I am a retired widow , senior citizen living below the poverty line. In June, 2022 I was approached by ****** at RDX to discuss installing solar panels through Titan Solar and financed through GoodLeap. During the meeting ****** was informed of my financial situation and assured me that would get $1000 from the **************** & $10,000 from the ****************** as an incentive for going solar. I had 18 mos to collect & apply to the loan to keep my loan at $138 rather than $185 it would increase to then. I was assured this was all I would pay & could budget accordingly. Extra elec would be credited. He failed to say that it would only pay for the $100 delivery costs from APS. I then read it was a tax credit and I have no tax liability. I explained that to ****** who said it would be as he said. It wasn't & though ****** said he'd make it right, he now will not & I may lose my home. He also stated he thought I had assets that I could use to create a tax liability. That is my 401K that is the only money I have to live on for as long as God allows me to live. This was definately an example of predatory sales and abuse to a senior citizen. He was very careless with the *********** will eventually make me homeless. In addition, my solar power lever keeps shutting off and is now costing me the loan payment plus the full amount of electricity used and Titan Solar can't come out for a week.

      Hello!

I have been in contact with ***** and we have come to a place where we can help get everything taken care of as far as the tax liability and her tax credit. We are currently waiting on the *** to finalize the rules for the transferring of the *** tax credit and then we can begin the process of getting that credit to *****. They said they will have that finalized by the end of Q2, so we will follow up until we see anything. I am also going to be in contact with Titan solar to work on making sure she gets the replacement switch and working on reimbursement for that. I will continue to monitor the progress of these solutions and keep in contact with ***** going forward.

      Thank you,

I am rejecting this response because:

While I am happy to see that RDX is working to resolve this issue and appreciate it, I don't wish to close this complaint until the resolve actually occurs.

      Sincerely,

      ***********************

Absolutely, I understand the desire to keep this complaint open and am willing to do what I can to make this a reality. At this time ******************** for resolution to occur via the **** timeframe, the best course of action would be to "close" this complaint and then re-open it if things for some reason do not get resolved. I would be happy to discuss this with you over the phone, but feel as this would be the best way for us to proceed.

My grandfather was coerced into getting a set of solar panels from a rep at RDX Power. The sales rep from RDX Power used the lower energy bill and a tax credit as his selling points. My grandfather is retire and no longer pays taxes, so the tax credit was useless and not explained thoroughly. RDX Power also sent a second sales rep out to sell my grandfather another set of solar panels. He is now financed for over $120,000 and paying close to $600 dollars a month. Over $200 more than his monthly power bill. This companys practices are predatory. My grandfather is 89 years old, hard of hearing, living off social security, and explained he didnt want to go through with this service. It is 8 months in and the solar panels still arent functioning. Please help!
