1 starIm very disappointed with my experience as a first-time parent trusting Owlets product for my newborns safety. I received a brand-new, unopened Smart Sock 2 as a baby shower gift and saved it for when my baby arrived. When I finally tried to use it, the device wouldnt connect to WiFi or function properly, even after following every troubleshooting guide, using the original charger, and contacting customer support several times. After days of trying to get it to work, I was finally told that the product had reached the end of its life even though it had never been used or opened until now. The only solution offered was a $100 discount toward a new device, which still requires me to pay an extra $200+ taxes out of ********* left with a completely useless product that was never functional, and zero accountability from the company. I understand tech products evolve, but its unreasonable and unfair that a medical-type device meant to monitor a newborn can be rendered obsolete before its ever used.I trusted this brand for peace of mind, but instead I got frustration, poor customer care, and a product that failed me when I needed it most. I hope Owlet reconsiders how it handles situations like this, especially when it involves something as sensitive as infant care.Review fromJessica C

1 starI purchased the Owlet Dream Sock with the expectation that it would last throughout my childs early years, but unfortunately, that was not the case. After just a little over a year of use, the sensor completely stopped working. Conveniently for them, Owlets warranty expires at one year, meaning they refused to replace or even discount a new sensor for me. Given that the sock is designed to be worn well past a year, the fact that the sensor fails so soon is completely unacceptableespecially for a product that costs $300.What made this experience even worse was Owlets horrendous customer service. It took over a week for them to respond to my email, and I only got a reply after repeatedly reaching out through social media. Instead of acknowledging the issue, they kept trying to gaslight me by insisting that I must have been putting the sock on wrongeven though it had worked perfectly for a year. Their lack of accountability and refusal to stand behind their product is beyond frustrating. On top of the faulty sensor and poor customer support, the sock material itself is cheap and flimsy, wearing out far too quickly. For such an expensive product, I expected durability, but instead, I got something that barely held up. Their customer service team also stopped responding to my e-mails when I told them I was unhappy with their customer service which is beyond frustrating and incredibly unprofessional. Overall, I am extremely unhappy with my experience. Owlet sells an overpriced, poorly made product and then refuses to stand behind it when it inevitably fails. Save your money and look elsewhere.Review fromDana B

1 starZero stars! I purchased the camera and the sock but I didn’t open the box or used the camera for a year. When I decided to open it the camera wouldn’t scan the QR code whatever I tried. I reached out to the customer service who suggested some basic advice (do you have the new IOS installed, did you try with a different phone) - yes I did) and then told me they can’t help even if the product is completely new out of the box because it was purchased more than a year ago. When I asked them if I could at least ask for repair they stopped completely answering to my emails (Rep name: Yole with a hilariously ironic signature #restassured). This company doesn’t stand behind a $400 product that doesn’t function out of the box. The internet is full of similar testimonies of how the cameras are not working. Do not buy! I am not sure how they are still allowed to sell $400 paper weights.Review fromMaddison C

1 starDon't bother purchasing anything from this company. The Owlet sock has given me piece of mind however it is marketed to last up to 5 years yet my first sock stopped working just after a year (conveniently just out of warrenty). After talking with support I was told I could purchase a replacement sensor. I did this but was unaware that it only came with a 6 month warranty. The sock once again has gone out just over the 1 year mark. Support has been entirely unhelpful and refuse to make any expecting even though I've had 2 devices go out at the 1 year mark even though it is advertised to last 5 years. Their responses are robotic like they are working with a script and not allowed to deviate in the slightest. I have been a loyal customer that has bought multiple devices and usually try purchase as gifts if I can for friends and family when they are expecting. I will no longer be doing this because it is a waste of money and essentially a scam. They want to squeeze every penny out of you that they can. Do not purchase anything Owlet because they will be unbelievably unhelpful and could not care less about their customersReview fromErick W

