Easy to subscribe but the worst customer service if you have any issues or what to cancel. Tried to cancel online but even though I was entering all the correct information (name, billing address, Mailing address for the magazine, account number, email address, password password) and I got an error message every time! So I called to cancel, spoke with ******* who confirmed that all the information I was providing was indeed correct but the only way to pull up my account was with my email address. ******* said they would cancel the auto renewal and that the subscription would expire after the last magazine was sent. I asked for an email to confirm the cancellation. They said it would come within 24 to 48 hours. Immediately after hanging up, I got an email telling me I needed to log into my account in order to complete the cancellation, which doesnt work! I called back again! Had to hold for 25 minutes! Talked to **** who told me that everything was not indeed canceled so I had to go through that all over again. again asked for an email confirming my cancellation and she requested one to be sent which I wouldnt get for 24 to 48 hours. I have zero confidence that this will be processed correctly and anticipate I will have to call back yet again and likely have to dispute the charge on my credit card! What a cluster!

One year I subscribed for my 5 yr old grandchild. They advertised one price and charged me for 3x the amount I signed up for. The following year they charged without out asking me and then never sent magazines to the grandchild. The following year they sent a renewal request. I put a note in that I wanted my name removed from any and everything that is affiliated with them. And yet I still receive renewal forms! I would advise anyone thinking of signing up with them, dont!!! You will regret it.

Thank you for your feed back and we apologize for any inconvenience you experienced during this time. In looking at the account it seems a subscription for Ranger *************************** was enrolled in the Auto Renewal Program. This is done when an order is placed online or email address is provided. This is clearly marked on the online order form and print form when ordering. If a customer does not want to be part of the Auto Renewal program there is a link to Customer Care/URL provided to be removed from the Auto Renewal program. The Ranger **** *** subscription was canceled in July 2024 and a full refund issued. There was also a Ranger ****************** account which was canceled July 2024 with all monies refunded. Your name has been marked as do not promote/do not exchange. Again we apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.

Ranger **** ********* is charging $21.98 every month. The advertisement makes it look like it is a one time charge. Getting it canceled by email is not effective. Call the 800 number for cancellation but holding time is longer than expected.

Thank you for your feed back and we apologize for any inconvenience you experienced. The Ranger **** *********s are a continuity program and are charged monthly. The explanation of the program is clearly explained on the online order form when placing an order for the book clubs. Customer enrolled in the book clubs will receive an email notification a few weeks before the next book set is shipped letting the customer know there will be an upcoming charge that includes the ***** number to cancel giving the customer time to cancel the order before the charge takes place. A second email is sent that also includes the ***** number when the card is about to be charged and books sent (another opportunity to cancel the program). We apologize if you were unaware of this process. Please reach out to customer service at ************** if you are still in need of canceling the ********* subscription. Thank you again for your feed back and we apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.

Only gave them ONE star because ZERO stars are not available.I ordered Ranger **** in the amount of $15 for my grandson ***** in January 2024. Since that time, I have sent EIGHT emails which solved absolutely Nothing! I finally had to resort to telephoning the company that is based offshore (this surprised me because it is owned/mailed as **************************** in ****). I had a Very Difficult time understanding them and attempting to explain that my grandson never received anything from Ranger ****. They assured me it would begin with the JUNE/JULY 2024 issue. Of course, that too never happened. They left me with no recourse except to request a full refund. After two weeks I received a check for ONLY $13.50!!! It appears they penalized me for THEIR Incompetence!!

My grandson LOVES this magazine, which is the most important thing, and the ONLY reason I'm still subscribing. In a world in which print magazines are moving toward the endangered species list, you'd think they'd make it easy to renew the subscription. But apparently they're not really interested in customer service. In June of 2023, I began trying to renew his subscription so that there would be no lapse in service. Round and round and round I went with customer service, and I have the emails from Jeremie and Karl to prove it, but I couldn't get anywhere. In the last email, Joena Mae assured me that everything was updated...but I still never received a bill nor was the subscription updated. I finally gave up and on 15 November 2023, I bought him a new gift subscription. Supposedly this one will renew automatically, but frankly, I'll believe it when I see it. It shouldn't take 6 months to obtain a renewal - for crying out loud, I'm trying to PAY the company and they're just not interested!

If you do decide to subscriber to the Ranger Rick Book Club, do so with caution and watch your credit card statements. I signed up for a monthly delivery of books, which I thought would be a welcome addition to our homeschool curriculum. I was charged three separate times in a single month at a rate of once per week and did not receive any books. At first I thought the emails they were sending referred to the same order, but once I saw my credit card statement I realized they were separate charges. By September I still had not received any books. I filled out a contact us form on the website to complain about the 3 charges and ask for an explanation. They responded that the charges were for the book club. When I called customer service, I was told that the book club was weekly - I said there was no way I would have signed up for a weekly delivery, and in any case, I still had not received a single book - the language on the website describes a delivery every 4 weeks for a cost of $13.90 plus $4.98 shipping and handling. The rep said she has removed the charges and canceled the book club subscription, but then tried to upsell me on another magazine subscription with a supposedly reduced price as a "thank you". I have no idea what they think they are doing at this company, but I would handle very carefully before you sign up for anything.

Please accept our most sincere apologies for the delayed delivery and multiple credit card charges associated with the Ranger Rick book club shipments scheduled to arrive mid-June and July with charges applied in September. We strive to deliver the best products and services to our valued customers like you. Unfortunately, we had a delay in production and packaging of the book sets. Any delayed orders will be shipped. This situation has been corrected and shipments will resume on a regular monthly schedule as stated. Again, please accept our apologies for any difficulties and inconvenience this has caused. Thanks Ranger Rick Customer Care Team.

This company is horrible to work with. I gave it one star because you can't leave ZERO stars. I have been doing gift subscriptions to my grandkids for 5 years now. Ranger Rick subscriptions are available online for $15/year. When you order online, you are FORCED to accept auto renew. When I received an email to renew (6 MONTHS before expiration of current subscription), the renewal is always for $24.95. I paid $12/yr in Feb 2022. That is 208% higher. So, every year I have to cancel the renewal, wait until the current one expires and take out a new one year subscription. This is horrible customer service....stabbing the loyal customers with jacked up renewal costs. Speaking of horrible customer service, yeah, they are worthless. I sent 3 emails with crazy responses....like they never read my email before responding...and today I spoke with customer service who told me I could renew the subscription for $19.95. Close but still not the price that anyone else could get online. HORRIBLE COMPANY! So, since my gkids love, love, love the magazines, I will order/cancel/order/cancel.....ridiculous!

I ordered Ranger Rick magazine for my grandson in August 18, 2022. The organization took the money out the next day on August 19th. It is October 4, and still no magazine. I searched for a phone # and was transferred 3 times. Finally I spoke with someone at Ranger Rick magazine. She informed me the FIRST magazine won’t be sent out until mid November!! I asked why it’s taking so long- she just ignored me. So I cancelled! If they can grab up the money in a day yet take 3 months before even sending out that order, then others need to be aware of this before they wait and wait for this scam. Ranger Rick magazine is represented by the National Wildlife Federation. This way of handling my order has been lazy and so unprofessional of a big supposedly well intentioned organization!! **PLEASE BEWARE??
