We purchased a new home from Woodside Homes on 12/31/2024. Solar lease or purchase via Sunpower was required. We chose the lease option. 5 months before we closed, Sunpower went bankrupt and Complete Solar took over. This was not disclosed to us until after we moved in. Since then, we have made multiple calls and emails to get our system activated and lease switch over. Due to delays on their part, we finally got permission to operate from PG&E on May 7. Complete Solar refuses to complete a needed site inspection prior to June 27 and this will be nearly 6 months from our home purchase. They also changed our lease terms and will not maintain the backup battery or guarantee it, which is a huge concern because technically we don’t own it either as it’s a lease. What happens if we sell our home in the future? We can’t make costly repairs to a battery we don’t even own. Finally, some of our neighbors received threatening letters from PG&E because their solar wasn’t turned on after 6 months and others say their panels are not producing the way that they are supposed. The builder even went with a different company for every home following ours. We are worried we have a costly and massively expensive lemon sitting on our roof and in our garage for which their is little to no recourse in protecting ourselves.

In December of 2024 we purchased a home with an existing Solar Lease with SunPower (Purchased by Complete Solar). We have not received any bills. After numerous multiple hour calls we have only spoken with a person once. During the conversations the representative told us they had our information, and they were working on it, but no bill has been received at this time.

Complete Solar was unable to find an account for this customer. The representative handling the complaint reached out to the customer and clarified that ******************** has only acquired certain business lines from ********. These lines include the Blue Raven Solar business, the New Homes business, and a non-installing dealer network. This type of contract for the customer does not apply to these businesses. The customer was given the details for the company that now manages the lease agreement.

COMPLETE SOLAR the company that installs and maintains the system for EVERBRIGHT (the company that collects the loan payments). After a six month delay in connecting the system to National Grid, the roof began to leak through the screws that hold the panels in place. Since then, there has been no prompt response to resolve the problem. And the numerous leaks continue. To date, no action has been taken after several emails during three months regarding the issue.

Various attempts to contact via phone and email not returned.
Had to Hire a third party solar guy to take a look at my roof.

I wanted to install solar panels at our house. We signed an agreement July 20, 2023. It took Complete Solar until October 8th 2024 to get the solars up and running. The solar panels are not producing the energy we were promised they would be producing. We even bought and extra panel for a future electric car. We were told that we would be making more than enough to power our house and the electric company would be buying some of the power produced by the solar panels. We were told that we should only be paying the taxes to the electric company. In fact, my electric bill is still around the same amount I was paying before the solar panels were installed. I have tried emailing several people from the company and none of them will return my email. They go by Complete Solar but also My Smart House. I was contacted by a company called Omnidian emailing that they were monitoring my solar panels and they were not producing enough energy. They told me I needed to use a hose to clean the panels on the second story roof. This is the first month that they are on and operating, they want me to try to go fix the problem or hire another company to fix the problem. I just got them and they are not working. Complete Solar needs to fix the solar panels so they produce the amount of energy they are supposed to. I do not want to pay for the solar panels until I know they are working properly. I don't want to pay a huge bill from the electric company as well as a solar panel payment. As soon as they turned on the panels, another company Everbright started to want a payment. I called and spoke to them and they said that Omnidian should be fixing the under producing solar panels and they filed a complaint in their own company. Nothing happened. I emailed Omnidian again and they continued to say that it is my responsibility to go and clean them. It is the first month of use and they are not working. They need to fix it and I should not have to pay until it is working properly.

On March 6, 2025, a representative from Complete Solar's ********************** spoke with the customer and found that their production expectations did not align with the terms of the executed Everbright agreement. Complete Solar will work with the customer to identify the reasons for this discrepancy and address any issues that are discovered.
