      In February 2021 we had Top Notch Roofing replace our roof. They were on site for a couple weeks and completed the work. There were minor issues as they set up at our neighbors and I had to go over and correct the location. Also they used one of our ladders without asking, and some other minor items we werent ****** concerned about. Fast forwards to December of 2023 when we had our chimney inspection we have every three years. It was found the chimney liner was burned out due to overheating. This was caused by singles and other debris the roofers threw down our chimney chase. The inspector stated he is surprised our house didnt catch fire, and were lucky we didnt run it this past winter. This are is right near our 13 year old daughters room, so we were very upset. Reached out to the owner ****, and did all correspondence this way so we had a paper trail. He was send photos and a statement from the chimney company as requested showing they are at fault. He agreed to pay to have everything fixed and send us a check by mid March. He claimed no money for this as it wasnt roofing season, which honestly isnt our problem at all. We werent able to run the fireplace for heat and had to spend more on heating fuel and electric due to this. Its the end of March and still no check date or payment.

      ****'s complaint makes us here at Top Notch Roofing very sad. We have tried to correct any upset that **** has expressed. The crew that installed his roof no longer works for us. Although the actions of these previous employees are not okay and we do apologize for the situation at hand. We could have filed a claim through insurance but we wanted to make things right and stand by our work and send **** a check for the cost of damages. Unfortunately we weren't able to meet his demands pertaining to timeframe as when he initially reached out we were in our off season. However, we have no problem paying for the damages (as we have previously mentioned).
