This is business is criminal. The owner only takes cash, venmo, or cash app and will not accept payment by credit card. My brother who is homeless, had his car towed and a charity organization was willing to pay the tow fee and the owner would not accept it. He then told me on the phone because I called and complained the bill was now doubled, which is obviously illegal. We have been told he has no respect for police and the state police will no longer use his services. He should be reported to the attorney general of extortion. That is my next call.

This call came in from ******** *********** (******** *******) for a car illegally parked in a private parking spot. My business is towing and repair.  I don't except Credit cards for such tows as customers are mad at me for the end result of vehicle being towed. As in I am the fall guy for the vehicle being towed. I let this customer know this is policy through the charitable organization who really didn't want to pay the bill for the after hrs towing and the night of storage. Customers sister calls me and dresses me out for one towing the car without permission, the bill is too high and its criminal not to take a credit card. I lost a fair amount of money over the last couple years in situations like this on charge backs. Customer pays by phone and then calls bank and says they didn't authorize such debt and card company does a charge back. I lose out as I don't have an authorized signature for the debt. I learned to keep everyone honest and not except credit cards from disgruntled customers. I called the lady back explained I didn't need such disrespect and if she keeps calling me and swearing and yelling at me, she will endure an increase of 100$ added to the 250$ tow bill and 80$ storage fee. Our policy is no checks, no credit cards. Cash, Venmo, Cash App is the only payment excepted during these cases. Spoke to Mother of customer and she has apologized for her daughter's behavior. Thank you for allowing me to communicate the reality of life of a tow company.
