    BEWARE. I have owned my Gen 1 heavyweight weight distribution hitch for less than a year. I am currently on my fourth hitch. Defective gauge, cross threaded main adjustment bolt, seized plunger, leaking hydraulic fluid are the main issues. I have taken multi state trips along with short in state trips. All ended in defective equipment. The company has covered these issues under (less at than one year) warranty. That means they will send you the replacement parts and have you follow a video to repair yourself or return the hitch unit with free shipping for repair or replacement with a refurbished unit. The weight of this unit is 47.3lbs. Two of the replacement units were defective right out of the package. I have repeatedly been in both email and telephone conversations with ***************** Their remedy for this issue is to continue to repair or replace the units under warranty. Which means I will repeat this process every trip I make. They also offered me an opportunity to purchase a new Gen 2 model for 50% off. The Gen 1 model was nearly $1300.00 so why would someone pay another half of that as a fix. They told me there was a no full or partial refund policy. As an added disappointment, I told them I had lost my lift bar for the hitch and they had told me given my circumstances with the hitch, they could just send me one. My next conversation with them was I could order one from their website for $40.00. I did my research on this product before purchasing and didnt find any issues posted. So beware, this product and company is horrible.

    I have now gone through two hitches in matter of a total of 5 - 6 tows each due to the scale failing! WS sent out a replacement the first time with no issue, now they will not replace it until I send the replacement back to them to repair which will take over two weeks and leaves me without a hitch for two weeks or more and unable to camp with my family. Very Disappointed in the product and support. When I expressed concerns with safety while towing, they stated, "just to eyeball it for levelness of the truck" another quote from support when I expressed how unhappy with having the same issues twice, I was they stated "At least we are taking care of you"
