On 03/20 we bought a Rainbow purifying machine from Polar Clean Air. In the contract they gave us 3 days to decide to return it. Who knows after 3 days of having an item. The machine worked perfectly at first. In 09/22, I reached out to ***** at the ********** *************** phone number ************ about my machine over heating and being a fire hazard and how the suction is not what it use to be. She gave me the option of bringing my machine in and having them service and repair it but I live over an hour and a half away, there is a toll bridge and I was at the time 6 months pregnant. I went almost 2 months without vacuuming my house and when I did use the machine, I thought my carpet would catch fire and my machine would short out because the brush on the bottom is getting so hot when it's used that it will burn you if you touch it. I found it because I smelled something burning when I was vacuuming and I followed my nose, this is when I touched the brush. I reached out to her again seeing if I could just give her back the rainbow machine and cancel my loan and contract also sending her pictures and a video of the machine and almost a month later she got back to me saying that "the return cancellation policy is past for [my] machine." In that time frame, I went out and bought a vacuum for my house so the rainbow became pointless. I messaged her back informing her this information and her response was " I understand and do apologize. The cancellation and return time frame has expires. You do have a great warranty on it though, I would recommend the servicing." When asked for a corporate number she said that the number would just take me back to her. They refuse to just take back the machine and cancel my loan. I am not asking for money back, I just want to be out of the loan and to get rid of the product. In short: They sold us a product that is a fire hazard and were misleading about having a "field tech" that could come out and service the machine.
