      I would give ZERO STARS if I could!!

      G&J moving SHOULD STAND FOR GOD-AWFUL JOKE OF A MOVING COMPANY!

      VIRGINIA OFFICE. Damaged countless furniture items...i literally saw a mover slide my master bedroom dresser over rocky pavement unprotected (no moving blanket/no cart) I saw them throwing boxes off the truck.

      IT WAS AWFUL?? I did not know how awful until I hired ABLE MOVING company who did a FANTASTIC 5 STAR JOB! AND THEY ARE AFFORDABLE AN CHEAPER THEN THESE FOLKS!!!

      DONT LET G&J moving ROB YOU OF YOUR MONEY AND POSSESSIONS!

      G&J SHOULD STAND FOR GOD-AWFUL JOKE OF A MOVING COMPANY!

      Absolutely the worst moving experience I have ever had.
      After reading all the wonderful, glowing reviews, I can only assume that the wonderful moving experiences were located in Virginia and not in Texas, where I am.
      I contacted Great Job Moving at the end of June for a moving date of August 1, 2023. I spoke with Monique and received a quote from her that included packing, unpacking and storage at their facility.
      August 1st comes and Willie and his adult son Caleb come to my apartment to move my belongings. However, NO ONE HAD COME TO PACK THEM as I had requested. Willie calls Monique and discovers that she LEFT THAT DETAIL OUT. Someone was supposed to have come a few days before hand to pack. That didn't happen. Why she neglected to have people come earlier to pack, I don't know.
      Willie and his son commence packing and we move the actual move to the next day, August 2, 2023. Larry and Braden came the next day and took all of my belongings without a problem and took them to the storage facility. This is was the ONLY smooth part of the move.
      I was contacted the next morning by Anthony from GJM who informed that Monique has misquoted me and that I owed $1,000 more. He was willing to take off $250 for the mistake she made.
      August 10th, when I was moving into my new place, the van is supposed to be at my place at 1:00 pm, it didn't come until 2:30 because one of the workers simply failed to show and the other one's phone wasn't working.
      Once again, Willie and his son, moved my belongings into my place (and God Bless them for that) but there was no unpacking. The furniture went where it was supposed to be but the boxes were left.
      I had to contract with UHaul's Mover Helpers to come unpack my belongings to the tune of $275.
      Right now, I'm filing a damage claim with them for missing and damaged belongings.

      Let’s start with the good: The crews that packed and moved our household goods were kind and careful. Everything that arrived was in great condition.

      Now the bad: One member of the pack team drank while packing up. He came to us, said he had been drinking and fired by Great Job. Granted they didn’t charge us for him being there, but still, drank to the point that we could no longer understand him. Several items missing from storage. They even found some, but we have yet to get them delivered (two months later).

      We cannot get them to call us back! I have called multiple times, and nobody will call us back.

      We were paying $570 per month in storage. The last month they only had our goods for a week. However, they wont refund the prorated amount, even though one of their specialists said that they would.

      Overall, like I said, those folks I had in my house were kind and careful. However, the office management is what is getting this one star review. Just terrible.

      NEVER USE. Our move started with moving out of our sold home on 04/24/23. Great Job Moving was to hold our items in the truck for 4 days until 04/28/23, when we were to move into our new home. We were told by the salesperson that we would have 4 movers for the move and that they had a 3hr minimum that would be based on the move from the sold house and our move into the new home. The move out of the sold house took 5hrs. On 04/28, the truck that was supposed to arrive at 1:30PM arrived after 3PM with only ONE mover. The mover that did show up said our time would not start until all 4 movers arrived. The remaining 3 movers only arrived after 6:30PM. During 3PM– 6:30PM, the single moving person along with my husband and myself, moved most of the items into our new house. When the 3 remaining crew arrived – we had moved most of our belongings out of the truck, which left only 45 mins worth of work. After 45 mins, the lead mover gave us an invoice that was billing us for 3hrs of work. We immediately called the lead’s manager and said that they erroneously charged us 3 hrs and they should correct it to 45 mins. The manager said they must charge a 3hr min and claimed they were 2 separate jobs. How are they two different jobs? My belongings were on the SAME truck for 4 days, nothing was moved out of that truck – hence they have not completed their ONE job. This is also after the salesperson we booked the job with told us it was ONE job. We hit our 3hr min moving out of the sold house! The individual on the phone said he would speak to his manager and that someone would be in touch with us to correct it. No one called us back and no one answered our repetitive phone calls. Instead, without my authorization and approval, they charged my credit card that night. This company has no hesitation stealing from their customers- they are THIEVES and LIARS. Avoid them at all costs!! Charging a credit card without the owner’s authorization is fraudulent and a crime. You are crooks!

      Daniel and Malcolm did a wonderful job with our move! They arrived on time, we’re very courteous and careful with our belongings! Would definitely use them again, and recommend to others!

      I would not give even 1 star to this company if I could. I paid a deposit on Jan. 31st for a move on April 1st. Their policy for cancellation and refund is 72 hours notice. I gave notice on Jan. 8th and have yet to receive my refund. (Family is coming to town to help me move) It is going on a month and they had no difficulty taking my deposit the 1st day. After 2 weeks of getting no notice of my refund (and ensuing emails stating that it would be forthwith), I left 2 messages (yesterday and today) for someone to get back in touch with me and inform me of when I can expect my deposit back. Still no word. I have no recourse left but to write this review here and on other social media sites.

      Moving is the worst! But great Job Moving, especially Kamilla and her crews, made the move so less painful. Attentive to our concerns and helpful with any questions we had during the process. Hopefully this is our last big move, but if GJ Moving was in our area, I'd call them back to move us!

      What an amazing crew! I worked with Kamilla and her team. They were professional, friendly, and fast. They did everything they could to be accommodating and make things easy for us. I will definitely use them again and recommend them to everyone I know.
      Also thanks to Michael who booked us last night at the very last minute when another moving company really disappointed us.
