      I received a letter from Dicks Towing stating they were sending me to collections for a vehicle I had donated to charity 14 years ago. When I called to tell them I needed time to figure out how this had happened, they told me I was liable and they were proceeding with collections. I was able to contact the charitable organization I donated it to and they took care of the fee the next day.They held the vehicle for 21 days and sold it before notifying me that it was in their possession.Threatening collections in the first correspondence is predatory and extortion. Not allowing time to figure out how this could have happened is cruel and unnecessary.

      Dear Ms. ******************* you for notifying us of this issue. We appreciate your feedback and apologize sincerely for the inconvenience you have experienced due to the impoundment of your motorcycle. We recognize how frustrating this situation can be.

      To address your concerns, I have included the relevant sections of the Washington State Legislature RCW 46.12.650 and RCW 46.55.105. Most importantly RCW 46.55.105 explains, properly filing a complete report of sale or transfer regarding the vehicle/motorcycle in accordance with 46.12.650 relieves the last registered owner of liability. These sections also explain the procedures for properly releasing interest, reporting sales, transferring ownership, and the associated requirements and penalties.

      We hope this information helps clarify the process we must follow when vehicles are impounded and resolves any misunderstandings. To include, the charitable organization resolved the remaining balance, and the collections concern is now dismissed.

      This place is a scam. The owner himself scammed me in buying a car from him vindictively knowing that he had his guys change all the fluids in the vehicle before we came to test drive the vehicle I checked all the fluids before purchasing the car and noticed that the oil looked a little too clean so I figured they serviced it as I drove the car home it started to have a tick in the motor got home and checked out the car again and now the oil wasn't clean anymore and there was foam in the oil which is a bad headgasket the owner him self was living up to his name "****" cause that's the attitude he gave us the whole time while we were there I tried to come down on the price and he would not budge not even 100 bucks he's a piece of s*** and he's not getting away with this one I'm the wrong dude we will see who's laughing in the end. D*** Big mistake
