BOIP is the internet provider for my home. I was billed for services on 9/10/2024 and I have not had any internet service since 9/12/2024. I have made numerous calls and left voice and text messages requesting a call back. I have stated that I want to close my account and that I need to know how to return their modem equipment. I have not received any contact from this company since 9/16/2024. I am seeking your help to get this company to respond to my requests and to return the money paid for this months services not received.Initial Complaint

About 9 or 10 months ago we paid BOIP $500 for home internet service and $115 per month. We consistently lose signal or have a very poor connection, making it difficult to even run 1 device. Five, nearly 6 days ago we lost all signal and have not been successful to talk with any person or be given any information. I am requesting a refund of the $500 set up fee as we have not even gotten through 1 year of poor service and will have to pay a different provider for service.Business Response

We will process any internet service cancellation request and email cancellation confirmation, as soon as possible. This company provides internet. We lost connection 5 days ago, they refuse to tell us why. They refuse to call or text support. They will not answer the phones, they send you to a voicemail box for any reason (I.e. billing, new service, report an ************* support). They still want to withdraw our monthly payment but they are not providing said service. The customer requested cancellation as of 9/12/23. His internet service was canceled on 10/17/24.
We were running behind due to the large unexpected outage and being understaffed. The customer was not charged since he did not have service and requested cancellation. A support team member called him on 10/17/24 to let him know that his service had been cancelled and that his account had been closed.

This company did little to complete this request. My credit card company did it all. There is no proper excuse for BOIP to handle this situation the way they did.
We have parted ways; I did receive the credit for the three months of no service. My account is closed. I hope this is the end of our dealing with them.Thank you, BBB and Capital One.

My internet has been out for over a week. I have left numerous voicemails, emailed and texted. The only response I've received has been an automated text message stating that they apologize for the inconvenience, to please be patient and that they will provide an update when they have more information. I responded to the text message requesting to cancel my service and received the same message as a reply. They deducted funds from my account on 9/16. On 9/13/2024 our internet through the company **** went out. This has happened numerous times before and is always extremely hard to reach someone. We have been charged for this month and have yet to hear a valid update or from a live person. Only thing we have heard is automated response via text message. We have gone to office during open office hours and sat there for 3 hours with no one coming to the office. We have requested to have someone actually call us and timeframe for outage has we require this for work purposes and the money has been taken out of our account. This company has completely lost my respect. We have lost internet many times with their service (which we have had since Nov 2020) and while it was annoying, they had previously always gotten back with us and worked diligently to help us find a solution. This past time we lost service on a Thursday afternoon and after many, calls, texts, emails, and messages we got one text back letting us know they didn't know when a fix would be in place and to please not call them and clog up their phone lines. It's now almost 5 days later and still crickets, no updates or even common courtesy to answer their phone lines. I have had internet service with BOIP for the last 4-5 years. The service has been okay and I have experienced several outages, which I know comes with the territory. My complaint is that BOIP advertises on their website exceptional customer service with fast response rates. However, I have not experienced this. I am currently requesting that my service be disconnected and have received little to no response with this. No call backs, no returned emails, etc. When you call the company to speak to customer service, it rings twice and you are immediately sent to a voicemail. I have left at least 3 voicemails in the past few days and sent countless emails with no response. I am simply asking to cancel my service and requesting that I am no longer billed.Business Response
