Factory expo doesn’t give a big deal about you. They want your money and they’re gone. They do not care about you like a used car salesman.. read your contract. They expect you to pay somebody else to do a shoot ton of work. Did they say they’ve already done from the factory? I’ve been arguing with them for a year and a half roofing. Yes you can use nails and it gives specifications staples gives a specification read the line right under Staples it says, and I quote all fasteners must be driven flush with the shingle surface” that’s why I have staples sticking through the shingles, not some places all over the roof . Interior doors from the manufacture says we adjust all doors before it leaves the factory their liars. That’s why I had to raise **** and get every single door in terrier and exterior repaired. They expected me to pay somebody else to do it.. carpet they shorted the carpet guy on material and I had to argue over that when he showed up I cleaned out the closet. There were razor blade cuts in the tile all the way around in the closet and I’m not talking a little bit I’m talking like 9 feet all the way around inside the closet where the tile was buckling up and they said that that closet wasn’t supposed to get carpet that was her argument. I was also expected to pay for repairs to the cracks in between outside hardy board panels that were suddenly taken care of as a courtesy. Do not whatever you do buy a home from them all they want is your money price per pound your better off having a custom home built you’re looking at zero to maybe $50,000 more, I know looking back at my last custom built home. I’d never buy another manufactured home as long as I live.

I usually don’t do reviews, but I’m determined to let people know about Home Expos, poor customer service after the sale. They have many many rules for everything but very little protection for the buyer. By looking at the initial prices on the One bedroom homes, it looks great. I pay $20,000 extra to have upgrades and sheet rock throughout, They were supposed to do a walk-through to make sure everything was done as requested. Well, this was poorly done because I’m still finding stuff not done properly.
They have a list of preferred contractors, which this was a fiasco in itself. The mover that was highly recommended by the sales person ended up being a problem. I would suggest if you get one of these homes that you find your own contractors. Home expo is experts at passing the Responsibility for Screw up.
I wanted gas Furnace, range, and dryer. The dryer was a fiasco. They put in the line and stuff for the dryer, but no one told me that it was frowned on for Gas dryer in a bedroom Which was the only place to put it because of space. Hud will approve a dryer in a bedroom but building inspectors frowns on this and most gas companies will not service it. I have been so disappointed. I still don’t have a storm door up. They told me they at home expo they thought the person that brought the home and set it up would put up the door, but they told them it wasn’t in there contract. So I’m gonna have to pay two hours labor out of my own pocket to put up the storm door up. My home is brand new by the I got It, looked like it was a year too old.
