5 starsMr. ****** with Matrix Construction assisted us in checking our roof to see if there were any leaks or problem areas. He notices a few areas that needed attention soon to prevent future problems. We decided to have him complete the repairs and we were very pleased with the outcome. He even trimmed one of the bushes in the front yard and trimmed back a tree that was close to the front of the roof. He showed professionalism and scheduled the repairs quickly and cleaned up after the repairs were completed. Thank you – ******!Review fromChuck S

5 starsNelson, at Matrix Construction Roofing is a top notch roofer. A sincere honest and hard working roofer in the local VB -Hampton Roads area. I have personally used his services on my houses and rental units because of his through knowledge ability to explain every detail of repairs and reliability to complete the job in a timely fashion. I have also referred Nelson's services to my neighbors as well as friends for their roofing repairs. He has always done a professional job with competitive pricing, I highly recommend using his services for your roofing repairs.

5 starsWe recently discovered a horrible leak in our roof that had very quickly made its way into the house and soaked the carpet, wooden floors AND the grand babies’ Christmas gifts. With a week of very rainy weather getting ready to arrive I searched for a roofer with good reviews. After reading the reviews for Matrix Construction, I called and spoke to the very friendly owner, Mr. ****.
Mr **** was soooo helpful and made room in his schedule to come look and give me an estimate. He did a very thorough evaluation by actually climbing up on the roof and walking every inch of it, rather than using a drone. (I will say, one other company came out and looked at it before I found Matrix and they used a drone. Not only was their estimate very expensive but they missed multiple smaller leaks that Mr. **** found and repaired.) Matrix Construction, then came to the house and repaired my roof in a very timely manner and for a very reasonable price. The work even continued as rain showers came and went so that when the thunderstorms arrived my home would be dry. I have full confidence that the work was done well, even before I was shown many, many pictures of before and after.
It is so clear that Mr. **** loves what he does and feels very passionately about roofs. He considers what he does an art form and after seeing his work on my home, and photos of his previous work, and speaking to him about roofing I agree with him. :D
I will definitely being calling Matrix Construction for all my future roofing needs.

I have hired Matrix Construction 3 times now, for a roofing project, fix old soffit boards, rehang a gutter and roof leak around vent pipes. I couldn't be happier with the results. The quality of the work was outstanding, and it was clear that they take great pride in their craftsmanship. From start to finish, they were honest and transparent about the process, costs, and timeline. Their work ethic is commendable, they showed up on time, worked diligently, and left the site clean at the end of the day. If you're looking for a roofing contractor who does great work and operates with integrity, I highly recommend Nelson and his company.

5 starsI've hired Matrix Construction two times now. This review's been a while coming, but so well deserved. Oddly, the circumstance that prompted me to write this was when a neighbor had their roof redone by another contractor and the result was so shoddily done (all kinds of cut corners, lumpy bumps in the shingles, crooked lines, and 0 attention to shingle pattern in the finished roof) that it opened for me real insight into just how amazing Matrix Construction is. First of all, Nelson's attention to detail is meticulous. I laugh because a few times, I even told him, "gosh, what you're doing looks really hard. I'd never notice one way or another how you do it." and his reply was always "no, hard or not, this is how it is done the right way." He is an honest man, the hardest working person I've known, and a true master of his craft. His work beams with pride, and his results speak for themselves. Multiple times, Matrix Construction has gone above and beyond in the scope of what he was hired for, and when I questioned him, he said "this is how it would be done right. If this was my home, this is how I'd do it." Matrix Construction doesn't cut corners. So much did I have faith in his quality, the second job he did for me (a whole-home re-roofing), I was completely comfortable leaving him to finish without my being present to inspect. There was no need to; I simply knew his strong ethic would not cut a corner, especially after flat refusing to do so EVEN WHEN I'D PREVIOUSLY SUGGESTED/ENCOURAGED IT! As a 20-year homeowner, I've worked with MANY contractors over the years and I would NOT say that about any other contractor I've ever hired. If I hire one, I watch them like a hawk! Neither have I ever had a contractor call me months and months after completion to ask if I was still happy and if everything was doing well. Nelson (Matrix Construction) has become my "roof guy". Another leak showed up on my 93 year old slate roof. I called Nelson again and without fail he responded quickly. He came out in a timely manner, fixed the leak, and cleaned up after his work like he was never there. 5 starsI had a stopped up kitchen sink and nothing I tried would clear it up. I put in a trouble call to my home warranty, but they would not do the work. Mr Nelson ****’s name was given to me by my son who suggested I call him, I did and Mr **** was at my home the following day. Mr **** worked on the blocked sink with a drain auger (snake) tirelessly, but it didn’t work, he left and returned with a motorized drain auger and to my amazement, the blockage was cleared! Not only did he get that done, but he noticed my front door was slanted and not closing like it was supposed to, and said “I have the tools and only takes a couple of minutes, so why not!” And, he fixed the door! I told him he was sent by God! I highly recommend Mr Nelson ****! Although he is a master roofer by profession, I think he can do almost any type of job in your home.Review fromMark A
