I backed an Indigogo campaign for Daniel Swiss’s LightCam project and he’s been stringing us along for 6 years, and most recently claimed last May that the product had finally been produced and was being sent to backers. Per the campaign rules, I seek a refund for nondelivery. He has lied repeatedly and refused to refund backers.

We have paused fulfilling as we are working on rebuilding the software for the app. We have the cameras, and will ship as soon as we can. According to Indiegogo's terms we have as long as it takes to deliver. We are still working non delivering. We will do refunds after all backers who are still waiting for their perk have been fulfilled. All funds were long ago committed to this project and considering refunds would be disrespectful to those who are still waiting as it would slow or endanger the fulfilment of the product period.

I am rejecting this response because:

    1. I know that you have refunded other backers and I would also like my money back.

    2. I have no confidence that you will ever deliver and I consider 6 years sufficient time to prove that.

    3. Your last update to the campaign was last May, where you said, “We are now ready to begin shipping small batches to Presales and Backers as we are able to handle new users.” If you were really planning to deliver the product, or even really doing software updates, then you would have communicated that since then.

    Sincerely,

I ordered 2 LightCam from Paxi.com. Order # **** I received them after many weeks, but they were not fully functional. I notified them via [email protected] -telling them the cameras are not fully functional even with a computer engineer's help-and asked for return instructions. They emailed asking if I had searched for the listed app. I replied that I had and it didn't help. I then said I wished to return them for refund. I've never had any response since then although I continued to contact them by both email and text.

Unfortunately this customer had their product past the return period.

I am rejecting this response because:the order was "out for delivery" on January 20 2024.  I have the email .  I had been emailing Paxi for weeks asking for return instructions with no reply received.  Their site offers no return instructions.  I haven't had the cameras for even a month.

    Sincerely,

I backed the LightCam project in 2018 on IndieGoGo. To this date, the creator has been spotty and non-responsive to requests and has failed to fulfill perks. Thee have however, started selling this item on their own personal website under the name "Paxi". Their website claims to have 101 verified reviews. This tells me either the product has been created, but they are failing to fulfill backer orders, or they are continuing to scam people by continuing to sell, but not fulfill orders. The way they are managing their IndieGoGo campaign breaks IndieGoGo's following terms of use:Campaign Team Obligations (shortened, read the full TOU here: ***************************************************************)When you create a Campaign on the Site and ask for Contributions, you understand that you are entering into separate legal agreements with both Indiegogo and with your Contributors, and the following rules apply (in addition to all other Terms and Additional Policies). Make good faith efforts to fulfill the Perks associated with Your Campaign in the timeframe that You communicate to Contributors, and prioritize fulfillment of those Perks. Be responsive. Respond promptly and truthfully to all questions. Updates. Provide substantive and quality updates at least once a month to Contributors. Immediately notify Contributors if there are obstacles or delays. If you have received the Contributions from your Campaign, but are unable to deliver Perks, issue refunds to Contributors. Comply with Laws. Comply with all applicable laws and regulations in statements concerning Your Campaign and ****(s), the use of Contributions and delivery of Perks. Be Truthful and Transparent. Campaign Team Members should be ready, willing, and able to substantiate claims your Campaign makes, including but not limited to product features and capabilities, the stage of product development, and timelines for delivery with verifiable evidence if requested.

This company has fraudulently raised money via IndieGoGo. None of the products sold to clients were ever delivered. The same company has reopened in Utah under the name Paxi Lightcam. This website is also taking fraudulent pre orders for a product not to be delivered. The website clearly contains false and misleading (and incomplete) information to lure deposits for a non existent product. The reviews on the site are all fake and false generated on the same date range.
Refunds have been requested and unanswered. Complete fraud.
