One of my breakers blew up and destroyed my breaker panel after the solar panels got activated. I called radix and had conversations with ****. **** had said sometimes when the first turn on the solar panels, they overcharge the house and theyll come out and fix it. A week later i hadnt received a phone call from the company so i called them and they had no answer for me. After a month and a half of calling and trying to figure out when theyre coming, they said they wont fix it so i argued with them and they said sorry. The next day i called back to talk to the boss and the lady said sorry i got it mixed up and they are going to fix it so she transferred me to her boss which was ****. **** said they feel that their solar panels wasnt the reason why my breaker blew up so they would like me to get a certified electrician to explain whats going on. The electrician couldnt pin point the cause so the vice president giggled and said well pay half. After the electrician left i called back since theyre horrible at making calls. **** said theyre company isnt the cause of that but they are willing to give me half of the bill. I said i appreciate that but i would like to talk to the vice president and give him the full rundown of this situation since he didnt know the full details. The vice president has not called me and i have not received any money. I dont care about the money but i do care about the how this company treats their customers. It was by far the worst customer service i ever had and i hope nobody else goes through the stuff i went through.Business Response

Hello!
I wanted to provide an update to this issue. Originally we sent one of our techs out to ***** the damages and they concluded that it wasn't our solar breakers that caused the melt. We wanted to make sure the homeowner could have an independent electrical professional come out and verify to which they couldn't determine what cause the melting of the panel. Due to this, we decided to offer to pay half of the costs for what it would take in order to fix the issues as a sign of goodwill even though we couldn't figure out what caused it to happen. We are working with the customer to fulfill on this as the repairs have already been completed. Thank you.

On Nov. 2022 we agreed with Radix Solar to have Solar put on our home. A new roof was put on and then solar panels, Since that time, nothing has been done to hook solar up for usage. It is now Sept. 2023 and the finance company Dividend has taken two payments out of our checking account without our knowledge or consent. We have called them and informed them that our solar has never been finished and won't pass inpsection to hook the solar to the power.. So we are paying not only this finance company but our Electric company aso. I am a retired Disabled Veteran and on a fixed budget. The Solar company has not done anything to hook up the solar, they won't call back to inform me what is going on and we were never given a contract or signed any paperwork and they have broken all their promises and never finished the job that we were told they would do and we are paying money with no results.Business Response

Hello!
We have been in constant communication with the homeowner to make sure we kept them in the loop as we work towards finishing their project. We have been working extremely hard in the background to get the system finished and are currently awaiting the Final Inspection. We do have a process in place where we are happy to reimburse the loan payments that are made up until the system is activated. All we need are copy of the bills and we will take care of the rest. We are doing everything that we can and will keep the HO updated as we move along. Additionally, we are happy to send any paperwork that is needed, all we need is for a call to be made to ###-###-#### from the HO to let us know what paperwork is being requested and we will send it. Thank you.Initial Complaint

I was approached by Radix at my front door. I had been promised lower cost for installing Solar Panels. My wife and I were in contact with a representative from Radix daily, weekly and so forth. My wife and I were waiting for our roof to be replaced due to hail damage. Once our roof was completed by our insurance company, the solar panels were up that same week. We use APS in Arizona. Our Panels have been up for over a month, yet nothing has been hooked up? Why the rush, text messages, phone calls daily, then forgotten about the day the solar is attached to our roof? It was only supposed to take two weeks, not six weeks and counting. Why don't they just come back and take off their solar panels and fix my yard instead of having an open pit for so long!
It's not Buyers Remorse, it's people that cannot finish a job, blame others, and drop the ball when they say one thing and never complete the job in the first place. Calls have been made numerous times, yet six weeks will turn out to be seven, eight, nine, ten and so on. Maybe I should seek representation.Business Response

Hello!
Upon reviewing the account for the ******'s we were able to determine what needed to be done to complete the project and move it towards receiving Permission to Operate (PTO). Our Utilities team and account managers are aware of what is needed in order to complete the project. We will continue to work behind the scenes to get this completed as quickly and efficiently as possible and provide updates as we continue to receive them. Thank you.

I am rejecting this response because: After sending my complaint to the BBB, my wife and I filled out the same Docu Sign for APS and the solar company. Nothing was added, nothing was different on the Docu Sign. Same paperwork with a different date attached. Our Solar still hasn't been turned on, and we still have yellow tape along with a hole in the ground for the past seven (7) weeks! No notifications on when this will be completed! I've seen on TV about customers waiting months and needing to contact a lawyer! I'm wondering if my wife and I will need to do the same! So much contact to get the solar on our roof, once up, No Contact, No Follow-up, Nothing!

