills not being covered) , and then i realized this company hasn't even been in business for more than 2 years and that they relied on a third party agency to attract people to their business. I feel so ignorant providing all my personal and payment info to a company i should have done more research on...So i decided to proceed with cancelling my policy before i even needed to use their benefits just to avoid issues & receive a full refund. When i sent the request to cancel, i was met with some **** on the phone (not sure if he is from the agency Affordable Health Providers, the billing company First Enroll, or the actual health insurance provider SNI) but that person has to be the least professional person ive ever dealt with. They were angry the whole time, acted so perplexed that i would even consider cancelling my "amazing benefits" and it got to the point where he not only cursed at me but called me stupid and told me cancellations look bad on the agents that made the deal (Like that's my problem????) and saying that im just some 20-something year old that doesnt know anything about health insurance. I can tell from my interaction with them they've had to deal with many people cancelling policies early on...just red flags on top of red flags on top of red flags. Lesson learned.

Thank you for your review. Our records reflect the member enrolled into SNI Limited Plans (SNI Access) on September 13, 2022 through an independent broker to begin on October 1, 2022. The plan is one of SNIs lower plan levels with limited benefits. The member has since cancelled his plan and received a full refund; however, there were more robust plans available that includes hospitalization and surgery. When members speak to an independent agent, they may select a SNI plan that meets their health care needs and their budget.
