We had solar panels installed and now they are permanently closed. I’m trying to get a new roof but can’t get anyone to remove my panels. We were scammed to begin with when we got them. Just want to know the steps to take or what we need to do to get this fixed.Initial Complaint

We got these panels on 10/14/2020 and the saleman said that we would be basically eliminating our power bill and even supplying power back to the power company. 4 years later and my power bill is still the same each month and I'm paying $230/monthly for these panels. Whenever I was able to get in contact with anyone I was told that it would be 3-6 months before a technician could come out. Now the company is out of business and I was told by the financing company that worked with them that I needed to find another solar company and have them come out and see what the problem is at my expense. I did that and there isn't anything wrong with the panels, they just dont store enough power. I want to cancel this contract.Initial Complaint

We got solar panels installed in Nov 2020. We were told that based on our historical energy usage, with the solar panels we would have a low energy bill or no energy bill at all. We never came close to breaking even with our energy and now that we need the panels to be serviced, there’s no way to contact the company (Bello or Avolta) and yet we are still paying on the solar panel lease. I am writing to file a complaint against your company regarding a transaction that took place on Nov 2020. On that date, I signed up for a service with your company, which involved paying almost $120 a month for equipment that your company committed to providing and maintaining. However, I am highly dissatisfied with the service/product provided, and I am still awaiting a resolution to this dispute.
The nature of the dispute is that the equipment provided by your company has not been working since it was installed. Every time we call or try to get an update, we hear nothing back. This has been going on for months, and despite repeated attempts to contact your company, no satisfactory response has been provided. As a result, we have been paying almost $120 a month for equipment that does not work, and this has caused a lot of frustration and inconvenience.
Furthermore, I have a loan of $25,000 that I took out to pay for this service, and I am unable to pay back the loan since the service is not being provided. This has caused a lot of financial strain on me and my family, and I demand that your company takes responsibility for its actions and provides a satisfactory resolution to this dispute.
I have already spent a considerable amount of time and energy trying to resolve this issue, but your company has shown no regard for my time or my concerns. It is highly disappointing that your company has not made any efforts to resolve this matter, despite the fact that we have been paying for a service that is not being provided.
I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with the level of service provided by your company, and I demand that this issue be resolved immediately. If your company fails to take action, I will have no choice but to escalate this matter to the relevant authorities.
I look forward to hearing from you soon and hope that we can resolve this issue in a timely and amicable manner.

After still receiving high power bills up to a year later and having Duke Energy come and check everything, we were told our panels weren’t producing. If I could give zero stars, I would. This company installed solar panels on my home back in 2020. One ********** after another occurred, until I called and threatened to pull out of the contract due to breach of contract. I eventually talked with the Director of Solar Operations (I wish I could recall the gentleman's name, but I don't remember). After a few "choice" words he asked for my commitment to allow the system to be completed by the end of April (2021). I allowed it because the panels were delivered, and they were on my back porch. The gentleman was true to his word and the system was installed by the deadline. During the time of my angst, I had asked the director to have a critter guard installed. He had no issue obliging my request. He informed the project manager, and this was done. This was done AFTER the system was in place, but only by a couple of weeks. Now fast forward to 8/2022. I noticed a lot of bird feathers in my driveway and bird poop on the ground by my gutter down spouts (which are by the panel system). Since I’m an amputee and climbing ladders is a chore, I asked a neighbor to see if he could get on my roof to see if the critter guard was breached. It was, which explained the feathers, poop and an owl that perched itself on my roof at night. There was a free meal for the predator after the eggs had hatched. I’m saying all this because I called Bello upon discovery of breach. I got the “run around” from their customer (lack of) service and it went for over 5 weeks before I decided to call again.
