12/20/2024. I parked at ********* ****** on Miami Beach, which is FREE PARKING, and this scam company sent me a fake ticket in the mail saying I owe $70 for unpaid parking. I have been going to ********* ****** every day for the past 10 years and you don’t have to pay to park there. In fact, there are no parking apps, no signs, no parking machines in that plaza, so how exactly can this fishy company send me a ticket saying I have not paid? We all need to get together and form do a class action against this company! If anyone wants to, I am down.Initial Complaint

On 11/29/24 I parked at a facility at **** ******** *** in Cleveland OH sometime after 5 pm and exited the facility shortly after 11 pm (the ticket I received indicated ok to park in the spot until long after midnight) - the cost was $8.00 which I paid at the machine by credit card after putting in license and spot number. On December 16, 2024 (today) I received a notice from Vanguard Parking Solutions indicating that I owed $59.40 "parking payment notice" and that failure to pay by 12/17/24 (next day) would result in collections, arbitration, or other legal action. For what? What violation? There is no indication what they are deeming the "violation". Furthermore, the notice includes an unclear photo of a vehicle with an incorrect entry time of 11:56 on 11/29 (at this time I was actually driving to the airport) and incorrect exit time of 6:18 pm. I'm thinking this is a SCAM or some sort of SHAKEDOWN attempt by this company, and is in no way legal. I did contact the number provided ###-###-#### and of course "no agent available". What is the recourse?Initial Complaint

I received a parking ticket from this company, despite me having paid for my parking. I have attempted to contact them to file a dispute, but no one answers. They state I have to email them, which I did, but I still have not heard back from them. I have proof on my bank statements that I paid for the parking. I have seen numerous reports online complaining that this company performs scams and sends people parking tickets without a valid reason. They need to be put out of business!Initial Complaint

I pulled into a parking garage managed by Vanguard Parking Solutions in Coconut Creek, Florida and I was not able to get the app to work to pay. I went up the stairs to the street to see if I could get better reception but I was not successful. I went back and moved my car to another parking facility since the payment processing app was not functioning. The whole process took 18 minutes. I received a payment invoice for $67.68 in the mail for 18 minutes of being in the underground lot. I reached out when I received the bill. It was dated 10/21 but I did not receive it until 11/5. When you call about the bill you can’t speak to anyone. You have to send a contact note. I did so on 11/6. I requested a more reasonable fee be charged. They refused to change it. I went in to pay the next day and they assessed a $42 late fee brining charges to $109.68. I sent another note and they agreed to bring the fee to $55 but it had to be paid that night 11/9. I was not at my computer that day so I could not go in and pay within the 24 hours. Now I am arguing with them again to resolve the situation. I am waiting for their response. This situation is highly suspect and the charges are excessive. No access to individuals is also unacceptable. Invoice*******. The responses came from *********************Initial Complaint

I used a parking garage in DC on 10/13/24. There was a large sign at the front of the garage that said the first 3 hours of parking are free. We parked for 2 hours, then left. I received a notice a few weeks later from Vanguard Parking Solutions saying that I owed them $58.30 after parking for roughly 1.5 hours, and if I didn't pay in 2 weeks I owed $125. (this is $29/hour parking rate!) I reached out to the customer service and explained that what happened. I received a curt response saying there was no sign and that I owed the money. Because I don't live in DC, I can't go take a picture of the sign. The email felt very scammy. After looking them up online, and reading through other user comments, it looks like this and other fraudulent practices are used in many states.Initial Complaint

We paid for parking in Annapolis, MD via the "ParkMobile App" for parking on July 12 & 13, 2024. The app worked fine. We parked 4 times in 3 locations (3 times on 7/12, once on 7/13). Two locations on 7/12 (Zones 8920, 8921) seem OK. Location 87306 is the issue. We were notified by our rental car company they paid parking fines for our vehicle for 7/12 and 7/13 for Loc 87306 to "Vanguard Parking Solutions" on our behalf and we owed our rental car company reimbursement which we were obligated contractually to pay. Original fees paid were $15.50 ($7.70 x 2). The reimbursement included fee, fine, late pay fee and administrative processing fee. We paid. I followed the dispute process which requires resolving with the issuing "authority," Vanguard Solutions who billed as if we hadn't paid ParkMobile (which we did and have credit card statements as evidence). When you call Vanguard's number they say you have to use their website and click an option. I did this but since the rental car agency already paid Vanguard to avoid further late fees, that call option won't/can't populate/show available (and my popup blockers were disabled). There is no way to talk with a person or chat online to resolve. While the original payments were both $58.30 (x2), by the time the rental agency paid, a late payment penalty was added and was now $85 x 2 ($170) to which the rental agency adds $30 per incident for a total of $215 (paid). I can't dispute because I can't reach Vanguard. When I tried ParkMobile website I found this statement: "Even if you received a ticket when you had a valid parking session, you must contact the parking authority. Parkmobile does not own, operate, manage, or enforce the parking areas. We do not issue parking penalties and we cannot review or remove them for you. We can confirm your session and payment but you must reach out to the parking authority for any ticket dispute or review." I am stuck with no obvious path for resolution to getting my refund.Initial Complaint

Parked in one of there lots in downtown Cleveland. They had a sign that just said $7 parking. Parked my car went to the kiosk which also didn't mention any time limitations nor stipulated any rules or regulations. Couldn't get a hold of customer service for weeks until today left a message on the company page and left a voicemail the manager of the company I'm with also called during those few weeks I couldn't reach anyone. They finally responded the employee that called me said they would call me back. But then I get an email from another employee stating they are the only one in the entire company that deals with disputes. And kept going back and forth trying to lie.Initial Complaint

Booted in 12/27/23 behind the infamous strip mall parking at Jimmy John’s. My fault as there are signs, but not directly in front of parking stalls. Was out of my vehicle for one minute before returning to find a gentleman booting my vehicle with my wife sitting in the vehicle. Yikes. He informed me of my infraction and insisted payment of cash or debit card. Even gave me the locations of ATMs….nice. I questioned paying with a credit card but he said that was not an option. Upon reviewing the carbon copy of the ticket, which he wouldn’t give me unless I signed it (?), the authorization says I agree to pay with a credit card. Credit card is mentioned a couple of times, not cash or debit. When I called and spoke with the Operations Manager he acknowledged the form was old, that the attendant should have authorized a credit card and that they encourage, not demand, payment via cash or debit card. After a bit more discussion the manager started getting salty questioning why I was worried about possibly getting .14c back in rewards on a credit card…..his math skills are lack as it’s $1.40. I regress. Politely informed him that their ticket allowed for credit cards and that my reason for paying with a credit card was no business of his. He stated their is too much fraud with credit cards, but I believe their may be too many disputes resolved not in their favor with credit cards.Initial Complaint

Issue occurred on 8/02/23 as shown in the ticket and receipt attached. My car was booted in the shopping center parking lot of the 4th south complex in Salt Lake City. I was accused of not shopping at the nearby center and left my car in their parking lot. However I was inside the Jamba Juice establishment that fit in the parking category for the lot. There was an issue inside the Jamba juice with them resetting their point of sales device before I could be charged for my purchase (purchase completed at 1:27 PM). I still had to pay the fee to remove the boot from my car ($75) before I could leave, even though I was still shopping at the designated shopping center that was included in the parking lot.
