*n March 29, 2024, my boat, a 2016 Chaparral 244 Sunesta, underwent a seasonal hull, engine and outdrive service at Seattle Water Sports. The service was completed, at a cost of $3417.34. *ne of the services completed was Run engine to temp, replace oil filter, drain and refill engine oil, run and verify no leaks/level.*n July 4, 2024, my boat experienced a near catastrophic oil leak as I ran the boat on ***************. I contacted Seattle Water Sports and they sent me an estimate in the amount of $839.95 to check on the issue but no expected appointment date.A highly capable friend in the field of boat mechanics isolated the oil leak source as coming out of the top of the oil filter housing where an * ring is located to seal the housing cap. We took a video of the leak. Eight hours of total time spent to clean the engine, diagnose the source of the leak and clean the excessive oil from the bilge. Another $110 spent on oil and oil absorption pads.Seattle Water Sports provided conflicting accounts regarding the * ring they had installed during the March service.Seattle Water Sports conducted a dock call a short time later and replaced the "*" ring.*n two separate occasions I requested that Seattle Water Sports provide me with an invoice for the work to replace the * ring and confirm the specific cause of the leak (wrong * ring installed, faulty * ring, etc). I never received any response. I sent the video of the oil leak to Seattle Water Sports President, **** **** via email on July 15. **** indicated receipt of the video and that he would follow up with his service team to discuss and then call me afterwards. I never heard back.I finally called **** again on April 4, 2025. He said he would check into the issue and get back with me. Based on the circumstances I proposed a $700 comp from *** on my next engine winterization. It is now May 7, 2025, and I have still not received any follow-up communications from ****.

I purchased a NEW (as in, never used) Venture boat trailer from Seattle Water Sports. The trailer was picked up by me on 6/27/24. After driving 140 miles, 3 of the wheel bearing were throwing grease. Also the hydraulic brakes appear to be leaking, as well. I have attempted to resolve the issue with the company, but they are not communicating so that this may be resolved. This is a NEW trailer! These issues should not be happening. I would just like my new trailer to be fixed and in proper working order, so that I may haul my boat safely.