Hello!
We have scheduled a technician to go out to the property and get the trenching filled in and the yellow tape on 9/11/23. Additionally, we have been working with APS to get the paperwork submitted properly, there was some confusion with APS and what exactly was needed, which is why the paperwork had to be resigned. Things have been cleared up and we are working to move this forward as a high priority. We are placing pressure on APS to get this completed as soon as possible.

I am rejecting this response because: The confusion regarding all of the paperwork which was signed on DocuSign was the same information only with different dates. No confusion on our part, (The Customer) yet APS stated that instead of receiving a KW rating of .008 and changed to KW rating of .007 after September 1st, 2023. So, our solar panels, without ever being active along with the numerous DocuSign on separate dates have already depleted any higher rating due to no follow-up. Pretty soon, APS will have a Kilowatt Hour at 001% and having solar will not be needed. In Arizona, our Solar Power should be free. By the time our system has been activated, I believe that there will be no savings or reasons to have it. This has been eight weeks of waiting for APS, yet if I needed APS to turn on power to my home, they'd be at my address within two Business Days. DocuSign was sent from Radix over and over again, and APS doesn't need to respond due to lack of funds that will be given from us to them. I honestly do not see any Priority from Radix, seeing how it looks like week Nine, they will clean up the mess in our front yard, and yet still no activating date. Each week a response, then another response rejecting the last response. Every week is adding up, and still nothing accomplished. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that nothing is being done, only words exchanged back and forth! When does this actually have an outcome? When do people actually do their jobs? So, I will probably receive yet another response, only to be at the same point my wife and I were at, at week One!

Hello,
I understand completely where the HO is coming from, not having the correct expectations going into someone as monumental as this can be frustrating and difficult to understand why. There are a lot of formalities that go on behind the scenes with getting designs approved, permits, coordinating with APS and the county, and making sure we are doing everything correctly to get the system activated. There are constantly a lot of moving pieces with communication between multiple different companies in order to get to the finish line. The most recent update I have received is that we need design revisions in order to get them approved. That is currently with our design team and they will keep us updated in order to provide the most accurate information. We will keep in contact and ensure there are multiple eyes on this project. Every so often there is a miscommunication between departments and we are constantly working on improving our processes in order to avoid any delay. The solar process takes time, typically a couple of months on average to get a system activated after install, that is an expectation that should have been relayed. We have multiple eyes on this project to make sure it moves forward as quickly and efficiently as possible and will update the HO as much as possible. Thank you.

I am rejecting this response because: It's Been Nine Weeks! Just come Take Your Solar Panels Off of Our Roof! Two weeks, not Nine weeks and counting! Seeing how you aren't putting your System on Correctly, How do you stay in Business? More reasons to shake a stick at and even more excuses! I am tired of the failed promises, not adding it on correctly, losing money even having solar on our roof passed all Deadlines. Your company is awful! Come and take these solar panels down! Your business is not whom you said that you were. Your company has continued not to achieve anything you said would take place. If I need a Lawyer, I will get one! Cancel Everything! The neighborhood keeps asking who this company is, and I tell them Radix! It's like a standing joke about how long it takes for a company to deliver on what they say and do! I will see how I can get a deposition started and I want your company to pay for all of my legal fees! The BBB is not helping the victim, which is my wife and I, it seems like they just keep kicking the can down the street! Come Get your Failed installation off of my roof and don't bother anyone in my neighborhood on your failed promises! I should share all of my notes, discussions and lack of concern on Twitter, Facebook and all other avenues I can. This is a complete Joke!

Hello,
After reading the responses from the HO, in regards to removing the panels unfortunately the panel removal process would be a tens of thousands of dollars undertaking that would have to be discussed if that is something they want to explore. They did sign a contract and we are obliged to follow that, including what the cost of panel removal would be for them. I understand the frustration with timelines and the issues that they have experience and once again want to assure that we are doing everything that we can behind the scenes to get this activated. We care about our customers and we want them to have a good experience, I truly believe that if the timeline expectations would have been set properly this would have been something we all could have avoided. We are working on making that processes better. Mistakes happen and I know that is most likely what happened with the tagging of the system and I apologize that those mistakes did happen, we will continue to work with APS to make sure that we can get this done properly and activated as soon as possible. Thank you.

