  Someone of behalf of career step LOST a $2000 check sent directly from an employer and refuses to let me speak to a manager or even file a complaint. Zero communication, zero effort to fix the issue, absolutely negligent. The check was received by career step in JULY and it is now NOVEMBER and it is somehow lost on behalf of career step.

  I do not recommend career step, Im so upset when I called they promised to help me and if i ever needed anything just to contact them Ive been calling this guy who helped me sign up for psych tech he have me his cell number but never answered me just the first week ! They said Psych tech certificate was approved in ********** I mentioned to them I was from ********** not to mention I was charged ***** ! Now that I finished and called them to take the exam they told me to contact ******************** of *********** Technicians and thankfully a lady helped me and gave me good information saying that ********** is strict and dont accept the certificate that career step said is good for every state ! Why lie why make people believe all this and take their money.. long story short I paid for nothing cause this certificate doesnt work for me ! People please dont let these people fool you I just want my money back!

  The worst thing I did in my life, I didnt start the course till a few days and going through the chapters on line I wasnt reading anything about coding, I called for books and they refused to send them to me, and they sent me a certificate saying I passed on my first 2 weeks. So since they wouldnt give me my books I called to cancel and they said I couldnt because I had to cancel before 14 days, I didnt know, now I have collections calling me that I owe $3700.00 they are charging me $1 day for interest so thats why I stopped making payments I offered to pay $1500 to close my account and they refused what a nightmare

  I paid $100 to Career Step in late February 2023. I didnt know what I was getting myself into, but now I regret even signing a contract with them (that was forced on me). I didnt recall getting told about a 14 day trial and when I called to get out of my contract, they said there was nothing they can do. Now, I got debt collectors calling my phone every single day harassing me about money I cant give them. I told them I have a child on the way and they showed no remorse NONE. I never want to talk to do business with Career Step again. All I wanted to do was get out of my contract before I had to start the payments but now this nonsense is impacting my credit and my life VERY negatively!!!! Highly would not recommend doing any type of business with them!! They only care about the money!!!!!

  Dear learner, CareerStep has a 14 day return period. It is clearly outlined in our agreement that you signed and initialed. You request to return came four months after you enrolled. We would be happy to help you reach the goal you set out to do. To get certified so you can find a better job.

  I signed up in May22,2023 for the Dental Assistant program but then I changed it to ********************** They said no problem it will still be the same amount of money $3,899.00. When I starting searching and ask my friends that did the program they only paid $450 . So I called my advisor that now doesnt want to talk to me or is always busy . I want to cancel they said no because its pass 14 days when today is ********************************************************************************************************************** have proof of . I ask the lady again send me the contract that I still dont have and she said yes ** going to send it and she never did either. Im going to find a lawyer to see if they can help me in regards of this manner.I should of done more research before talking to this school . Its a shame that they just want money and I see all these complaints now . I hope the General Attorney can fix this matter for school that rip off money like this . The lady even told me that they dont have a direct line or extension to call anyone which I think is a total lie.

  I just signed up I paid $100 for them down payment but I would like to cancel my program and to not be charged anymore I just want the $100 refund back

  This company is nothing but thiefs! They had no problem taking my money but after trying to terminate my contract with them and get a refund, I've been given the run around. Keep calling and getting the same bs answers that my request has been qued and should take 24 hours. That was over a week ago! Called again today and same answer from a guy that sounded like a robot with nothing but the same responses! **************** will not help me with this issue! Once they get your money or find out they won't be getting anymore of your money all manners go out the door.

  Horrible service my community college had this on there website and I had no clue what I was in for I repeatedly made payments and it was taken off my credit report now I owe **** for what? I had given approval to take the money out if my account now there saying it didn't happen after months of silence

  DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! The Medical Billing and Coding class is terrible. I have had multiple calls with advisors and no one can tell me what years books this class is based on. But my books lack the steps the class gives; main terms, subterms that aren't even in my books! And yes, I went out and purchased the previous years books thinking that maybe the class just hadn't been updated. Nope. On top of that, every single chapter of every single module has at least one question that will be marked incorrect even though you have the exact same answer as the answer key. This has happened so many times. I have also had answers marked wrong, had a call with an advisor and been told that I do in fact have the correct answer, the class is just wrong and theres nothing they can do about it because the course is a third party. This has also happened may times. I am struggling so hard to finish a class i spent so much money on, but it is the worst put together class ever. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

  They sell you on a good program. They give you only a 2-week only opt-out of the program. WHAT THEY DON'T TELL YOU IS - These whole 2 weeks will be a computer course or something else that has nothing to do with your class. Working this program 6 hours a day for 2 weeks before you can see what program you actually enrolled in. By the time you get into the program you signed up for IT IS TOO LATE TO CANCEL. They have no remorse or human decency when people are struggling and trying to do the best they can. I only pray this helps the next single parent out there before it's too late. Only gave one star because you have to, to write a review.
