Purchased two *********** Tickets which was a total $130 approx with taxes to celebrate NYE in Crystal City VA This was a semi formal sneaker ball. We travelled from Baltimore Md to attend even booked a hotel stay at the ***** ******* which was$210.11 that’s where the event was taking place. My date and I bought attire for the event so that we could celebrate in style and have lots of fun. We got dressed only to be denied entry because my date didn’t have a jacket which was not clearly stated when these tickets were purchased. I spoke to an individual named ***** at the door and she made it seem like she was going to assist us but after waiting 30 minutes on the side while I watched others get their wrist bands she never came back to the door. I had to wait in-line once more to get to her to ask her what’s the resolution. This lady goes where’s your date I said he’s outside waiting just as I was. She says hold on goes back into the room where everyone was registering for entry and never comes back out. At that point I was beyond upset, felt invisible and taken for my money. I have never experienced anything like this before and that is why I decided to file a formal complaint. In addition we went to the lobby to eat dinner and witnessed several individuals gain entry without a jacket. Please make it make sense. We spent NYE in our hotel room after spending hundreds of dollars in preparation for this event. I pray that this never happens to anyone else.
