      I wen there to get a basic eye exam where i have a $15 copay under vision insurance and just received an insurance letter saying my portion is $178. I called the insurance company to confirm and they said it was filed under medical. Nobody disclosed to me it wouldnt be filed under medical at Invision and Ive never seen this before with any eye exam Ive ever had. I even asked when they tried to charge me over $60 saying it was the copay and i said i had a $15 copay and they reduced it to over $35.60 We dont have money for that and you would think the would have told me before hand if they do that. I saw other reviews on google maps said the same thing. Even when i asked invision them they said dont worry nothing has come back yet from insurance after i received the insurance paper from my insurance company. This is misleading and i never would have went because initially when i caleed they said they take my insurance which has vision.

      At Invision we are out of network for ALL Vision insurance. It is our policy to tell all patients when they schedule for the first time that we will only take their insurance and file it medically for the eye exam. That means that the patient will either owe a specialist copay or in this instance it will go toward their deductible and they will pay in full.  It is the patient's responsibility to know their insurance. However because the employee did not note in the scheduled exam that he was told this information specifically we will take the charges off.  If the patient wishes to return in the future we ask that he calls ahead of time to get clarification of his insurance and does some research on his benefits.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved. Though I researched my benefits and made it crystal clear my expected copay before my visit, I appreciate them doing what is right in the end.
