They charge a 1350$ warranty transfer fee when selling your house that is not disclosed in the contract. They also over estimate how much the panels will produce and reduce your electricity bill.

Purchased a $36,000 solar system from this company in 2021. The system features a set of 3 rooftop solar panels and a storage battery. The system was purchased in May of 2021. The installation was completed 6 MONTHS AFTER PURCHASE! My wife and I are in our 70's and it just been hell! We filed a complaint in 2023 with the ******************************************** and after some time it was resolved. But here we are again. We filed another complaint today 6/26/25. This time one of the panels was offline and the storage battery was not being charged. We informed Green Brilliance of this problem in October of 2024. they FINALLY sent someone to check on or complaint 6 months later on the 9th of April 2025. The technician told a bold faced lie to my wife. Telling her that the battery does not hold a charge when the weather is too cold. Mind you we are both in our 70's and not technologically astute. When I found out what he said I was understandably upset. He also informed us that squirrels had damaged wires on the roof and that they would install a protection system to prevent further damage. That was nearly 3 months ago. We have called them several times as we are concerned about additional damage. But there has been no real response. The battery is still not functioning and is covered under warranty. They promise a replacement and this protection system...but the lip service they have done nothing. Our requests for information fall on deaf ears. This level of customer service is nothing less than shameful!

My experience with Green Brilliance has been incredibly frustrating and costly. About three years ago, I invested $28,860 in a 9.62 kW solar system, which was supposed to produce ****** kWh annually. I later learned that I paid a substantial premium above market rates for this installation. The real problems began on April 28th of this year when my system completely stopped generating power. When I reached out to Green Brilliance, their first response was to demand a $1250 "diagnostic fee." I challenged this charge, and they eventually agreed to waive it. Despite this, it took them 14 days from my initial service ticket for a crew to even show up on May 12th. Their on-site analysis was quick, lasting only about 30 minutes, primarily consisting of taking pictures from the roof. Two days later, on May 14th, I was told the issue was animal damage (squirrels chewing wires), which they stated was not covered under warranty due to it not being "workmanship related." On May 21st, I finally received their quote: a staggering $4850 for "System repairs, diagnostics, parts replacements & rewiring," and an additional $2650 for squirrel guard installation, totaling $7500. I was frankly shocked by this price and immediately requested a detailed breakdown of costs, which they refused to provide. To add insult to injury, they informed me that if I chose another vendor for squirrel guard installation, they would refuse to reinstall it for future repairs, effectively strong-arming me into using their overpriced service for something they never even suggested during the initial installation.Given their excessive pricing, lack of transparency, and failure to acknowledge potential preventative measures during installation, I cannot recommend Green Brilliance. They seem to prioritize getting paid over honoring their commitments or providing fair service.

The initial installation and the functionality of my solar panels from this company have been great. The system generates far more electricity than my home needs, so I make money on credits which helps to offset the admittedly steep installation cost. HOWEVER GreenBrilliance had no qualms installing the panels on a roof that had maybe 2 years of life left in it. So, now that I'm selling the home, I need to get the roof replaced. The price to remove and re-install the panels? $10,800!!! Around 3k more than competitors, but if you use a competitor is voids the warranty. So, unless you want your panels to be unprotected, you have to go with their highway robbery price. To put that in perspective, my roof costs 9k to replace. Their removal/reinstall service costs more than an entire re-roofing project. This is ridiculous. What's more, when we had a roof inspection done to prep for the home sale, it was noted that their installers had crushed every roof ridge vent, left random bolts and brackets, and improperly sealed screw/nail heads. When we took these inspection results to them, reasonably asking for assurances that if we took their ludicrously expensive remove/install quote that they wouldn't botch the job on what would be a brand new roof. They treated this like it was a legal battle, composing a document saying "we investigated ourselves and found no wrongdoing" on every concern we raised. So while the initial install seemed fine and the system itself works flawlessly, dealing with this company with anything outside of routine maintenance has been the worst kind of headache. Whenever you stand up as the consumer who has just bought a very, very expensive product, they dig in their heels and do everything to fight it out legally. Hey GreenBrilliance, maybe if you tried to, I dunno, make things right with your customers instead of trying to pinch pennies and fight legal battles, your BBB score would be better.

Thank you for your feedback Mr. ********************* glad to hear that your solar system continues to operate flawlessly and has provided exceptional energy savings and performance since its installation. However, we must respectfully clarify several misleading claims and emphasize that GreenBrilliance has consistently honored the terms and conditions of the contract you signed.

    1. Roof Condition at Time of Installation

At the time of installation in February 2023, your roof passed all required inspections and met the minimum standards for solar mounting. As clearly stated in Section 3 of the signed agreement, customers are responsible for the structural condition of their property, including the roof.

    The contract specifies:
GreenBrilliance is not responsible for any known or unknown Property conditions. You are responsible for the ongoing structural integrity of the location where the System is installed.
The decision to install solar panels on a 20+ year-old roof was ultimately your own, and GreenBrilliance cannot be held accountable for pre-existing or age-related roof conditions that arise years later.

    2. Claims of Roof Damage

Over the course of more than two years, there were no reports of leaks or damage submitted to GreenBrilliance.

Your concerns were only raised when preparing the property for sale and roof replacement.

Upon receiving the third-party inspection report, we reviewed all allegations thoroughly and provided a detailed response with original installation photos, which clearly show that:

    - Ridge vents were already deformed prior to installation.
    - No new structural damage was introduced by our team.
    - Small debris cited in the inspection (e.g., leftover hardware) does not constitute functional damage or negligence.

The roof was simply at the end of its life, as confirmed by your inspector.

We do not investigate ourselves; rather, we document and preserve every project step in order to fairly address any future concerns.

    3. Panel Removal and Reinstallation Fee

Removal and reinstallation of a full solar system during a re-roofing project is a complex and labor-intensive process, equivalent in scope to a new installation. This is not covered under the product warranty and is not listed in your contract as a free or included service.

    The quote you received includes:
    - Safe system removal
    - Panel and hardware storage
    - Reinstallation and re-commissioning
    - Utility re-submission and inspection coordination

This pricing is consistent with market standards for a system of your size and complexity. You are not obligated to use GreenBrilliance for this service; however, as per the manufacturers policy, using unauthorized contractors may void the system warranty. That is also listed in the signed contract.

    4. Warranty Transfer Process

We have also been responsive to your request to transfer the system warranty to a new homeowner. As communicated, a standard warranty transfer fee applies, and we are happy to support the new owner once proper documentation is received.

    Final Note:

We understand that home renovations and sales can be stressful, but it is unfair and inaccurate to characterize our adherence to contractual terms as highway robbery or a legal battle.

GreenBrilliance remains committed to transparency, quality service, and honoring our obligations.

Should you wish to move forward with panel reinstallation services or warranty transfer, we remain available to assist.

    Best regards,

Green Brilliance is a terrible company and I would never recommend them. The only thing they are good at is asking for your money, anything else takes many months to get done. I started dealing with them in early spring to have my system up and running by summer and it was December by the time it was online and I still can't monitor the system to tell if it's even working. I paid cash $20,000+ and to date I still don't know if it's working.

Green Brilliance installers damaged our metal roof and have done nothing to correct the issue, other than delay, defer, ignore, and now completely fail to provide repair, after causing thousands of dollars in damage. Add to that, the manner in which their sales team pitched their solar product, the energy savings have fallen far short of the forecasts they presented. I would not recommend Green Brilliance to anyone.
