The following is an accurate timeline regarding my experience with the United Air Temp Company.
On 12 December 2022, I contacted American Home Shield (AHS) Warranty regarding a heating issue with my home unit. To my surprise, AHS had its subcontractor contact me to set up an appointment promptly. We agreed on an appointment for 13 December with an appointment window between 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm.
I waited at home all day for the agreed-upon appointment with a tech from United Air Temp. The time-frame passed without one single call stating the tech would be late. So, I called the United Air Temp phone number. The representative said he would reach out to the tech to see what was causing the delay. Moments later, and it is now after 5 pm, I am told that I was next to be serviced.
Another hour went by, and no tech had arrived at my home, so I called the representative again and expressed my concern regarding the delay. Again, the representative contacted the tech, but the tech informed the representative that he would be at my home "sometime tonight." I expressed my concern since it was getting late, and I was concerned about someone coming to my home late in the evening for repairs.
So, I asked the representative to reschedule the service call for today, 14 December. He agreed.
Moments later, the tech would be uncommunicative and frankly not responsive to a customer's request for service.
Next, I would Google United Air Temp; the rated and unrated reviews on the United Air Temp technicians surprised me. There are 'several hundred' complaints regarding the quality of their craft. I encourage you to do your due diligence before you decided to do business with this company.
Rather than act on my initial thoughts, I slept on my next move. This morning (14 December), I took the following actions:
      1) Cancelled my apt with United Air Temp for today; and
      2) Cancelled my AHS contract
I hope that my sharing this horrible experience helps someone.

Make sure work is really complete before paying. Company will not fix issues once they have deemed they are done and paid.
I had a water heater moved form the first floor to my basement. After moving it there was a "thunk" from the pipes when I turned on water in the upstairs bathrooms. I let them know and they sent a "technician" out to check it out and he told me it was the water pressure - I have lived in my house for 20+ yrs and never had water pressure issues. It was going to cost me approx. $400 to $600 to put in a regulator to fix the problem. I said no figuring I could live with the problem. A few months later while in the basement I was looking at the pipes and noticed that with all the new piping they had to put in only one hanger was installed and that was just some wire wrapped around the pipe and a screw in the joist and it didn't stabilize anything. I tried contacting them with no results (called and sent e-mail). They are now calling me about servicing my furnace I told the agent a few weeks ago about the water heater issue and thought maybe I'd hear something. Nothing. I just got another call yesterday and told that agent the same story . He put me on hold and talked to a manager, who said I needed to call American Home Shield and put in a break/fix order then they would come out. Why should they get paid extra for a faulty install? Very shady and unprofessional IMO. Never do business with them

This company is a scam. They were sent to my home by American Home Shield because my AC went out. On 8/4 a technician arrived at my home and so called inspected my AC Unit and stated that I have a leak from my Schrader pin and my Freon levels were low. AHS does not cover Freon so it would have been a charge of over $2,000 because they said my Freon was low by 17lbs. The technician said that his supervisor has to come out and review everything. the supervisor by the name of Andrew arrived later that day to confirm it was a leak and i had low Freon he also stated that my system was in bad condition and recommended replacement. Since something didn't feel right i contacted another company to get a second opinion. This company came out check my unit and replaced the capacitor and the unit was operational and they checked the Freon levels and there were not low. Not only did this company lie about my system having a leak they also tried to swindle me out of thousands of dollars. Don't ever use this company.

I would give zero starts if I could. AHS sent this company out to service my air conditioner. To begin with the technician was an hour late. His manager Jeremiah was on-site because the technician was a new hire. Jeremiah called to give me the diagnosis saying that I had buildup on my unit outside and that it required an acid wash. Jeremiah stated this was considered a maintenance and not a repair so I would have to pay $189.95 for the service. When I got the invoice it said the coil was was free and that I signed up for a maintenance priority agreement (which I knew nothing about) it also said the coils were washed with water (not an acid wash). I called questioning the invoice and was told his technician write the invoice up incorrectly. Later that night my air conditioner stopped working again.
I texted Jeremiah that night to let him know and he said he would call the office to have them put me on the schedule. This did not happen. I called the office the next day to discuss the events that happened and request a refund in the “acid wash”. I was then give another appointment for the next day for service between 9am and 10am. (No one showed up). I called back to the company to find out where the tech was and was advised that Jeremiah called AHS and requested they send another company to service my air conditioner.
No one called me to tell me they weren’t coming. I called AHS and was told they another company would be calling me to schedule an appointment to service my AC and that Jeremiah told them I stated I didn’t want them to come back. I clearly told the scheduler at United Air Temp that I didn’t care what technician came out to fix my air conditioner but someone needed to come. I also told her that I was taking off work to be home when the technician came.
Moral of the story. I was scammed into paying for a service that I shouldn’t have been charged for and signed up for something I didn’t agree to and then refused service

Ditto all the comments below. Horrible company and Horrible customer service. We were contracted also through AHS (horrible company as well) and waited 2 weeks for them to come and service our hot water heated which was not working. They finally came out and said the water needed to be replaced, but we had to wait for another 24 hours for the supervisor to sign off on it. Then they charged us an additional 1600 to bring it up to code, had no follow through on the inspection, 2 weeks after they installed a new water heater it is not working again we called them and american home shield and spent 3 plus hours on the phone trying to get the hot water heater recalled. The hot water heater has not even been inspected and it is not working. No one has accurate records anything and I think they are doing it intentionally to make customers frustrated. We just need hot water so we can cancel AHS. There needs to be a zero star rating for reviews because they dont even deserve 1 star
