I am writing in regard to Factory Expo at 90 Weaver Street Rocky Mount, VA 24151. I would like to file a complaint against this business. I purchased a mobile home from them in 09/2022 and it was delivered to me in ** in 12/2022. From the day the home was delivered there were structural damages as well as cosmetic. The factory was contacted via email since the day of delivery to notify them of these issues. I provided pictures to them as proof of these damages. I have been in contact with them up until November of 2024. After 2 years Factory Expo has not honored their warranty nor have, they offered to fix anything or send anyone from their company to rectify any issues. I can provide all correspondence that has been sent to Factory Expo as well as over 100 pictures of the damages. These issues were clearly noticeable before the home left the factory and they still chose to deliver it to me in this condition. I am a retired veteran; retired volunteer firefighter and I cannot afford to hire a contractor to pay for these repairs. I had hired a contractor to give me an estimate on the repairs and he stated that it would cost more than what I paid for the home brand new from the factory. Please feel free to reach out to me if you need me to provide the photos and emails. Thank you for your time, Best Regards, ****** *********

Thank you for notifying us of this complaint.  Factory Expo Home Centers has been in communication with Mr. ********* over the course of several years.  Mr. ********* has been notified by both Factory Expo Home Centers and ********* *****, that his warranty on the home is covered by *********, not Factory Expo Home Centers.  On April 17, 2023, ********* ***** reached out to Mr. ********* requesting information.  This information was not received until September 2024, which was forwarded to ********* *****. We have reached out to ********* ***** to notify them of this complaint.

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Good Afternoon, The reason I rejected their response is because the home was delivered from them with severe structural damages. I contacted them immediately. From day 1 they have refused to assist in any way possible. They never sent anyone out immediately to look at the damages. They willingly let my home leave their factory in damaged condition. This is a problem they should have been willing to work with me on from day one. It has now been 2 years that I have been trying to get any kind of assistance from this company and they have done zero to make this right. I have countless emails, and over 150 photos of all damages that I provided to Factory Expo. They have done nothing but brush me under the rug.

    Regards,

********* *****, who covers the warranty on their homes, has made contact with Mr. *********.  ******, service manager for *********, requested pictures and a written list of his concerns.  Once ********* receives this information they will schedule another call with the customer.  I have attached a copy of the warranty notice provided to Mr. ********* regarding who handles warranty coverage on his home.  All warranty concerns that Mr. ********* has given to us over the course of the last two years have been forwarded to *********.  Regard the structural damage that Mr. ********* states occurred to his home, attached is the bill of lading that was signed by the customer.  There is no indication noted on this form from the customer of damage that occurred during transport.  The home was delivered to a park and per park instructions was to be delivered to an area just outside of the park.  As customer satisfaction, Factory Expo issued a check in the amount of $1,100 regarding the delivery.  Mr. ********* would have hired another party to move his home into the park.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.Good Morning ***, At this time, I would like to hold off on further action from the BBB. The reasoning is since the BBB has contacted Factory Expo, they have finally sent out a representative to examine the damages, defects and complaints of my home. The arrived at my home on March 4th, 2025. The representative explained that it would take them about 2 weeks to gather all material costs and needed materials to repair the damages. They will be sending me a list of everything they are going to repair for me to sign off on. They also have agreed to refund my out-of-pocket expenses I had to pay to fix some of the damages. If they do not repair all discussed damages, then I would like to proceed with the BBB and all that is being requested. I do have a list of defects and damages as well as the list of expenses I had to pay out of pocket. Please let me know if you need any more information from me.  Thank you for your time on this matter. Best Regards, ****** *********
