    Initially loved this product for what it could do. Within one year of using, with proper care and always covering, the rust got to a point of having to resurface. *** now spent probably 12 hours trying to resurface this thing and still minimal progress. On reaching out to customer service, I was told oh thats not unusual, even our brand new products in boxes in warehouse rust..

    We are sorry to see this review. To clarify, we are posting what the agent said about the rust. Those griddle tops, since they are 100% raw steel, do have a tendency to rust naturally. We have actually been able to rust our units here in the warehouse completely in a couple of months. Unprotected, it may take only a matter of weeks. The steel can react with even the moisture in the air. Sometimes it can penetrate the surface of the seasoning just a little, but once it does, in can spread underneath the seasoning on the steel surface. That's why we have so many videos and products to help remove the rust! Even with the best care, it can still happen!When they mentioned the rusted product and our warehouse, they were referring to doing tests and rusting them on purpose. Strictly for testing purposes. This was not product in our warehouse that was being sold and shipped. We hope you have been able to fix your griddle plate up and start cooking again.     Griddle is awesome. I have bought three regulators, and every one of them does the same thing starts shorting my fuel to the burners I can understand one but three of them doing the same thing is ridiculous.

    Horrible customer service..The absolute worst customer service. They list on top of their site that they price match, which is UNTRUE. must read the small print! Many other companies to do business with that really care about customer service. ********************** Prducts are crooks and I will make sure that the word gets out. The $100.00 you refused to refund, will cost them thousands, in my negative reviews at my cooks in the end.Congratulations

This opens up an FAQ that explains multiple times it only applies to griddles on blackstoneproducts.com. A lot of times, our pricing is higher because we do not compete with our retailers. We also sell at MSRP, and some of our retailers import their inventory directly to their warehouses and get better pricing.It is never our intention to make you feel misled. We do our best to put as much information out there as possible. We hope you are still able to enjoy your griddle.

    Beware, they run Blackstone grills products, if your product comes defective they will only send you parts to fix it your self. If you want to ship back their defective product it will cost you more than half the price of the barbbque. **************** is nice but not willing to help other than , say its our policy, ship it back at your cost or they will have you fix there defective by shipping you parts crazy.. Grill was $999.99 and to ship it back was like ******* , though they shipped a defective grill. IF YOU BY THERE PRODUCT BUY ONLY FROM A LOCAL STORE LIKE LOWES OR ***********

    I purchased a 36" griddle from a local *************** and when I assembled it there was a bag of parts missing. The box was in pretty bad shape so I guess the bag fell out of the box. I contacted Blackstone customer service and explained my problem and they promptly sent the missing parts. Excellent customer service.

    My experience with Blackstone has been nothing but a headache! SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE AND DO NOT PURCHASE A THING FROM THEM. I purchased the 36'' griddle with hard cover and the 1 year warranty on June 22nd. The griddle got delivered on june 26th and immediately we could see the leg was damaged and unusable so we called customer service. We were told its a "warranty claim" which i dont understand HOW when YOU SENT IT TO ME DAMAGED!!! but okay file the **** claim, 5 minutes later we get an email saying the piece we need is on BACKORDER until the earliest mid to late august!!! so i call back and just want my money back i ask how to return it, their company policy is to have CUSTOMERS PAY TO SHIP THEIR DAMAGED PRODUCTS BACK TO THEM!!! Which would cost me another $200+ dollars. So fine I guess we wait until ******, i did call again and complained and they magically find the piece we need but its not black, whatever just send it to me. Well today 2 pieces WE DO NOT Need just got delivered and now their customer service center phones are down, how fabulous. I submitted several requests and am awaiting a response from their customer service team. All in all THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD!!! I am so upset i spent over $400 on a **** griddle and cant even use it. DO NOT BUY BLACKSTONE PRODUCTS!!!!! SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE, if there was a way to leave NEGATIVE STARS I would do that, they are not worth even 1 star in my opinion. TRASH TRASH TRASH

    I wish I had read these reviews before buying this *** griddle. this thing is absolute trash. hooked up the LP tank after the screws on the lid that connect the handles snapped off, and the **** thing started leaking LPG like there wasn't a connecting LP regulator. There is glue on the griddle. this is all from just unboxing the **** thing. Horrible experience with the product, and I cannot review customer service as they wont return any communication for about a week now. DO NOT BUY THIS *** Find another griddle maker. I implore you shop another manufacturer

    Stay away and never Buy a Blackstone. We bought a 4 burner griddle $400 last May from ******* a combined birthday gift for my husband. We used it maybe 6 times cleaned it nicely and used the metal cover it came with and winter cover another $40 to store for winter under an awning area as well. We opened it up to rust everywhere. Told by customer service that this is normal and to scrap it, sand it and buy a cleaning kit and reseason it. I will not be having my family eat off of rust. I will not be recommending this to anyone. We all chipped in for a nice gift and now we have scape metal I wouldnt even want to resell this.

    Thank you for taking the time to leave a review! We are sorry to hear the top rusted. As mentioned by our support team, rust can naturally happen since it is a piece of steel. This is normally caused by an issue with the seasoning or a long period of time without use. It appears the support agent you emailed sent you some instructions on how to remove the rust and get back to cooking. We have done extensive testing and found that this is both safe and effective. We hope you will reconsider cleaning it off so you can enjoy the griddle. Please let us know if you have further questions.

    Horrible grill, worse ***************** My grill was used last Summer, then cleaned, seasoned and covered with a Blackstone cover for the winter. I opened it up recently to find black mold spores(not only on the grill) .but all around the outside and down the whole unit. I called my son to check his, thinking I had a problem with mine) and his grill was full of black mold also. I had it checked and was confirmed black mold spores. This is dangerous to consume food on even after cleaned.Apparently, Blackstone sells Mold remover kits so they are aware Of this happening to their griddles. After contacting Blackstone, and sending pictures of this, I was advised by ********* CUSTOMER SUPPORT SUPERVISOR to reach out to to my local health official and wished me the best of luck proceeding with my AND my sons black mold infested griddles.I wish I had an option here to add the photos of both grills as I dont think anybody (even after using their mold removal kit) would consume food on these grills. If you ****** or you tube black mold on the Blackstone, they also advise you to use an N95 while cleaning it. I had a mitigation adjuster here to inspect mine and he had a respirator mask on. Not comfortable with this product and their **************** is not at all compassionate to the Consumer

    I purchased a blackstone griddle for over $300. I paid the company I purchased it from to put it together for me. I have used it approx. 10 times and the lid/hood paint started peeling off. I could take my fingernail and peel paint right off. It is obviously a manufacturing defect. Blackstone says they will send me a new lid/hood. If the lid/hood is peeling you know the rest of the grill will do the same. They should replace the defective griddle. I shouldn't have to change out parts. Poor warranty and customer service. I cant be the only customer this has happened to. It should be recalled and replaced. I wouldnt recommend purchasing a blackstone griddle.
