Week of April 8th I brought my car into 1st Auto Service to see what was wrong with my car. I got a call back stating it needed a clutch replacement and clutch forks replaced. He quoted $2,975. I had asked for paper work with diagnosis and cost broken down on paper, he said he could not provide me with that until the work had been done (thought was weird because every shop provides a estimate paper to sign before working on the car). I was desperate and said go ahead. There was little to no communication in the 3 weeks he had my car and a few lies, he would say one thing and then a couple days later his story would change. Finally may 1st the car was done so I went down there and paid $2,975. He then said do not drive it until you take it to **** to look at the recall so thats exactly what I did. **** called me back and first thing they said was who ever worked on your car last destroyed the new clutch, it was not put together probably causing coolant contamination in the new clutch, meaning I need a new clutch. When I called 1st Auto Service, he argued the fact and immediately got defensive. When he got the car back he still continued to argue the situation that they were not reasonable. He then tells me about a coolant leak my car had that they fixed without telling me or charging me. After an hour of arguing with me, he then said he will replace the new clutch with a new clutch per his warranty. 2 days later I take it to **** to service the recall. They fixed the recall and called me back saying the car is still running very rough and cannot be driven. The clutch is still contaminated with coolant, its not aligned probably to the flywheel and overall is still ruined, saying it doesnt look like 1st Auto service replaced the clutch after the first time. My car is not drivable after paying the shop $2,975. Its either a miss diagnosis or they really messed up he clutch. Friends told me the shop is ran by drug addicts that live in a trailer on property.
