      Scam Alert. Continue to overcharge each billing cycle after a move. Don't know how to set up proper service.

      I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding the sales practices used by your door-to-door representative who enrolled me into a contract with ************************* the time of signing, I was misled about several key terms: I was not informed that equipment and service would be billed separately. I was not advised that I had only 30 days to cancel my service. I was told that I would not be responsible for any payments until three months after installation. I was assured that I could cancel my service at any time without penalty.

      I was an ADT customer who made the switch with the promise of buying out my ADT contract. Fast forward, my buyout was denied for "not being approved at the point of sale", whatever that means. I'm feeling ripped off and want action. Do not buy one of their systems. They are deceptive in their sales practices.

      Absolutely nightmare of an experience. 3 hours dealing trying to cancel service when equipment is fully paid off. Can barely understand our loyalty specialist *****. Stay far far away from this company. There are plenty of other security companies

      If there was less than a one star i would give vivint at this point a no star. Vivint has mislead me and now my service has been interrupted with no notice for about a month. I have tried for the past 3 month to speak to a supervisor or management and I keep getting the running around. This has been a nightmare for me. I have been a loyal customer for so long and this has been on going for to long. I am a widow with small children and no service. Very sad and disappointing.

      Just a couple months after initial install sensors started falling off and others weren't connecting properly. When I called to have the install person come out to fix the issues they told me there would be a charge. Told me they'd send new sensors, for a fee. Thousands of dollars for a brand new system and they won't come out to fix their poor installation... go with another company. ******** customer service.

      These CROOKS!I do like the cameras, but I had ADT and I did not want to be in a contract and they said there would be no contract and all I would have to do is pay for the equipment. I call them to cancel and not only now they say it is a FIVE YEAR contract!! Why would I leave ***'s 3 year lower monthly service contract with a $1800 cancellation fee to go to a company that has $2600 equipment paying more monthly for 5 years that totals over $4500. So essentially over 6300. Just bogus. Never even turned the alarm on.

      Wish I could leave no stars. Tried cancelling multiple times. First time I was told I would not be billed and to call the next week to make sure the cancellation went thru. My account did get charged and the next person I spoke with had no notes I had called the first time. Incredibly hard to understand and I kept having to ask them to repeat. All they wanted to do was give me deals which sound like the same thing over and over. Finally got to the cancellation process. They were making it difficult to understand on purpose. I got an email showing cancellation approved on 8/15 which was over a week after calling the first time. And now they have charged my bank account again. Im not arguing with them again. Im DONE and Im getting my $ back.

      I'll second everything all the 1 start reviews have stated, but I'll try to lend some help. You need to send an email to documents[at]vivint.[com] obviously remove the brackets. The biggest "gotcha" is they need to be able to pickup the equipment which is impossible if you didn't know this before selling your home (in my case).Finally, for those getting charged still, email the cancellation notice and show a copy to your bank. They'll fight the charge on your behalf. They can even block the *** for future charges.

      This worst service ever I been with them for 2 months and my cameras been messing up the whole time than get on the phone with them its no help at all. Im bout to go back with ADT soon
