I had the exact same experience as many other posters here. My daughter's car broke down on the freeway and we went through roadside assistance to get a tow. Jewel towing came back saying they could be there in 45 mins to an hour and 15 mins so we went with them. But they never showed up. We couldn't stay with the car as it was on a narrow stretch of the freeway but I was getting regular updates from my insurance company that the tow hadn't been completed yet. Hours later we received a call from the highway patrol asking us if we planned to move the car. When I called Jewel the guy told me that it wasn't their fault because they only had one driver that day and he had been far away on a tow. So i asked him if he hadn't been honest in his estimate of when they could arrive if they only had one driver who was far away. The *************** up on me.Jewel's Towing LLC

****: I'm sorry your experience was not great with us. I apologize for the inconvenience with your vehicle that day. We did have our driver held up on a previous job and we could not longer meet the time that we originally promised due to our availability of drivers in that area. In these cases the roadside companies re-assign the job to another company who can complete the job in a timely manner. If it is a busy day then sometimes it is difficult for the roadside companies to secure service with their in network providers in a timely manner. I show that this call was cancelled so that faster service than what we could provide could be reassigned to another company.Review fromAmanda M

My recent encounter with Jewels Towing left me deeply disappointed and frustrated. After my car broke down and required a tow, I endured an agonizing 10-hour wait for Jewels Towing to deliver my vehicle. Throughout this ordeal, there was a complete lack of communication, forcing me to constantly contact my insurance provider for updates. However, each time I called, they kept reassuring me that the tow was imminent, claiming it would only take an additional ***** minutes. Despite their excuses, which ranged from a broken-down truck to prioritizing other calls and even assisting in a car wreck, the promised arrival time continued to be pushed back. It's infuriating that instead of being upfront about their inability to assist promptly, they chose to string me along with false promises. If they were too busy to fulfill the tow, they could have easily called my insurance provider to cancel, allowing me to seek assistance from another provider. However, they neglected to do so wasting my whole day. When I finally I received confirmation that my car was on its way, I was informed the driver had to drive slow due to neck pain. This level of negligence and disregard for customer service is simply unacceptable. To make matters worse, when the tow truck driver finally arrived with my car, his behavior was shockingly rude. Instead of offering an explanation for the egregious delay, he dismissed my concerns and directed me to take my complaints to dispatch. Such dismissive and disrespectful behavior only added insult to injury, leaving me utterly disillusioned with Jewels Towing's professionalism and competence. In conclusion, I strongly advise against entrusting your vehicle to Jewels Towing. Their abysmal service, coupled with their disrespectful treatment of customers, is indicative of a company that lacks the basic courtesy and competency needed to fulfill their obligations effectively. I apologize for the frustration you had the day your vehicle required a tow truck. This was an out of ordinary extremely very busy day. If we can not make an *** we notify your roadside assistance. They will attempt to secure service with another company. You are correct. It is more courteous to allow other companies to service a customer faster if a company has delays. However.. instead of cancelling on customers we will still offer service if the roadside assistance can not find another company in a faster timeline. This was the case this day we were asked by the roadside companies to help and our drivers limit was at their max. We did ask a driver to continue working when he would have rather go home to help in a crisis day. I spoke with this driver and his attitude could have been better. I understand when someone doesn't feel good they may not be in the most cheerful moods. This driver no longer is in the industry, but I am greatful that he provided little extra help on a busy day in order to reduce further delays.Review fromAngela J

I was in a bad car accident 10/11/23 and my insurance had Jewel's Towing come to the site. It took police almost 5 hours to arrive and *****, who was my tow truck driver, stayed with me the entire time and took good care of my car. He was very helpful and made it that much less stressful. I was injured in the accident and ***** and his dispatch helped me through the towing process really easily. Not everyone would have waited 4-5 hours to take a car and be that kind. Horrible towing company. My car sat on the side of the road for 3 hours and I called multiple times to get updates and every time the had some excuse as to why they couldn't make it. Their customer service was awful and in the end they had to cancel the tow.Jewel's Towing LLC

Sorry I do not see you in our system but sometimes we do get roadside assistance companies that cancel calls for reasons that are not known. Many times more than one company is assigned to the same customer and the result is a cancelation for one of the companies.Review fromPeterona M

Was quoted 120 min when they took the call at 6:00 am, they mentioned it wouldnt cost as much if they could get it in neutral so I went and put the keys in the gas tank. At 9:45am the *** was recalculated to 60 mins. I finally called at 11:30 am and they said my car was next to hang tight. At 1:45 pm I got the text they were in route, and informed they couldnt locate my vehicle at 1:55pm. They told me UHP probably towed it before they got there. After 24 hrs Of checking impound lot I called UHP and they tagged it at 6:45am for 48hr removal and they didnt tow it! Thanks a lot jewels towing for having me put my key in my tank cause you guys would be there within an hour NOW MY CAR IS STOLEN! Good looking outJewel's Towing LLC

We do ask customers to either meet back with keys or leave keys for us if we have a longer timeline to pickup a vehicle. It is a lot easier to tow a vehicle with a flat bed when keys are present. We had 2 different drivers trying to locate your vehicle one at a earlier time and one at a much later time because if a customer still has a need we will continue to try and help. I show a red ***** impala in our pictures in a parking lot near the freeway but not on the freeway. That is defiantly a frustrating experience I am sorry we were not able to locate your vehicle.Review fromFerdie B

Dont hire this company! I waited for 3 hours in the car and they never came. I was told an ETA of 2 hours. I waited and no one showed up. I called them up and was told to wait for another 45 minutes. No one showed up. I called them up again and i was told to wait for another 25 minutes. No one showed up. The lady on the phone was unapologetic and no customer skills. Hello ******: I am sorry you had to go through a horrible experience with getting your vehicle towed. I looked your name up in our system and it does show that we were dispatched on this call at 10:14 am on June 27th. Our records, time stamps and pictures show that a driver arrived about 2 hours later at 12:11 pm. but your vehicle was not at the address given. We submitted this tow request with your insurance as customer not being at the address given and was not able to get ahold of you at that time. Wait times for regular road side through roadside assistance can be longer than normal tow times. The roadside assistance company asked us to help, and even though a longer ETA was given at the time, it would have been the fastest time they could secure for you during that busy time. Many times roadside assistance companies dispatch more than one company for the same disabled vehicle. When we have longer wait times we try to offer unattended or ask if you would like a call when the driver is 20 min out to meet up at the vehicle. I show this was offered. Again, I am sorry you had a bad exprience. If a faster time of arrival is needed it is usually suggested that calling your own company and getting reimbursed if you have the means to do so will result in a faster time of arrival than having the roadside assistance companies send out towing companies. They do take longer to process everything and find a towing company than calling directly. I hope it's not needed to have roadside assistance in the future but if you do I hope you can have a better experience. You're welcome to call and ask for ****. I would be happy to try and make the process as smooth as possible if it's us or another towing company. Also, in severe situations if you ask your roadside for a supervisor, they can assign a manager to follow your case up till the very end to help you. That supervisor will be dedicated to trying to find a company to take care of you and make sure you get help.Review fromKROGER M
