Hello there,This is the first time I thought of lodging a complaint. I order two Origami paddlers. It took them over a year to send me the first one. As it was during Covid I gave that a pass. When I received I realized how darn heavy and unwieldy the kayak/SUUP was so cancelled my second order. They never refunded my payment of $750 ********. I was and am stunned. Never received product after paying close to $600.00. Strung along by company and told was coming then got bankruptcy notice. Filed all bankruptcy paperwork and have had no response.Business Response

I ordered 2 kayaks and reached out multiple times for an update once I didnt receive the product in the time frame as promised. The company assured me that they were out for shipment and to keep checking my email for an update on tracking. Then come to find out they are out of business and I was not offered a refund. I preordered an origami paddler in 2021 and although I received countless emails on how my order was received and the item was shipped, etc. the shipping label that was created still has not received any associated package. Ordered June 6 2021. Did not arrive until May 28th 2022. When I was able to take it out for the first time in July of 2022 the rudders on the kayak became loose by slightest current. I pulled it shore. Tightened them and took it back out. Still on the first *********** ****** fell off and became extremely difficult to steer and quite dangerous. At this point I was unable to find any way to contact them to figure out replacement parts. $449 dollars paid. I want a refund, or multiple replacement parts. I ordered an Origami Paddler on May 3, 2021. After not receiving the paddleboard by March 23, 2022, I e-mailed requesting that my order be cancelled if a paddleboard cannot be delivered by Summer. On April 21, 2022 I was told that they could ship a yellow board right away so I agreed. I got on e-mail that my order had been updated on April 24 and that I would receive shipping confirmation shortly. I never got confirmation. On May 15, 2022 I e-mailed again and said I would like to follow through with cancelling my order and getting a refund. After several back and forths, I finally got them to agree to send a refund on June 22, 2022 to send a refund. I never got an update. I then saw on their ******** in July of 2022 that they were going into receivership and all customers would be refunded shortly which they did not e-mail about. I got an e-mail confirming this on August 2, 2022 saying it would be ***** days. I never heard from them again. I tried to contact them on February 17, 2023 but they had an automatic e-mail that the e-mail is not being montitered. I spent $449 on a paddleboard (not a kickstarter but directly through their website) and was simply trying to get a refund and never could.Initial Complaint

On march 19 2022 I ordered the origami paddler and paid $618.18. Then after months of not getting it, I contacted the company on July 20, 2022 to cancel my order. I never got a response. I emailed them again on July 26th 2022, July 28th, 2022 and August 4, 2022 asking them to confirm that my request to cancel was received. I never heard back. Purchased the origami paddler back in 2021. FINALLY received it in the spring of 2022, took it out for its maiden voyage on the coast of ***, noticed that I heard water in it...odd...Took it to shore and couldn't lift it. Realized that water got into it and had to drain it. After more investigation I found the hole in the seam. I could stick my finger through it, hence water was getting in. Came back from my holiday, tried to contact Origami Paddler for a refund for this defective kayak... couldn't get through, they were selling the company...I am so so disappointed, especially after waiting over a year till they made it and delivered it... only to get one with a hole.Requesting my money back!
