      Wow, turns out Backstreet Surveillance and their manager are the real crooks you need to protect yourself against. According to my receipt from ****** they received a return shipment from me on "Feb 29, 2024 14:32," and signed off by a "JDANIELS." The return was authorized by the general manager who approved the *** and shipping label that was emailed to me.The system I purchased was shipped back within the 30 days. They've had it back for over two months and never refunded me the close to $900 I paid for it. Fortunately, my credit card company protects me against crooks and opened a claim against them which was just closed in my favor because Backstreet Surveillance never responded. In the time since they received the shipment, I made numerous calls to their "customer service" department requesting to speak with the general manager but they would never transfer me. Instead they would "take a message" or shuffle me around to departments that did not handle ***s. At one point the bookeeping department looked up my account and said there was a note attached to it that said "refund approved" and that I would receive an email notifying me of my refund. No such email ever arrived. This is a cautionary tale. Backstreet Surveillance is a disgusting company.

      Wish to heck I would have stuck with a simple system instead of spending $2,000. Their system is so **** complicated, you will need to be a rocket scientist to set everything! I have spent hours on the phone with tech support and still have a system which is pretty much worthless. My son told me to get the Wyze cameras for $50 each like he has used for years with no problems, but no I had to have a high dollar system. My mistake! these cameras are all ***** made crap!

      Hi *****, Sorry you are not satisfied. Before you start touting Wyse cameras you might want to actually try them. We replace hundreds of them every year. I Not sure what you are expecting for $50, but we assure you its not what you think. Your complaint is so vaguer I have no path to help you. We would love to help solve any issues but you left us nowhere to start. If you have a specific issue and would like help please give us a call we'll do our best to help. Side note: there is no contact phone number for Wyse cameras...you are on your own. With us you have unlimited lifetime technical support and managers responding to your complaints same day asking how we can help. But you are trying to get others to buy a $50 camera that provides zero *** support and is 100% Chinese's. Not sure you have adequately done your home work to make such recommendations.

      I worked through a complete 1st time installation for a video surveillance system using Backstreet Surveillance and they helped me with every step. I found their technicians not only knowledgeable but very helpful and pleasant to work with. I spoke with ****** on more than one occasion and he always took whatever time I needed to help me set up or program what I needed. If you are looking to DIY a surveillance system I cannot think of any other product or service company that offers the professional grade equipment and tech support than Backstreet.

      Upgraded from 8 y.o. system. All equipment worked right out of the box. NVR setup is super easy to connect to phone app. Cameras (60VB) very durable as fall from 12' onto asphalt did not damage a thing. Lessons learned: Used UV rated cable for outdoor use and solid *********** with 66 block terminations. Been a professional installer for years and found out via trial and error that ALL CAT 5 pairs must be connected to NVR and camera for operations to work. Outdoor camera mount (M5B) not waterproof so have some silicone ready to seal the seam. ******************* declares NVR front HD blinking red light is a normal condition. Really???? All industry standards say otherwise & it is irritating to see. Have some black tape ready to cover it.