I am rejecting this response because: APS was at our home on 9/18/2023. I was outside talking to APS personally and she told me that there wasn't any items tagged in both boxes nor any WIFI hooked up in order to check each panel with our phone that was promised. The only reason that Radix Solar new about not tagging both boxes nor having the WIFI box is because my wife first called Radix at five minutes to five o'clock on 9/18/2023 and wasn't able to leave a message, so she had to send an email out. My wife said that someone would come out today 9/20/2023 to add what they forgot to add, and as of 1325, no one has shown! APS stated to look at all of the reviews regarding Radix, and for the life of myself, I cannot understand how Radix Solar is still a A rating company? As far as cost(s) for taking down the unit, saying tens of thousands of dollars, I find that full of crap! All it is, is yard art on our roof. Radix Solar couldn't even tag either box or add the WIFI after TEN (10) weeks of the solar being on our roof. APS stated that they report to the FCC and need to follow up on everything they do, and that the Solar companies are Not regulated by anyone! The lady from APS stated that she understands why I am on the BBB, yet she stated to use Facebook about our troubles with Radix Solar and she stated that if they still sit on their hands for much longer, to contact the Attorney General. I've read horror stories on-line regarding Radix Solar. I'm not going to be a victim! When you say that you're going to do something, do it! When you tell us, the buyer that times would take place, make sure you complete the time you stated it would be completed! I (We) know what we signed, and we know what you promised. Everything that you said would take place, has not taken place. How can something be worth tens of thousands of dollars when nothing works? If needed, I will contact the Attorney General, and show them the time line stated! It doesn't say 10 weeks and counting, it stated 14 business day!

Hello!
We had one of our technicians go out to the homeowners house yesterday afternoon and they were able to complete the labeling that was needed and make sure that the cell kit was installed. I will include the pictures that were taken of the work being completed and we will continue to move forward with APS to get the information processed through them as well. I would love to see what the homeowner is referencing with the 14 business days. I tried looking through the contract and I will include the only timeline that was in there which was the time to install. We will continue to update the customer and utilize the opportunity we have to do better. Thank you.

I am rejecting this response because: Radix Solar only new of their mistakes from information received by my wife to them from APS on a text message. Radix Solar is Undependable, Irrational, and never gets in contact with us, the Home Owner. I heard that the Managing Secretary hates to talk on the phone and is very unprofessional! We were told 14 days, constantly! I want to see how it would cost Radix Solar tens of thousands of dollars to remove the solar from our home? Just another made up cost. No oversight, no photos of the many times coming to our home for not filling the hole that was exposed for over a month. Ten weeks to add tags on both boxes, then after requesting the plans and permits over the phone, the following day they were finally in our box 9/21/2023 for the APS. It's like we (The Home Owner) needs to hold Radix Solar's hands every step of the way. Radix Solar doesn't know what needs to be done! We need to constantly send them what we need to pass. We have been doing all of the work. If they say it will cost tens of thousands of dollars doing this piss poor job, then I believe that we (The Home Owners) should be given $50,000.00 for putting up with this business! No Actual Business Practice, No Oversight, No Correspondence, No Supervisors, No Job Plans, No Guidelines, No Rational Thinking, and I could go on and on! I feel sorry for their driver Mayco. He has been the only person with any professionalism status. He drives an older van that doesn't even have air conditioning, and he even expressed to Radix Solar about no Air Conditioning and they won't add it or fix it! Arizona had unhistorical heat this past summer! If they do not take care of their own, Does the Better Business Bureau really think that they take care of their customers? Is the BBB a paid for entity from each business? Pay higher fees to make a company have a "A" Rating even though they should warn the public as Radix Solar should be given a failing "F"? Radix Solar is the worst company I've ever seen!

On Thursday August 11th a representative from Radix knocked on my door and asked about my pgande bill. I was fine to hear about solar. He said his partner Trey E****** could speak further with me. I said ok but not that night because my husband wasnt there and i was busy. I recieved a rext later asking if my husband was home.I did not reply. The next night the rep was yelling my name at 8;30pm asking if i was busy. Even though he was super rude i said i would speak with his colleague Trey E******. I repeatedly asked Trey how long would i have to sign for. He lied and said you only sign for a period of 25 years if you are buying the panels. Wich i wouldnt be buying. I went through some paperwork and he had a email sent to me.He took MY phone from me and was talking and scrolling fast through the paperwork and initialing with his hand my initials. I never physically did the initials myself. We then get to a part that says i will be paying for 25 years.I found out he lied and i said i will not finish the contract. I am now concerned he forged my initials and final signature to complete the contract. My husband does not appreciate someone late at night yelling for his wife knowing hes not home. Then saying he doesnt need to be there to make the decision. I never want them to come to my home again and i want a call back from the company. I already emailed Everbright financing explaining the situaton. I want to make sure he didnt forge anything.Very shady business.Business Response

