My best friend and I have been looking for a new place to live for some time now, and when we finally found something we liked, we made an effort to be the first ones to see it and first ones to apply. Upon applying, we’re then told we couldn’t rent the space due to not being blood relatives (this wasn’t posted anywhere on the listing, nor was mentioned to us until it was time to apply). Upon making a bit of a fuss, we were able to find another property listed by the same company, with a similar floor plan. The LISTING from the real estate company said move in date would be April 1st. We then toured the unit, and told the company we’d take it and to move forward with the application. We went into their offices and signed documents needed by the company before signing a lease. Seeing this was moving forward, we notified our current landlord (with a months notice was our lease agreement before moving out) that we would be moving out at the end of March. As they were drafting our lease contract, I receive a text from them saying the place wouldn’t be available until April 12th. Tho frustrating, we found some accommodation with friends until the 12th when we could move in. They then inform us yesterday March 28th, that the tenant decided not to leave until MAYBE the end of April… Once I express my frustration, they tell me that this is a contract sale, not a new lease. Again, NONE of this had been communicated. And now my friend and I are unable to find anything for the month of April and will be left homeless. How can a real estate company get away with messing around with other people’s lives? I expect them to figure out a solution for the interim. Currently, the posting says the space is available for April 5th (see attached screenshot) and compared to the second screenshot where the company TEXTS ME that April 5th isn’t going to work… How can they falsely advertise a move in date???

We rented a not up to code house with sulfur and lead rusted pipes from a crooked management company. This company would cancel maintenance requests, never answer our calls, and hasn’t sent us our refund. Our refund was supposed to be sent out august 30th and I still haven’t received it. I texted the receptionist and of course no answer. I had to call today when they told me I don’t get my money until October if it’s lost. How is that legal. I paid this money 2 years ago on time and it’s rightfully mine. I live in Orem and they are located in Provo they easily could cancel the lost check and drive a new one over. I paid my rent on time every month and this unprofessional behavior and seriously crooked is unacceptable
