      On June 10, 2023 A sales rep from Ridd pest control came to our house and on that day the sales rep took advantage of a lonely, elderly man and guilted him into getting a service that he didn't need or want. The representative spent 2 1/2 hours in the home allowing the homeowner to show him all of his personal belongings such as gold, jewelry, coins etc. and when the homeowner got tired, he announced that he was going to bed and at that point the sales representative made him feel bad and said that after entertaining the homeowners stories for over two hours that he really needed him to buy something. The homeowner felt very bad at that point and just wanted to go to sleep so he agreed to the service, not knowing what he was getting into. At that point my daughter walked in and she was informed that they needed a phone to sign a contract and since there is no landline she let her phone be used, not knowing that it would be used to be video taped while agreeing to the contract. The representative never told them that they were being video taped and he stood behind them speaking over the contract reader on the phone, so the homeowner had no idea that he was agreeing to an 18 month contract that carries a cancellation fee of $250. This company is very unprofessional and misleading and they take advantage of people, especially when they don't clearly know what they are doing. There should be laws against solicitation of the elderly. All we want is to cancel the service without being charged, and for this company to revamp their solicitation ***** to have training on the elderly community. Some of the elderly don't know to put a sign on the door or how to just say no to a sales representative so representatives need to be trained to not take advantage of an elderly person. This company has no regard for the elderly, they don't care if they are in debt, or losing their home or even if they are sick they just want the money and that is disgusting.

      On June 20 a sales person showed up to my door trying to sell your services however I told the salesman I'm not interested and the man kept blabbing on to the point where I almost shut the door in front of him I'm not rude but I will not tolerate disrespect at that point that is trespassing when I've asked for him to leave. Next time I see someone that works for you I will instantly call the police for trespassing

      I was solicited at my home on 5-25-23, by Ridd salesperson *******************, who convinced me that the other company didn't do everything necessary & being new to the area not familar with ******* insects, believed him. Told me I was within 3 days & could cancel. (He knew I was in contract & had service done) I voiced concern about using natural products (1st Company did) & he insinuated that **** did also by saying they were plant based. He had me bring up the email from the 1st company, took my phone & wrote the cancellation email. This was late in the day--tech came at 9 next morning. It was not until I got the email of what service was done, with 3 links showing products used, that I found out it was not natural products. 2 clearly showed that these were not natural products with poison warnings etc. (3rd didn't work) I was very upset as I was solicitated, lied to & highly pressured into this & given the impression I could cancel within 3 days. I sent an email less than 24 hours after signing to cancel as per the contract I was sent by email after I finger signed on a cell phone where it was impossible to see details. email replied back saying I had to call "my" account manager" I did call an account manager who, as other reviewers mentioned (Read Yelp & the * ****** Reviews), acted like she was the only & the highest person to talk to. She did not know what a certified operator in charge is as I asked to speak to that person. She was nasty & said they wouldnt cancel without $250 early cancellation fee, after I already paid $189 for poisons I did not ask for & was told I would be billed the same frequency until I did pay ********** proceed to send me to collections. I got a "friendly" text reminding me of this as soon as I hung up with account manager who cares nothing about customer service & did not listen or care what I had to say. The reason they get their techs to do the service as ASAP, is to lock you in contract. $450 for 1 service that wasn't even complete

I can assure you that we do not service the home as soon as possible to lock any customer into a contract, but it is rather to provide service as soon as possible to alleviate ******** problems a customer may have.       On 5-24-2023 we signed a contract with Ridd Pest Control. The salesman ********************* told us they would clean all remnants of bugs and bug detritis from all parts of the outside of our house. In particular, the front porch walls, ceiling and porch floor that had bug stains. On 5-26-2023 technician ********* came and applied pesticides inside the house and outside and knocked down a few spider webs. He did not clean the bug stains on the floor of the porch or left over mud dobbers stains. Did not clean bug debris from the window ***** or all the bug remnants from the ceiling of the porch. I called ******* and said the cleaning was not satisfactory. He said he would dispatch a crew to make it right and text when they were coming. Several days went by and I heard nothing. Called ******* back he said he forgot and was on vacation to call the office to schedule. Office was called and a technician scheduled for 06-05-2023 between 8:30 am and 10:30am. Technician ****** texted at about 9am to say he was running late. then said he would be there at 9:57am. When technician ****** came I pointed our what needed to be cleaned. Said he could not do that did not have equipment to do it. ****** said he would contact the office and tell them we wanted the contract cancelled. Late that day I called the office, they said ****** called it a "no show". The lady could not help had to call an account manager on **********. On 6-6-2023 I spoke to ***** to cancel and told him the work that had been promised was not done and wanted a full refund of the monies we paid. He said they would have to charge a $249 cancellation fee. I disputed that and asked for his manager, he said there was no one above him. He could not cancel the contract unless the $249 fee was paid. If they send someone for the next application in two months and we refuse it we will still be charged a fee for service. I offered to pay the $79 for the first application but would not pay cancellation fee.

      Company is door-to-door soliciting in a neighborhood that has a sign out front that says no solicitation. **** post control is ignoring that and soliciting it anyway.

      I was visited at my home by a young man selling pest service. He told me that RIDD Pest Control could guarantee the elimination of certain pests such as ants and wasps with the service, which I saw as a blessing as I am allergic to wasps and terrified of ants. He told me there was a window of cancellation available also, so I signed up. He neglected to inform me until after I signed that there would be a fee for cancellation. I continued to use and pay for their services to avoid the cancellation fee until I realized that I was still seeing ants, wasps, and other pests. I then called support to talk to someone about cancelling my service contract based on the guarantee I was given. The representative I spoke with said this wasnt possible as they do not make guarantees. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told that their supervisors do not take phone calls. I proceeded to email the supervisor, who has yet to help me, and I called support to try to get through again only to speak with the same representative over and over again. I believe this companys customer support and sales team are using lies and half truths to get signed contracts. My account number with them is *****. I would like my services cancelled for no fee, and this business should be upheld to a higher and more honest standard of practice.

We credited the account 20% towards your October payment back on 10/19/22. Your next service is scheduled on 2/17/23.       Contract is for quarterly service with monthly charges. Promises to knock down nesting, service for pest control. Only on my last service was all of this done. They spend less than 10 or 15 minutes, walk through yard/house and spray and leave. Absolutely NO pest control. Pests are as bad and at times worse following treatment. Not months later, but there is never a reduction in pests. I have had to call them more than once to retreat and still no change in service or impact of service. They refuse to let me cancel because they say I have to pay for my last month before they will. Otherwise they will continue to charge month to month. I have been calling and on long holds, I have emailed, and text to request cancellation. All they say is I have to call (and stay on hold) until today 12/16 when I got through to someone. They say I have to complete my end of the contract yet they never fulfilled there end. There was ZERO pest control from them even when they were called back out. Now they threaten to make me do month to month until I pay them for last month even though I have been trying to cancel for several months and they HAVE NOT effectively treated and I have complained about this often. This company is horrible and does not fulfill their end of the contract.

      In order to cancel, it must be done with an account manager over the phone as that is standard with any customer. Since that phone call has been placed, the account is now closed. There was a history of some past due payments, which resulted in RIDD not being able to service the home on schedule or be able to come out for free reservices all the time. This may have resulted in some increased pest activity. The contract did end in December, and our of good faith, the final December payment has been waived and the account has been closed.