I have a no soliciting sign. After their sales knocker knocked, I answered and told him no. He would not leave my front porch. He also kept telling me I'm not the homeowner and he needs to speak to the real person in charge. Pretended to be with PG&E. Two hours later, 8:50pm, he's back and knocking again, with another guy. This time my husband answers and said no.
I watch the camera, realize it's the SAME PERSON I've asked to leave my property. I go and ask the two kids for a card, who their boss is, they refused to give any information. Ridiculed me and told me I should be back in bed. He refused to give me his supervisors contact information, in front of multiple neighbors. He claimed he owned the business. There is no contact # number or any info that they are here locally to complain.
Please stop these people. Isn't it illegal to impersonate a utility company?Business Response

A salesman named ***************************** at Radix Solar pressured me to sign documents on line that I was un able to read first. Radix didnt answer any of my calls to cancel the contract today. I called EverBright (the company name on the contract screen) I finally got a hold of EverBright and they had me send emails stating I was terminating the contract. I eventually spoke to **** at Radix who told me I had to cancel with yet an another company named Empower. I have called and emailed them also and was told they dont have a project yet. I want confirmation from ***** and ************************************ Im now told is to be the installer) and EverBright that any and all contracts have been canceled and were canceled on time! There were several unscrupulous tactics used to make me comfortable including saying he was networking with my current Solar provider. I have spent my entire day trying to resolve this. Seniors need to be warned against such tactics and these companies and the convoluted number of companies they work with. I was told by **** at ***** that if I had canceled with ********** the contract hopefully has been canceled, but that he was powerless to do anything other than to speak the salesman. I am unsatisfied with the help to resolve this by all companies named above. I was unable to get satisfactory answers from all parties. Each company claiming they are powerless and to contact someone else, all of which have 800 #s that rarely are answered and hold time music until they then cut off my call.Business Response

Hello!
I spoke to this homeowner in regards to their account and explained the cancellation process for them. As their account is with ************************ and not Radix, I was unable to look up their account in the system. However, after speaking with the homeowner they informed me that they had contacted their loan servicer and cancelled their project, at which time Everbright informed them that they would reach out to Empower on their behalf and cancel their account. The salesman is an independent contractor and I have made sure that the proper leadership has been notified of this situation and that it will be handled internally by the team. Once Everbright was contacted and informed the customer that their project was cancelled, everything would have been closed out. Any communication about the cancellation would have to come from Empower/Everbright. Thank you for your time.

A Radix/RDX employee knocked on my door on 7/19/23 in the evening. I was home alone and opened the door (where I have 2 No Soliciting signs) and promptly said “no” & shut the door. He raised his voice and implied he was there on behalf of PG&E. I opened the door again & he stated he needed to see my smart meter so I again shut the door to call PG&E to verify. I walked 3 rooms over because he continued yelling through the door for a minute or 2. This was scary to me & PG&E stated no one should be at my house and to call the police because she could hear him yelling at me.Business Response

A representative of Radix/RDX Solar came to my home on June 23, 2023. I clearly told him I was not interested in purchasing solar products, and he refused repeated requests to leave. He also refused to fully identify himself, instead attempting to escalate the situation into a verbal confrontation by making insults and unlawfully remaining on the property.

I have a clear NO SOLICITATION sign on my front door. The salesman ignored the sign and rang my doorbell. I told him I was not interested and he was insistent on trying to get me to stay engaged in his sales pitch. I finally had to close the door on him. This is extremely frustrating when these companies ignore these posted signs. I am considering legal action as I have had it with these door to door salesmen.Business Response

We have a "no soliciting" sign clearly posted on our mailslot inches from the front door. A very aggressive, rude, cocky salesperson came to the door wanting to discuss solar panels. I was in the middle of working and explicitly said NOT INTERESTED. He wouldn't leave so I had to shut and lock the door. Even if they were the last solar power broker on the planet it would be a hard "no" based on the utter lack of respect from this representative of their company. To add to an already annoying interaction there is no info at all regarding a local outpost of this business. Train your people better. Gross.Business Response

I have taken the zip code of where the complaint originated from and determined the team working in that area. I have been in contact with the managers and have made sure that better training is conducted. We will also make sure that no one goes back to this area. Thank you.
