1 starStaff are greedy and racist Hispanics. I was racially profiled here and none of the staff did anything to help. One of the staff thought the prices I had were too low so they took all of my things and repriced them 3x as original. They wouldnt even give me half of it back until I asked. It was trash and meh quality so I left most of it, but it was a messed up situation. Hope this savers gets shut down. This place is supposed to be affordable for people. Its ridiculous.Review fromCE R

1 starLong story short:We came to make a first time donation for the. We handed boxes to each of the two employees, removed more boxes, & placed them on the ground. One had said DONT PUT THEM ON THE GROUND. My Mother is hard of hearing. He stormed over said, I SAID NOT TO PUT THEM ON THE GROUND." My Mother, bewildered, said Why? He repeated and my Mother looked around, said, I dont see a sign? Then he said, HOW WOULD YOU LIKE PICKING THINGS UP ALL DAY? I said, You dont have to be RUDE!He told us to take our stuff and leave. I said, no. We came to drop of donations, so we were going to. He said, I dont want it! I continued to remove items. Then he said, leave or I am calling the police. I told him to do it, I know that we were not in the wrong. He radioed another employee, call the police, I have unruly customer. I got insulted. We were NOT unruly. He refused to give his name. I asked for his manager and he said, I AM the Manager. I wanted the STORE ************ said, I am the highest ranking manager that works here. Not true.I was explaining to another employee, he just kept yelling, Shes lying, shes a liar. She said she'd look at the cameras. I went in to wait. When she came, I asked about the cameras. She said, what do I get from that? I said, see how he treated us, how he was talking. She said the cameras dont have sound. I asked her, then what do I do? She kept saying you shouldve asked. No shed of empathy or sincerity. All the blame was on us.The worst part, the guy came to the front to listen. Later, he walked down an aisle near us and watching us. He was HARASSING & intimidating us. We left; we were scared. Why would we care if we cant put a box on the ground? What would WE get out of making a problem from dropping off donations? Absolutely nothing. We only had a problem with the rudeness. Treating us like criminals for PUTTING A BOX ON THE GROUND is completely foolish. I have NEVER been so HUMILIATED before.Review fromSandy D

1 starLocation: Value village, Waterdown. The "manager" name ******** is very unprofessional. Blonde lady. I wanted to return my items I purchased for $150.00 to exchange for different size clothes. I understand your policy but I am a member here, been a member for 2 decades, I never had this problem ever in my life before and I tried to show her the policy online. She didn't pay no attention to what I was trying to show her to clarify the policy. She was very entitled and ignorant in her position. I then accepted that I couldn't get a refund from her, then she went to her employees and customers to talk about our situation in a unfriendly manner way. They all started laughing by looking at us and gave us uncomfortable stares. Especially with ******. I was with a child and 5 month old baby. ******** kept on harassing me when I told her to stop talking to me as she was going back to work.. and couldn't keep her mouth shut. I asked her 4 times to stop. What she did was very unnecessary and uncalled for. Instead of being understanding and defusing the problem, she could've handled this differently as a professional manager. I've never seen a manager behave this way before. I hope someone takes this matter seriously because the environment she's creating doesn't make me want to come back. Not only was I involved in this matter, other customers and other employees were involved as well because she doesn't know how to handle herself in this position. I hope someone reaches out to me because I am very unsatisfied with my experience at this location. I've been coming here for 2 decades.Review fromSusan A

1 starStore #**** On Saturday 22/23 I had a horrible experience with a sales associate and with the store manager. A few days prior I purchased several shoes by *************************** at $5.99. On this visit I found a similar pair in not as great condition but without a price sticker. When I took it to the self pay register and asked for help to an African American sales associate (not profiling but I do not know her name or how else to describe her other than she always wear a red wig and this time she had a short *** blue wig) she was rude. I needed a price for the shoes, she responded that she could sell them to me for $11.99. I explained to her that I had purchased similar shoes from the same brand in better shape less than a week ago for $5.99. Then she asked me if I had anything to donate to get a discount coupon. I told her that not with me but I sure did have plenty at home for my next visit. Then she said she would sell them to me for $9.99 but that she was going to go speak with her manager to confirm. I told her that I want not interested in the shoes at $9.99. She comes back with the coupon on her hand and start to ring up the shoes without letting me know what the final "confirmed" price was. I asked her, what was the price and she ignored me and went along to ring the shoes.. I had to firmly asked her what was the price and she looked at me with a bullying tone and said "I already told you they are $9.99 and that's the best we are going to do without you even having a coupon. I am giving you a discount because I am giving you a coupon" I told her that I was not interested on the shoes at $9.99 and then she said "well, then you don't get the coupon either because I was only going to give you the coupon if you were buying the shoes" Hy husband who went to use the restroom as soon as he walked in the store, walked out to find two employees bu the door checking him out. She was forcing me to buy the shoes at the price she chose.Review fromPitche W.

1 starHi, on 2023 February 24th I was in the Value Village in ************, ******* with my daughter! I was in the children's section looking for certain authors. The whole rack started to violently vibrate like an earthquake was happening, I looked through to the rack on the other ********* was an employee names ***** throwing books on the shelf at a immense speed. ***** then came zooming around that side of the rack where I was walking with his cart full of books & just missed hitting me. I then asked him about a certain author & was advised 'I need to get this done before my shift ends at 4:30PM with no time for distractions' meaning me & zoomed off into the back room with the cart still full of books! A customer saw the whole thing how I was treated & we both complained to a staff employee names ******* who apologized for how I was treated. From there I went to the manager named **** who said 'well yes ***** is in a big hurry to get done before his shift finishes' & I said so it is okay to treat me poorly & all I got was the same answer. This all happened between 4PM & 4:30PM with *****'s shift finishing at 4:30PM.What happened to letting the next shift take over plus no way to be treated by both involved as a customer. Does this behavior mean anything to you at all?Does it matter to you as you have a 1 out of 5 at BBB which is so very sad!PitcheReview fromLindsay M

1 starThis location is beyond unprofessional. The floor manager is completely rude and dismissive. I have not been to the store since the remodeled to have less paid employees and expect people who donate the free items and then pay for them only to have to use a SELF CHECKOUT!!! This is past insulting. Its downright despicable! The only open til was marked CASH ONLY to deter people from using the only staff assisted lineup. Everyone else was herded like animals over to self check out. I refused. I flagged down a staff member and got her help to scan the few items I decided to keep. I abandoned another 70$+ in merch simply due to them thinking it was acceptable to have people check themselves out for items I used to frequently donate to. Now I will encourage everyone I know to donate elsewhere. Whats joke. Sad and disgusting. ******** is the manager there to date and she should do better. Cash only hey. Well I have a feeling youll continue to lose business.Review fromSteven H.

1 starMy girlfriend works at the Value Village on ****** and ***************** take her lunch and get her something to drink because they do not provide any drinking water at this facility. My girlfriend is diabetic and I just wanted to make sure she was staying well hydrated and to make sure her blood sugar is not to high or too low. I would also try and help her and the other ladies there by helping sweep up the store and put clothes where they needed to be so they can get out of there at a decent hour. The management there has got to be the worst people for the job. They have no people skills. I go in and shop there and now I'm not allowed in the store. I have never caused any problems while I'm in the store. I am respectful and helpful.I think they owe me and my girlfriend a public apology. I have 84 VIP rewards that I can't use now. I also applied for a job there and ******* told me they weren't hiring any men. I go in the store the following week and see they hired a young man to work. But he only lasted a week or two. She is a very rude person and I don't think she should be in a position of power, cause it goes to her head.