1 starOur baby girl was born with sever laryngo malecia, a collapsed esophagus which caused her to choke when feeding and breathing, especially at night. We purchase the owlet hoping that the alerts would give us piece of mind at night while she slept, and they did for about 3 months and then our base station stopped working keeping the owlet sock from charging and ultimately dying. We are now 5 weeks without a sock even though we have been in contact with their customer service for those 5 weeks. We have sent in 7 videos to 3 different customer service agents, all with different instructions and theories on why the sock isn’t working. They sent us a replacement sock despite us knowing that the base station was the issue and not the sock and that sock won’t charge either. We’ve had phone calls and more videos proving to them that the sock isn’t charging on the base but yet they still always have “1 more fix” to try and then they will honor their replacement but I’m not doing another video for them. Buyer beware, they will not honor their warranty and they will string you along for 5 weeks hoping you’ll give up before they will replace what is clearly broken. Not only that but they have put our babies life at risk because now we aren’t alerted to anything because the base station and sock aren’t working. DO NOT BUYReview fromDevon Y

1 starWe received the Owlet sock and camera duo as a baby shower gift less than 2 years ago, this product was over $400, and we have had multiple issues. I have contacted support and they are absolutely no help, we are always told the item is out of warranty but it was a gift and we have no control over if a warranty was purchased or not. They had me jumping through hoops to take pictures of the item, how it fits, asked for proof of when my son was born and so much more to provide no help! We didnt begin to use this product until our son was 7 months old which is when we transitioned him to his own room so we have used the product for less than a year! A product that cost over $400 warranty or not shouldnt have so many issues within less than a year of use! The customer service and company overall STINKS! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!Review fromAmanda G

1 starPurchased the owlet sock. It took over 3 weeks to ship. Was able to return as I bought one at my local Best Buy. They said I'd get s refund with a 10$ restock fee taken off.Never was refunded. When I called they stated the bank denied my refund. Called the bank they said there is no such thing, no attempt was made on their end, and now they are filing a claim against them.Do not buy from this company. I got no where with getting my product on time, and 3 weeks later no where with feting mu $330 back.Very disappointing as I'm on maternity leave without full pay.Review fromJordan G

1 starYeah I will likely never purchase from owlet again and will highly discourage others not to as well. As a company that prides itself on caring for our children the company itself left me with no options when a silly cord did not hold up other than to buy a cord outside of the company that doesnt even meet the owlet standards. If the company truly cared about their customers and the children the customers are buying the product this issue would have been easily resolved. You guys can run a whole giveaway to give a free camera set to 10 individuals but when I ask to BUY a cord to ensure proper camera capabilities I was told no with no resolution for months. Interesting.Review fromDenise

1 starTheir advertisement are false when I purchased the product online during the Mothers Day promotion their had stated in their website a Free sock with my purchase and even in the check out it said it was free but when paying it was charging for the sock and when I tried to call costumer service they refused to help and were rude. I spent over $350 and I cant even get the free sock that was said to me freeReview fromkelsie n

1 starTheir customer service is horrible. I ordered a Dream Sock last night with a promotion for a free camera with purchase of a sock. It was the last night for the promotion. When ordering there wasn't an option to add the free camera to my purchase but I did not want to lose the deal and wait until their customer service department was open the next day so I ordered anyway. I contacted them this morning first thing and the *************** ended our chat before we were done. The second person I spoke to was ***** and he stated that he could not help me and that I could send back my order after I received it. He said they could not honor the promotion after the order was placed. I asked to speak to someone who could help me and he ended the chat and wouldn't let me talk to anyone else. How can you send out an email for a promotion, not have the promotion available on your website and then tell people that you can't honor it? Your customer service team is extremely unprofessional ending conversations before they resolved my problem. I even asked them to cancel my order and they told me they can't and that I need to wait until I receive the product and pay them to have it shipped back. So that's several weeks that they are holding 300 dollars from me. I will not purchase from them again.
